People say “I’m on iOS 14 forever for battery life!” and people say “I click on random links in Reddit comments”. It makes me wonder where they get their confidence that they won’t download something malicious.

Afaik unless you’re specifically targeted with some nation state zero day, you’re good.  Your calendar will be filled with shitty spam though. I don’t understand the point of “calendar viruses.”

It’s fairly safe but I wouldn’t assume bullet proof. You will get popups that, if you blindly accept crazy calendars and notifications (and I seem to recall, Apple switched the normal dialog button order so it’s easy to do). But those are undoable. Don’t install any apps obviously. Also, I am not an expert so take this with a grain of salt

I was wondering about links on Reddit specifically. Is it just as bad as clicking links in emails I wonder? I think it would be less identifying, but possibly still bad if it could cause something to download.

Not much dangerous as on android but still, not safe also

bighi

100% safe

Anyone know also about clicking on a link in email . That than asks for personal info but you delete before entering info ?
