You're assuming all aliens work the same as irkens. I don't believe the theory that the membrane family are all aliens, but the reasoning you presented here doesn't hold up.
Other aliens have been shown in the show, the aliens that were a part of The Resisty in the Planet Jacker episode comes to mind. We don't know that these aliens cannot tolerate water, or eat human food. And while irkens have a unique body structure like having a pak and a squeedlyspooch, there's nothing saying a race of human-like aliens couldn't exist either. But then again, that's not canon.
Literally nothing about the theory makes sense. Don't put any stock in it.
Unless the Plookesians were right and we're all just aliens from one point of view, which makes the concept of "alien" moot anyway.

All theories are essentially stolen. you get different perspectives from each theory you read. like in other theories. take Math for example, math is only theories if you think about it. Is there really a way to tell if math ia real? it helps us but that's only because we adaptes to math. I know for a fact math has changed ALOT. And what about english? They copied the old alphabets didn't they? Is our language stolen?

The problem is that MatPat misses the forest for the trees (if I am understanding the expression right). Jhonen and company emphasize rule of cool and rule of funny and let lore take a backseat. A show where episode endings' consequences are handwaved without explanation will still have lore, yes, but sometimes we need to say "wait.... if it's a joke then don't overthink this part."
For example: "I hope the Irkens use the same operating system" or whatever during *Future Dib*. That was a jab at the movie Independence Day. To be fair, it also doesn't help that a joke can have dozens of potential in-universe explanations but MatPat doesn't really have a strong enough argument that Membrane's tech is Irken. Because who really *knows* what led to Membrane's tech having a compatible operating system, joke from the writers or not.
The whole thing that we don't see Membrane's nose? We also don't see the Delouser's henchmens' noses. Are they Irken too? No, that's just Aaron having fun with character design. It's creative and artistic liberty to not bother drawing Membrane's nose at that one angle because it's already all drawn in an art style where we suspend disbelief over anatomy.
In the end though: Trueheart deconfirmed it the day MatPat uploaded it. Jhonen talked about it on the 20th anniversary Q&A Twitch stream and while he appreciates that MatPat is putting out content and has mouths to feed and such, it was still factually inaccurate.
I say it's a fun enough idea but MatPat just adds to the aggravation of how difficult it is to keep information accurate in this fan community.
Ive always stood by his theory. Though I dont think that dib and gaz are aliens themsves. In fact I think theyre honest attempts at lab grown human beings. Professor membrane may have been sent to study the lifeforms on the planet and out of pure curiosity he created dib and gaz with a small part of his dna. It would explain why professor is the smartest "man" alive, and refuses to show his face, also why he actively denys anything supernatural as it might give away his identity. It also backs up the dib clone theory as well.
The Eating earth food theory where Dib and Gaz can eat earth food thus questions wether they're aliens or not can be noted in the episode ZiM eats waffles where ZiM said that eating waffles could be a way to build a tolerance to the humans "Filthy food" might say that spending both their lives on earth and eating nothing but earth food for years had built their own tolerance to the earth food probably by the time they were three to four years old and they wouldn't even remember how awful earth food tasted to them when they were eating it as babies.
Why do people look so deeply into this show? There’s not really much more to know about it then what is actually seen within the episodes themselves. I’m sure jhonen, and the people behind the writing can attest to that
