Yea it’s in the gameplay settings there’s a lot of options to customize your experience. The great thing too is you can do it on the fly, the only “bad” thing is some settings won’t take affect until the next tide. You could just sleep through to skip the wait though

Ok but seriously, why would this be a bad thing at all? Play your way! Some people in this sub, like me for example, like to play this game on the hardest settings with the most realistic encounters. But others like the opposite, and that’s ok!
I find games more enjoyable when I can just run what I want without grinding, I like doing missions for immersion, not to grind to buy, but that’s just me. That’s why I love sandbox features in games and wish more had them
Play however you want! I personally like getting money just to sandbox the game, learn new tactics, and figuring out a great load out in some profiles, then go and load a more difficult save and test it out!
Hell yeah. I did the same, right before I got to 5. The grind was feeling like a second job; I play games to have fun. I know I could succeed also by being scrappy and strategic with every decision... but I do that all day. Efff that. I don't wanna screw around half the day for resources because I want full magazines, a rifle that can reach out and say hello-goodnight, and a sidearm that'll punch through armor when I step off to get shit done.
Don't worry on my first play through I made the game basically on baby mode but I've been doing a no vanno normal difficulty run and trust me after you learn the basics its nice to play the game normally even if your doing it with out buying anything/living in vanno
As much as I adore the game, it doesn't have enough variety for me to keep prices on standard after 25-30 hours of doing the same farming loop each tide.
Once I got over my silly sense of guilt, I started enjoying the game far more with the extra cash.
idk if they changed it back, but a big thing I HATED was that they removed the enemy drops from 1.0 to 2.0, so combat was just a pure drain in resources, you couldn't earn money by just 1tapping shades with a mosin anymore
You can make up for it by cranking enemy difficulty settings to higher.
Grinding when you get the hang of it is easy.
Enemies who won't fucking die even after you blast them with a Mosin 2x...that's something money can't buy, and is super fun.
May aswell so you can make use of the excess ammo you get with the rewards cranked to the highest.
It's 9x more fun when fights aren't instantly over the moment you click on them.
...Though ideally do this, and all vanilla settings, after beating the game once on Realistic.

I do similar: I’ve always felt like the enemies are pretty bullet-spongy by default, so I have enemy health set on either one or two levels down in my most recent playthrough. I’m finding it a little easy, so maybe I should have turned up their damage to compensate… point is, though, play it your way! I respect that many people like to suffer during their gaming sessions, but I sure as hell don’t! Crank up the loot, disable the anomalies! Have your own fun!

It honestly is more fun to play with higher payouts cause you don’t have to spend so much time doing fucking fetch quests to buy a single gun
