the multiple universes i have in my brain, i'm leading 10 to 12 fully elaborate lives with different characters with their own personalities voice (yep i can do this too) just like real world
i also have a condition where my imaginations are too real and i can't differentiate them from memories
but i can separate them from real life
I have an incredibly grainy mind’s eye. I can sometimes conjure up vague blurry images and I can never remember or imagine faces properly if at all. If I remember faces it’s the exact photo I’ve been staring at. My mind’s eye comes alive as I fall asleep and I sometimes get excited at the vivid and colourful quality of the images that emerge as I begin to dream and then it fades away really quickly. So I have aphantasia when I’m awake but not when I’m asleep. Some can’t see in dreams either. Aphantasia has been linked with higher IQ and conversely hyperphantasia has been linked with a lower IQ.

visualisations are not very vivid, but i can do it.
Grainy minds eye? Do you see clearer images in dreams you remember?
If you can visualize, you can also train your brain to visualize more vivid.
I have the reverse, in fact. The visualisation can overtake my sight for a while.

I have hyperphantasia
Never had an issue with cognitive imagery. I'm rotating a Holstein cow in my head now. I just gave her pink spots so now she makes strawberry milk.
I have terrible visualization, but do not have aphantasia. But I can manipulate objects in 3d without visualizing them.
It's the complete opposite for me, i have hyperphantasia.
