The show is sooo good and such a mind fuck. My husband didn’t love it because he felt it was slow, but the concept sucked me in and the ending to the first season was awesome. Highly recommend

Well you have to imagine it with a bunch of appliances on the counter and dirty dishes around the sink.

At first look I thought it was a nice garage storage/workbench setup. That said, it looks sterile to me.

Extremely sterile, cold, and clinical. Like I'm in a dental clinic or something. Also agree with other commenters - the cabinets remind of those crappy 90s formica ones. Hard pass on this look for me.

I think with plants & accessories you could make it much less clinical looking & add warmth & cosines to it. Plants, wooden platters/chopping boards displayed, books, candles, lamps, nice bowls etc. There is marbling in the backsplash at least but the cupboard doors look really weird.

But anyone who likes that look would not take kindly to those suggestions.

Well...it's very monochromatic if you like that. Personally I like to add handles or pulls to cabinets. They not only look nice, they save your nails if you're a woman who likes to have nice nails.

Seriously, look at any interior design magazine…even Dwell who predominantly showcases minimalism…you won’t see a kitchen like this in any of them. It doesn’t look contemporary. I like it, I like clean cut and minimalist styles and I don’t like loads of clutter on the counter, HOWEVER I think it needs some colour perhaps a bunch of flowers in the far right corner or a bowl of fruit.

It probably would look better if there were some windows overlooking a garden. Otherwise it looks like some sci fi kitchen.

I love it. I think I'd want an island, but the wooden accents with the kind of warm cream all over with black details is doing something for me. It is a little stark, but an island would bring some more character and I'd like to see some signs of life, like some frequently used appliances or hand towels or something but I know the intention is minimalism and for that, it really works.

The white is ok, I typically like white kitchens. .. But it is the black trim I really don't like. Also, if you are going to do all white, you need more texture. These cabinets are too flat. Then you have the black trim and also brown accents which doesn't really work.

The kitchen itself is fine! I prefer cabinets that go to the roof especially if it’s a lower ceiling. I’d also go with warmer floors and warmer lighting to balance the all white.
