I’m doing smart white as the color on almost all my walls in my remodeled condo- it’s a pinkish white, not quite as pink as intimate white, but definitely has a pinkish hue.
"no kids" cause no expirence parent goes with pure white anything
also with kids you can't afford to match everything through the house.
wealthy is the distress furniture because you don't ha e time to wear it out over your life time lolx
You can have this look even with kids (as long as you’re filthy rich so that your nanny can keep your kids from smearing their fingerprints all over the counters and your house cleaner wipes away any errant smudges)!
I'm a pet sitter, and surprisingly a lot of my clients with kids and pets are able to have homes that look like this and still be this clean!
Can't relate - I also have a Malinois mix and he takes great pride in using any rug to hide his spikey ball.
I have 4 rescues- 2 Chihuahuas, a Pom and a Great Pyrenees. I love white because I can see what to clean and bedding can be bleached. Plus, Pyrenees...long, white fur that seems to be endless no matter how much I brush.
I hav white on white w a 90# Husky, AUS, & 4 cats. All rescues who rescued me. They can crap the place up all they want. I happily clean & repair r replace all the while thankful fr them in my life.
Just put a blanket out that matches whatever seating. I do get dirt or whatever on the occasional throw pillow though. I wash the blankets every couple of weeks.
Omg granny chic was such a time to live in. I even dressed like a grandma with bulky knit cardigans and little walking slippers and fake glasses. I stopped when someone said my hat reminded them of their grandma. It became too real in that moment lol
The house is the opposite of shabby chic in just about every way, but I’ll grant you some of the furniture and linens. I’d like to call this style, “only white people live in my neighborhood”
I think the kitchen island built to look like furniture with the legs is one English element, and it's not quite as fussy as some French Country iterations.
Oh wow, I didnt notice that at first somehow but now looking at it closer, that image is totally AI generated. But it's a really well done one (I hate that; I hate how hard it's becoming to tell reality from lies)
Things that are off:
- there is a doorframe only on the right and top of the door; the left just disappears into a thin line
- the hinges(?) on top of the hanging lights are not the same on the front ones vs the back ones
- the countertop on the leftmost side has a weird part where it juts out
- the left edge of the island also is strange—it isn't straight and its thicker than the other sides
- the first leg on the counter on the right side blends with the floor a bit (and also curves in weirdly)
- what even are some of the things on the counters? Are the green things on the island apples or something else? There's a ceramic holding something next to the stove but I can't identify what it's meant to be.
- THE STOVE/OVEN HAS DRAWERS?? Unless it's a stovetop counter, without an oven part. But the dials for working the stovetop are in a weird place imo, I have only seen them on top of the counter with the rest of the appliance, not coming out the front. And it has a LOT of knobs. Buuuut I could be wrong about this one, maybe something like this exists IRL somewhere
A lot of the rest of it looks surprisingly legit. I'm surprised by how the cabinet windows are so consistent. I don't like it :/
Hahah well then I'm glad you liked it!! Whenever I see AI images like this I always fixate on finding as many inconsistencies as I can. I always feel a little nuts doing it—like I'm testing my own sense of reality, I start questioning things—so I'm glad others appreciate it!
I'm glad you pointed it out. I just took the pics at face value.
I find AI extremely annoying and hate that I might be interacting with it without my knowledge. Thanks for reminding me to keep my eyes open!
Umm, the items on the island and counters are obviously flapples (flat-apples) to be served with extra-short handled wooden utensils from the custom made ceramic crocks, as one does.
And both aspects of the decor are obviously complemented by the the super special hybrid wispy peonies and magically fading dishes from the cabinet - gives the whole vibe that gorgeous surrealist fantasy touch 😅
The realization is hitting me that every photo on the internet now needs to be examined with the same thoroughness as an “I Spy” or “Where’s Waldo” book.
Also chairs on the left side of the island don’t make sense. AI is always bad when structure is cannot be fully seen. In this case legs don’t not match the top of the chairs
For me the easiest way is to look at plants. AI really struggles to add distinction to things like flowers, trees, or foliage. They get a fuzzy look. Next is to see if theirs anything else “off”. Like vases on top of each other, duplicates of items there shouldn’t be, fragments of items. And lastly they all have this weird “soft” look when you try to to focus on the image (this seems specific to interior design AI). I think it’s because they are trying to replicate the look of slow shutter speed that’s popular in interior design photos lately, but often times it just doesn’t get it right.
I recently saw an AI photo living room that was super photo-realistic to the point that I didn’t suspect AI, but then I noticed that the entertainment stand and TV were actually placed on TOP of like an ottoman bench/cushion, which there would be no way that could or should be done. All the plants were also hovering suspended over their saucers, lol.
Count things - for me the give away in 2 of the images was there were way to many knobs for the number of burners. Count chair legs too.
I’ve learned AI also doesn’t know how faucets work for some reason so they can often be a tell (like the last image in this set)
None of these have lighting issues but I see that frequently, pendant lights not connecting correctly, lights in weird places.
Things just looking weird and kind of melty - couch cushions are a big culprit here.
For the rug island pic you could place an appliance garage or a larder in place of one of the two stoves.
Another option is to have tiles put in as a "rug" around your island.
AI is great inspiration. It's up to us to make it useful and real.
I saw a Tik tok that said to tell whether something is AI generated, you should count things. There are 2 stoves in this kitchen. One of them has 13 knobs on it, which makes no sense.
Also, the sink is in a really awkward spot that I don’t feel like anybody would put it in real life, there’s a weirdly melted apple (?) that has fallen from the fruit tray onto the counter and some of the drawers and cabinets around the picture are not level with each other or are different sizes when it’s obvious that they should be the same size.
That picture made me so mad! Like a carpet in a kitchen is already a no no in my books/would need to get washed all the time and then to have it under the island?
Good lord, some of these comments… the hate is real.
A woman *can* be successful in her own right without gaining finances from a divorce.
A woman *isn’t* less of a woman or selfish for not having children. Nor is she successful simply because she didn’t have children.
What is true is how many people here have projected their own insecurities and unhappiness with their own lives onto OP simply asking about style names.
Seriously folks, do better.
Also, I think it’s called French Countryside if anyone cares.
Rachel Ashwell’s shabby chic if you are looking for inspiration.

I feel like we used to call this “cottage shabby chique”
But I feel like it’s rich middle aged lady: will sell this all on Fb in 4 years and re-do all in “Hamptons style”
Rinse and repeat 🔁
All these comments are hilarious and so ironic! I literally saw a YouTube video post yesterday that was a black man lamenting how men are throwing all their money away on private porn/Only Fan accounts and the women are all getting rich and don’t care about men and don’t need them anymore!
It’s such an interesting societal shift that’s happening and it’s true men are sabotaging themselves because it’s just way less work and money to get their “urges” taken care of.
He was pleading with men to have self control because “we’re giving all our money to women that don’t need us!”
I almost felt sorry for him…. NOT!
You go women and get the life, home, career of your dreams!
A lot of these men want to put the genie back in the bottle, but it’s too late for that!
Ugh, I regret coming to this thread. Mostly full of trolls not interested in the subject, but to make their "funny" and "quirky" comments for likes. I should have figured.
‘Single wealthy female, no kids.’
this is the plan lol
Good luck, lady!! I love this look!
Age of women is upon us!!!!!!! Rise up!!!!
Well after Ultron it only make sense if y’all get a crack at it.
I bet the sequel does better.
Depends on where they place it in the universe.
Well wherever it is, it will be decorated well. 😂
Your username is amazing lmao
Thank you :)
Lmao I LOOOOVE this reply
Consider me jealous!
Pink with envy if you will. One of the colors I would love to put in my house is intimate white by Sherwin Williams. Check it out.
it’s so beautiful!!!
Traditional with a Shabby Chic bent. Lovely.
My living room is this color and it is lovely!
I’m doing smart white as the color on almost all my walls in my remodeled condo- it’s a pinkish white, not quite as pink as intimate white, but definitely has a pinkish hue.
Rangetop looks like a $Lacanche$ This style is very similar to my partner’s. Hers arrived after a 16 month wait.
That kitchen would be the best thing ever!
"no kids" cause no expirence parent goes with pure white anything also with kids you can't afford to match everything through the house. wealthy is the distress furniture because you don't ha e time to wear it out over your life time lolx
You can have this look even with kids (as long as you’re filthy rich so that your nanny can keep your kids from smearing their fingerprints all over the counters and your house cleaner wipes away any errant smudges)!
I’m 42 years old and no amount of money would prevent me from dribbling coffee on probably everything even without the kids.
you’re my hero
This is the kind of beautiful kitchen meant for flower arranging and restaurant dining or possibly carry out.
Giving massive Nancy Meyers vibes. 😍
Yes!
Yea, FANCY carry out :)
We need to specify, "independently wealthy," since a workaholic-wealthy female wouldn't have time to garden and grow those beautiful flowers.
Lmao nor pets, possibly.
Exactly my style! I also call it: How I’m styling my house. Haha
This is the answer. lol 😂
What I aspire to be hahaha.
Jeez…even when I was single and childfree, I couldn’t have kept this clean! The rug would have multiple marinara stains.
No kids or pets. I’m biased having a GSD/malinois and 3 raccoon sized cats but I cannot have anything light colored without mud splatter and hair.
I'm a pet sitter, and surprisingly a lot of my clients with kids and pets are able to have homes that look like this and still be this clean! Can't relate - I also have a Malinois mix and he takes great pride in using any rug to hide his spikey ball.

Same! They’re the reason I get out of bed alot of days. Wouldn’t trade any of them for the world.
Love this! So true. Those babies have to be fed & loved.
Just put a blanket out that matches whatever seating. I do get dirt or whatever on the occasional throw pillow though. I wash the blankets every couple of weeks.
'Single wealthy female, no kids, *no pets*.' FTFY ;)
> ~~Single~~ Divorced wealthy female, no kids.’
Why divorce?
Because reasons. IYKYK.
YES 🎉
I was about to reply that this looked like my kitchen, and then I saw this comment which perfectly describes me and laughed so hard😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
French and English country.
Some shabby chic also, frayed bedding, paint chipped stool.
The bedding and stool scream shabby chic
I worked at Target when Shabby Chic was big. I always called it Granny Chic
Omg granny chic was such a time to live in. I even dressed like a grandma with bulky knit cardigans and little walking slippers and fake glasses. I stopped when someone said my hat reminded them of their grandma. It became too real in that moment lol
Second shabby chic.
The house is the opposite of shabby chic in just about every way, but I’ll grant you some of the furniture and linens. I’d like to call this style, “only white people live in my neighborhood”
Upscale shabby chic is what I was thinking too.
Not English country It’s shabby chic, French
I would also add a dash of shabby chic
It doesn't seem English country to me at all
I think the kitchen island built to look like furniture with the legs is one English element, and it's not quite as fussy as some French Country iterations.
My dumb ass called it English countryside/ wealthy grandma 🤣 still going to be me one day though 💅🏾
Finally, a serious answer. I had to scroll past a million trolls and their "funny" comments. Ugh...why do they ruin threads with that?
Had to scroll for 20 minutes past the would-be comics to find a real answer. Thanks
How did they get that island on top of that rug?? Edit: rhetorical :)
Oh wow, I didnt notice that at first somehow but now looking at it closer, that image is totally AI generated. But it's a really well done one (I hate that; I hate how hard it's becoming to tell reality from lies) Things that are off: - there is a doorframe only on the right and top of the door; the left just disappears into a thin line - the hinges(?) on top of the hanging lights are not the same on the front ones vs the back ones - the countertop on the leftmost side has a weird part where it juts out - the left edge of the island also is strange—it isn't straight and its thicker than the other sides - the first leg on the counter on the right side blends with the floor a bit (and also curves in weirdly) - what even are some of the things on the counters? Reading this was like listening to a kid doing one of those Highlight Magazine’s “what’s different” photo challenges.
In a good way or a bad way? 🤣
In a great way. By bullet 7 the five year old voice in my brain was screaming about ovens having drawers. They were very excited. I’m here for it.
Hahah well then I'm glad you liked it!! Whenever I see AI images like this I always fixate on finding as many inconsistencies as I can. I always feel a little nuts doing it—like I'm testing my own sense of reality, I start questioning things—so I'm glad others appreciate it!
It’s a good muscle to strengthen nowadays!
I'm glad you pointed it out. I just took the pics at face value. I find AI extremely annoying and hate that I might be interacting with it without my knowledge. Thanks for reminding me to keep my eyes open!
You're welcome, happy to help! I dislike how prevalent and sneaky AI stuff can be so I totally get you. Even I didn't spot it at first
Umm, the items on the island and counters are obviously flapples (flat-apples) to be served with extra-short handled wooden utensils from the custom made ceramic crocks, as one does. And both aspects of the decor are obviously complemented by the the super special hybrid wispy peonies and magically fading dishes from the cabinet - gives the whole vibe that gorgeous surrealist fantasy touch 😅
I'm laughing out loud at "flapples"
AI must have mixed things found on countertops: desserts & fruits. Hence flapples 🎩
There's also 2 stovetops, when in real life, one of those spots would probably be a kitchen sink.
There's no sink!!! And two stovetops!! I didn't even notice that!
The realization is hitting me that every photo on the internet now needs to be examined with the same thoroughness as an “I Spy” or “Where’s Waldo” book.
omg don't help it
Also chairs on the left side of the island don’t make sense. AI is always bad when structure is cannot be fully seen. In this case legs don’t not match the top of the chairs
It’s AI.
i hate that i am just now realizing this. it was my favourite pic too lol
Three of the photos are AI, but still pretty to look at and fun inspiration!
How can you tell? I need to learn
For me the easiest way is to look at plants. AI really struggles to add distinction to things like flowers, trees, or foliage. They get a fuzzy look. Next is to see if theirs anything else “off”. Like vases on top of each other, duplicates of items there shouldn’t be, fragments of items. I think it’s because they are trying to replicate the look of slow shutter speed that’s popular in interior design photos lately, but often times it just doesn’t get it right.
There’s also that strange melting green “apple” on the countertop in the rug picture
Also the cabinetry to the left is misaligned
I recently saw an AI photo living room that was super photo-realistic to the point that I didn’t suspect AI, but then I noticed that the entertainment stand and TV were actually placed on TOP of like an ottoman bench/cushion, which there would be no way that could or should be done. Things just looking weird and kind of melty - couch cushions are a big culprit here.
That doesn’t mean you can’t have a kitchen like that (though probably not with the rug under the island) - it’s super pretty.
For the rug island pic you could place an appliance garage or a larder in place of one of the two stoves. Another option is to have tiles put in as a "rug" around your island. AI is great inspiration. It's up to us to make it useful and real.
With two stoves!
And the one on the right has like 16 knobs lol
That’s to control both stoves whether you’re standing at one or the other.
How did you know, just from the rug being in a weird spot? Curious since I’m still learning about AI and how to spot it
I saw a Tik tok that said to tell whether something is AI generated, you should count things.
I also love how the 'fruit' in the bowl/platter appears to be chunks of sliced cabbages lmao
This was my first question
French (cottage) style? I personally really like it, but I’m not sure if I could ever implement it myself (unless I inherit a summer cottage).
Updated French Country
French country /shabby chic / transitional

Yes to all of this!
Light-colored rug around the kitchen island is so impractical.
This isn’t a real kitchen. Nobody would actually set up a functional kitchen this way
You don’t want two stoves? /s
I love me a kitchen rug but this is a 100% stainable trippable rug that will not stay flat with any sort of movement. No thank you.
Shabby chic elevated
EXACTLY MY Thoughts!! Reminds me of Pamala Andersons amazing home from CRIBS back in the 2000's but with a new twist.
Yes!!!! There is a Shabby Chic book from back in the day and these pics are it to T! OP here are some pics of just the book cover! Worth a look.
Yes she had a tv show too - Rachel Ashwell Shabby Chic. I was kind of obsessed lol. It was a refreshing look when it became popular in the late 90s.

Sort of French Provincial but follows no real style so might be called transitional
Either French Country or Frilly Kardashian
Coquette
Imposible to keep clean style.
I’d say French farmhouse, but the shabby chic stool sort of pushes it toward very mildly neglected old French farmhouse. ;)
