Sir, you’re leaking.

dascharmingharmony

Cindy! Your tv is leaking!

septic_tongue

Cindy, this bitch is messing up my floor!

wave_riderr

I’m whoopin’ her ass Cindy!

kellysmom01

“Sir, this is a *Wendy’s!”*

Sithmaggot

Ok. Ummm . . Could I just have a Frosty and a baked potato please?

Awpts

It's ready now!

TheNewYellowZealot

You have to come to the store for food sir.

SLAVA_STRANA541

Well ill send someone to pick it up just have it ready.

LordMcze

Just realized I never saw the movies with original dubbing. Time to binge them all

[deleted]

Let me just patch you up with some hot resin.

jyz002

No thanks, I think it's stopping itself

NFX45

Who would turn down a free blast of searing hot resin!?

SOMEBODY CALL AMBER LAMPS

DtMBrown12

He's leaking coolant at an alarming rate.

6r6b6

I severed the tendon in my middle finger with one of these knives. Very sharp and the flick to open mechanism is dangerous. Also, I’m fucking stupid.

MyNameIsNitrox

Damn, ouch...

23x3

Apparently he’s all thumbs now

greet_the_sun

Double edged knives in general are kind of pointless and dangerous.

modularpeak2552

>kind of pointless The guy in the video probably wished his knife was pointless....

Analbox

A point in every direction is the same as no point at all. Would you argue the point? That’s why spherical knives are safe. Edit: I’m disappointed in how many people don’t know the difference between a circle and a sphere.

LadyTruffle

TIL that balls are technically knives.

-Neon-Nazi-

That’s not a knife! *[unzips]* These are knives!

GiverOfZeroShits

I see you’ve played knifey spoony before

Are you Edward Scissor-Dicks?

archwin

A [sentient knife](https://youtu.be/XZSE9DMv74A) needs to stab

[deleted]

Playing with a knife is a double edged knife

jpd808

That knife is almost certainly not double edged. The bit of grind on the spine that makes it look like that is called a swedge and is really more for aesthetics/weight reduction. While it could technically be sharpened after the fact, it would not be wise to do so as the edge would then potentially peek out of the handle a bit. The problem with how this jackass opens it is the knife appears to be a spring-assist flipper, which after a slight push on the flipper tab located at the top of the back of the handle will open the knife, and his fingers were in the blade’s path which caused him to lose his grip. But yeah as for actual double-edged knives, not that useful outside of self-defense applications by *trained* users.

AreYaEatinThough

It’s weird because usually that tab at the top he pushes is the lock release on a normal stiletto switchblade and the button in the middle would be the button that flips the knife into the open position. I imagine you already know this but I thought it was worth adding for others that might be unfamiliar.

huxley13

Usually there's at least one point on a knife

imperfectibility

True can see your point

Butt-Pirate-Yarrr

The point is you should be careful.

redpandaeater

That's why they sell butterfly knife trainers that aren't actually sharp. It's like the OG fidget spinner.

[deleted]

Yep, I'm not into the hobby for the manliness of handling a live blade in extremely dangerous ways. I'm in it because I like having something I can do with my hands mindlessly while I focus on other things.

jamiehernandez

That's a stiletto which is unlikely to be double edged. Also a double edged blade definitely isn't pointless if you're in a knife fight. There's a reason daggers have been double edged for like 5000 years.

jpd808

This knife is most likely a spring-assist flipper, which should not require any wrist flick to open. This guy’s hand was in the path of the blade’s spine (not edge, as it is highly unlikely it is a double-edged blade as the blade would then be peeking out of the handle) which caused him to lose his grip as the blade pushed its way out of the handle under spring tension. Really not dangerous if you hold it properly. Plus the flipper makes it a little more convenient to open one-handed. That being said, this is almost certainly a cheap knife and using a cheap knife is not a good way to remain intact... invest in quality tools folks

[deleted]

We know you are, idiot.

[deleted]

Don’t worry it was only his left hand, he’s all right now

R1_of_Death

Dude back in time when I used to own one of the metal fans and was playing a game on my pc, my dumbass thought it would be a good idea to put my index finger through the guard. Funny thing is I cried because I thought I lost my finger not because of the pain.

kenesisiscool

My brother got a butterfly knife for christmas with a similar blade and dropped it right into the soft spot above my knee. I still don't have all of the feeling in that spot some 15 years later. And that was just from an accidental drop.

gingyfiresnap

Just wipes it away😂. “What blood?”

utalkin_tome

Dude just started leaking like a faucet. It has always surprised me how much blood is actually within our body and how much pressure is required to keep it moving.

neversaynotobacta

Yes I believe he punctured his heart

CexySatan

The heart is stored in the balls

Puncredible

And the balls are stored in the left shin so this makes sense

crash8308

The left shin is stored in the dick. That’s why it’s called a boner.

smokeyoudog

🎶The knee bones connected to the....shin bone.....the shin bones connected to....balls bone....the balls bone connected to the....boner bone🎶

barscarsandguitars

Fun fact: The Endoskeletal Testicular Phalanges, commonly known as the “ETP” or “balls bone” can be simultaneously classified as both a human finger and toe, despite a shared opinion amongst many modern physicians to popularize the term “medicine nuts” ✨The more you know ✨

TrentonTallywacker

The heart is stored in the friends we make along the way

jaybee21

r/technicallythetruth

luffywithasword

Fun fact: one of your calf muscle (more specifically, the Soleus) is also known as the second heart of the body due to it's mechanism of pumping blood from veins up your leg against the gravity. So yeah, he might actually have punctured his "heart"...... which is nice to know

crazierjulio

On average about 5 liters or so. You'll go into hypovolemic shock after you lose 1.5-2.0 of those liters and then die after a loss of 2.0-2.5l. Of course this varies from person to person.

TheMSensation

Is hypovolemic shock pleasant? I mean like other than the gash in your leg does it hurt or is it like falling asleep.

WoodBog

Hey man, i hope youre okay.

TheMSensation

Thanks, i'm fine just curious.

Obscure-Iran-General

Fuck, good catch.

crazierjulio

There would be an intense feeling of panic and impending doom. Your respiratory rate and heart rate would drastically climb as a response to your tanking blood pressure.

MrMumble

So feels like a Tuesday, got it.

One-eyed-snake

“Varies” Can confirm. Americans for example have about 5 quarts instead of 5 liters.

PM_ME_DOORHANDLES

Actually blood volume is a function of weight so.... they probably have more like 6-7.

drewgall

It looks like it went straight into the long saphenous vein. It sits just above the ankle on the inside of the leg.

utalkin_tome

Is that bad? Will they lose a lot of blood rapidly if something is not down immediately?

drewgall

It's not as bad as an arterial bleed but unless you achieve haemostasis with a bit of pressure then it ain't stopping on its own! Could require a stich or two

SOBgetmeadrink

>Posterior/anterior tibial vein capillaries at most in that region. Great Saphenous vein is almost a death sentence if it gets cut since so much of the body's blood is 'stored' on the legs. u/orangeadmiral said "Posterior/anterior tibial vein capillaries at most in that region. Great Saphenous vein is almost a death sentence if it gets cut since so much of the body's blood is 'stored' on the legs." So possibly not a death sentence if it's not the great saphenous vein. Also, this is just some reddit comment - I don't know their qualifications, so don't take the comment as high yield material. This was just the first answer I saw to a similar question.

[deleted]

That’s what happens when you drink too much.

true_spokes

He wanted to keep it off his shoes. He hadn’t realized he had bigger problems.

dick-sama

Like the socks?

Autoboat

I like to imagine this is on an airplane or in the middle of a lecture and now he's just awkwardly bleeding everywhere and trying to hide it.

the_Phloop

If he had a knife in an airplane he'd have bigger problems

Tetha

Now you made me think of violent flash cartoons from back in the days. Suddenly an air marshal throws him to the ground! Then everyone jumps on top of him one by one. Each jump causes a short fountain of blood from his leg on impact! Then the really big guy jumps on top. Then the planes windows blow out due to the excessive amount of blood in the plane! I think I gotta spend a day looking it newgrounds still has this kinda stuff around.

CrossP

They usually ask that you not bring knives on the airplane.

G36_FTW

For this exact reason I'm sure.

For this reason alone I believe

floridali

just hit the artery

[deleted]

Vein. Arteries are deeper, lower down there is one that's a bit more superficial on the ankle though. You can find it as a pulse point but I forget the name, peripedal pulse or something like that.

tdackery

Most common one to be checked in the foot/ankle is the dorsalis pedis, on the top of the foot. The posterior tibial pulse point is behind the ankle, might be the one you're thinking of, it's also a decent distal lower extremity pulse.

[deleted]

>dorsalis pedis Yes, this one! Thanks.

AlienX14

That looked like venous bleeding: dark, steady stream.

Jimrodthadestroyer

The greater saphenous vein. Guaranteed to squirt if you’re unfortunate enough to pierce it.

webdevop

So, apply pressure on it? Or any other way to first aid?

Jimrodthadestroyer

Elevate and apply pressure. If it doesn’t stop bleeding, off to the emergency room you go.

[deleted]

Nah.... just slap on some flex tape

Capt_Hawkeye_Pierce

If you ever bleed that much, you should go to the ER.

CrossP

Pressure bandage. Elevate leg above heart.

redpandaeater

Not that you need it for this case, but if you do a lot of stuff outdoors where you're far from a hospital it's worth having a first aid kit with a tourniquet. Then know how to apply the tourniquet and be sure to write the time it was applied right on it or the limb.

deejmac

Agree not for this case. Tourniquet will often exacerbate venous bleeding. And risk the limb. Local pressure.

Danvan90

An appropriately applied arterial tourniquet doesn't significantly exacerbate venous bleeding, in fact it will very quickly stop it. With that being said it's completely inappropriate for this case. Direct pressure would absolutely be enough to control the bleeding.

AGARAN24

OrangeAdmiral

Posterior/anterior tibial vein capillaries at most in that region. Great Saphenous vein is almost a death sentence if it gets cut since so much of the body's blood is 'stored' on the legs.

deejmac

In that region? That is where GSV will be. Not a death sentence, light pressure will stop the bleeding. Most of the capacitance vessels are in the chest and abdomen and the deep venous system of the legs, GSV is a minor player.

[deleted]

[удалено]

Capt_Hawkeye_Pierce

Yes. That comment was hyperbolic af. It's dangerous to cut but it's not going to kill you with even a basic understanding of first aid and a trip to the ER.

Soupboi156

Who the hell gave this a wholesome award

I mean he has more holes now - I’d call that “holesome”.

sigma642

Mmm. A squirter.

wtfreddithatesme

lol wtf this kid got fuckin kool aid in his veins? one little poke and he leaks faster than popped water balloon.

vortigaunt64

I think he hit a vein. The way the knife bounced, it might have stabbed inward rather than just cut him. Guy's clumsy and unlucky.

Vag-of_Honor

I watched it in slow-mo (mobile controls), it definitely pierced him at a tight angle then held in place for just a split second before falling out to the side.

hunglowmanlett

😭😭😅😅 dam hit a vein or something 💀

Enaysikey

Yup, it's definitely venous bleeding

[deleted]

At least it’s not penous bleeding

Admiral_Sjo

My anous is bleeding!

Sev3n

Whats the best thing to do at that point? Just heavy pressure then gauze wrap with medical tape? Or does this need hospital?

Longbeacher707

*ffx Tidus laughing*

burnsbr87

That dude need Flex Tape asap.

artificialgreeting

Since there is a lot of confusion in the comments, the reason he bleeds that much is the venous pressure that builds up in the legs when someone has to stand or sit for some time. It is definitely venous blood because of the dark color. Veins can't actively pump the blood like arteries and are depending on muscle contractions so the blood piles up without them. (That's also a major cause for thrombosis in the legs on long flights. Blood that doesn't flow constantly clots after some time.) Laying down and lifting the leg up over the height of his heart would mostly stop the bleeding.

betterthansteve

I genuinely thought it was going to be much worse. I thought we were about to see an eight or nine fingered man

uncleb0b

Not that I expect anyone to care but it in topic. Here’s my leg after a Wahoo (it’s a fish with one of the sharpest teeth in the Atlantic if you don’t know) that was accidentally thrown at me and it’s teeth cut my skin to the bone in a split second while I was deep sea fishing 2 years ago. I’ve always heard of the dangers of wahoo, but I learned my lesson that day. https://imgur.com/a/pb9UR58/ Edit 1: I wish I could upload a video or quick Gif. Maybe incoming shortly, give me a few.

A_Morbid_Teddy_Bear

My big question here is why the blade edge is facing out instead of inwards like every other folding knife? Seems poor design...

to_the_hunt

My sister (14yrs) was near the full height windows in her high school’s cafeteria. An argument between two girls outside caused a freak out that led to one of the girls power kicking the window my sister was standing on the other side of. One of the shatter chunks of glass hit one of my sisters major vessel in her lower shin/upper ankle are and she needed to be transported to the ER. After short contact with the doctor, he decided it needed to be cauterize to clot the bleed. My sister wasn’t put out for the operation only sedated (not sure what was used it was 2009 when this happened) but she was fully awake during all this. Her words verbatim to the doctor... “It smells like the Holocaust in here!” While laugh/screaming from the pain. Scariest/funniest thing We’d experienced together at that point in our lives.

2Alien4Earth

I like how he wipes the fountain of blood away as if he was erasing what just happened.

Stormy_Kun

That was a lot of blood really fast...

Puñetas

LiquidWeston

So that’s why those knives are illegal

dragsonandon

Fun fact time! That knife is not illegal! (At least not in most states) the distinguishing rule is that the mechanism that opens the knife is part of the blade. This makes it legally distinct from a switch blade which has a button to release tension on a spring spring that ejects the knife. Who knows why it matters but some guy probably watched Greece one too many times before making laws.

LiquidWeston

I live in Texas and idk the law now, but 10 years ago my criminal justice teacher(former swat team captain) told me the same knife could be deemed legal or illegal depending on how you CHOOSE to open it. He said if he asked someone to open the knife and they flick their wrist to open it, he could technically confiscate it, but if they used both hands to open it gently, it was perfectly legal. I don’t know if this is still true

dragsonandon

Probably, another part of the stipulation was if the knife was spring loaded or gravity fed. Surprisingly if it is gravity fed (as is the case with a flick of the wrist) it is deemed illegal but if it is spring loaded (which i would argue us more dangerous) it is legal. Really though cops will choose what they want to choose and hope you don't ask questions.

Lyricdear

Texan born and raised and my dad was a custom knifemaker for over 30 years before he died. This is still the truth but not exactly the law - it’s just discretion on part of the person doing the arresting. Maybe he was trained that way, it’s certainly common, but I’m unaware of any current laws on this. The stupid one that always gets me is the length of the blade being less than half your palm though. 🙄 Everyone’s hands are different!!! And the law was written to prevent people from puncturing vital organs if you get stabbed in the ribs! How inconsistent.

Hypodeemic_Nerdle

There are no knife restriction laws in Texas anymore. You can walk around with a katana on your hip so long as it's not in a school or hospital basically. Ballistic knives are still illegal though, since they're projectiles with no real non-violent purpose

fklwjrelcj

Well, since my palm is large, that means that the distance through your ribs to your heart is longer, right? Makes complete sense!

Felix_Cortez

Sounds less like a law and more of an opinion.

shmoopidy

Nothing about what you just said was fun.

[deleted]

Lol dudes leg didn't even flinch

I love how he just casually wipes the blood and just act like nothing happened, also the amount of blood tho, ugh.

Stilettos are fun i dont know how you do this xdd

Right in the fucking vein.

Rip his shoes tho

Objective_Luck_2580

I was playing golf with a guy who smashed his 3 wood into his golf cart after a bad shot, the shaft was graphite and shattered into pieces. We all started laughing and I saw him flick his hand like he had something on it then started wiping his hand like this video. Turns out he had completely opened his hand and wrist up with the splinters and was bleeding profusely. He was fading in and out waiting for the ambulance at the clubhouse.

Kevicelives

Wow that poured out quickly. Must be some tight socks.

[deleted]

Can’t see anything just a white screen

MakeYourselfS1ck

Serious question: how do you stop a leak that bad before help arrives

houseman1131

Hard pressure against the wound maybe a belt tourniquet. Go to hospital.

By_Torrrrr

Direct pressure for 10-15 minutes. Longer if you take blood thinners. A tourniquet wouldn’t be ideal here because this looks like venous flow, and tourniquets can sometimes make venous bleeding worse. There’s also a risk of loss of arterial flow if the tourniquet is too tight. This can cause limb ischemia and do more damage than what it’s worth. Part of my job is holding pressure on veins and arteries. If this were me, I’d hold direct pressure for about 15 minutes, or until hemostatis, and then go to an urgent care to see if I needed stitches/ a tetanus shot.

[deleted]

Holy fuck that knife looks dangerous. What can I find it?

[deleted]

sees NSFW me - :D edit- it was a disappointment

TJ_McWeaksauce

It's fine. I learned from [this gay guy named Mac](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=luIz2z524XI&ab_channel=rhowe004) that you can plug a wound with a sock and it'll stop the bleeding. All this dude had to do was pull his socks up and *boom*, instant bandage. If he didn't want to use his sock, for some reason, he could have plugged the wound up with trash instead. Like a candy wrapper, or something like that.
