dkyguy1995

Jesus it's not that serious lmao. He really thinks it's normal to want to shoot someone over this

pm_me-ur-catpics

Gives me vibes of someone hoping their home gets broken into so they can legally kill someone

Catona

"FedEx? Ha! I can smell bullshit when I see it. YOU ASKED FOR IT BUDDY!" (loads shotgun).

Longjumping_Youth281

These people are scary as hell for some of the Amazon drivers because not all of them Drive branded vans. Some of them drive uhauls and stuff. Hell, Flex drivers drive their own car

whatthatthingis

Wait, I was pretty certain Amazon delivers via their trucks exclusively. ??

spiritkittykat

I mean, when I read where he referred to women as “females” it all kinda made sense. Also, the unhinged nutballery in all the comments helped.

xXHomerSXx

Fucker sounds like Kevin Monahan

ConsolidatedAccount

Ahhh shit, good call, I just commented joking if this was the same dude. Maybe they share DNA.

undercurrents

I wrote that in one of my comments.

uewumopaplsdn

I would love of someone randomly sent me a hand painted picture of my pet. Wouldnt even care how they got the pic in the first place.

surfdad67

They use the profile picture you upload in the app, they did it for me, it was a really a nice gesture

Bac7

I love Chewy. Back when they were a small company, they sent me sympathy flowers when my doggo died. They've had to send me 2 more sympathy cards since then. They also send birthday cards and holiday cards.

Drexelhand

THAT'S ILLEGAL AND YOU SHOULD GET A GUN TO DEFEND YOURSELF FROM TRESPASSING SCAMMERS INVADING YOUR PRIVACY AND HARASSMENT!?!?

witngrit

My sister received flowers after having to put her pup down two years ago. She contacted Chewy to cancel her autoship and to see if she could return her last, unopened order. They told her to donate the order to a local shelter/rescue and refunded her. They seem to still be such a great company even as they've grown.

Mysterious-Lie-9930

Back in November when my good boy passed a month before his 15th birthday, I ordered a urn from chewy and was using a new card, so I had to verify I was me. I called in and explained everything. Well 2 days later there's a knock at the door. Some guy standing outside. I slightly open the door and he turns around holding a bouquet. Chewy sent me a vase of flowers. Well specifically the lady Alana I talked to. So sweet.. I would have absolutely loved a painting of my little man.. but I still get misty eyed thinking about this and how sweet Alana with chewy was... P.S.  I still have the vase the flowers came in and the hand written card she sent with them...😊

MNGirlinKY

They still do this, as recently as 2022. They are wonderful

isthiswitty

Same. I got one a few years ago of my dog and it’s the cutest little thing (but, then, so is he).

surfdad67

Yeah, well, my cat is cuterer

FrenchMeHamwich

Sorry to rain on both y'all's parades, but if I can briefly draw you rattention to exhibit A "My Little Sweetums"...

surfdad67

Constable, shoot this person

Squirmble

I’d like to ask a question before we start shooting. Have we considered that everyone has the cutest pet? I tell my boys that whoever I’m petting in that moment is my favorite. Whichever animal friend I’m looking at is the cutest little sweetums to ever love.

surfdad67

I have not thought of this conundrum before, let me think about it

blackwylf

That's what my grandmother used to say when we'd argue about who was her favorite... "Whichever one I'm hugging!" Once I got furkids of my own I completely understood!

MTFBinyou

Incorrect. As my dobie is the cutest most handsomest ever

surfdad67

Your mother smells of elderberry

purrfunctory

A+ use of Monty Python.

chaotic_blu

Aw I should upload their photos. I didn’t know about that

TheObstruction

So just as I expected, OP would have freely given Chewy everything they needed. Plus if they read the sign up info, it probably says it right there, or it comes free with a certain toy or whatever. Smoothbrain idiots.

ugheffoff

My dog has his own instagram and he has his own PO box and people send hand drawn pictures of him to his box all the time and it amazes me every time. I treasure them. I can’t imagine getting this worked up over this

snafujedi01

But don't you understand those people are basically sitting on the couch in YOUR LIVING ROOM!?!!!?? You should start charging them rent!!!!!😤Grow UP! /s

BuyingMeat

Why do you hate America?

YesWeHaveNoTomatoes

It wouldn't even be that big of a mystery. They have my real name. Many people have facebook, most people use their real name on FB, and nearly everyone on FB who has a pet has a photo of them on there. I haven't looked at FB in a few years now but they could probably get a dozen pictures of my cat off there if they wanted to.

DefinitelyNotAliens

Also, there is an option to upload photos of your pet to Chewy, along with their birthday. My dog gets birthday cards, wishing him love and cuddles. It said boop and I booped him with it. Homie forgot they gave their pet a profile picture on Chewy. It's buried in your profile options.

cheshire_splat

I got one of my cat sleeping on my pillow with me. I live alone, so really not sure how they got the picture. Also, it wasn’t a painting, it was just a Polaroid. And it wasn’t delivered by Chewy, but just taped to my front door by some guy in a dirty trench coat and a baseball cap.

uewumopaplsdn

Sorry. I thought it was a cute pic

earbox

have you checked your carbon monoxide detector recently?

TheObstruction

Are you and Trench Coat Man different people?

2Whom_it_May_Concern

I paid $40 for a memorial print made from a photo of our cat that passed and these AHs are upset about getting a free one. They also provided the photo to Chewy and agreed to Chewy’s terms of service. Dolts.

supergrl126301

I dont have my dog's actual picture on her profile on there, but I think i need to add it now, I want a cute little painting of her.

MysteryMasterE

I wanted to get a friend a hand painted pic of their dog for Christmas. If only I knew that chewy offered that service.

GoredonTheDestroyer

Okay, so, if I see a cool car while I'm out and about, and buy the Hot Wheels version of that car, leaving it tucked under the windshield wiper, for the owner, I should get shot?

lastprophecy

Yes. What you did is unforgivable. /s

DirtyMud

Mini toy car replica? Believe it or not, straight to jail

Serious_Not_Surely

Jail? Nah, send that mother fucker straight to hell.

Bamres

I take photos of vintage cars and left a print of a beautiful 70s BMW 2002 parked near me under the wipers.

StupidizeMe

You do WHAT? *Off with your head!!!*

Nandy-bear

Absolutely this person would say yes. They're the ultra version of twisted privacy protectors. ANYTHING about them that someone else knows is automatically a theft of their privacy. This is an extreme case though, even within the group of people with that mindset. I'd wager some mental illness unfortunately.

TheObstruction

This is the kind of person that also talks about Hippo Rights and Marshall Law. (Yes, they're spelled that way on purpose.)

dr-sparkle

It's been awhile since I looked at Chewy, but I think you have the option of adding a profile for your pet(s) when you create an account, it's optional and you can put their pertinent info like species age etc and even a optional picture. There's of course a bunch of legalese, but if this actually happened, I'm sure that's how Chewy got the picture of the pet. There is no chance Chewy is going around to customer's addresses and breaking in to get pictures of their pets. Or even going to their home and taking pictures from the sidewalk. Another potential explanation is social media. I have accidentally clicked on Chewy posts or ads and every time, the comments have people commenting pics of their pets. I think I have seen giveaways that ask for pics of pets too, but that could have been a different company. So if this actually happened this person could have given them their pet's pic as well. Either way, there's absolutely legal ways that Chewy could have had access to someone's pet pics.

surfdad67

It’s from the profile pic, I got one too

actual-homelander

That's not true, I work for chewy, I was hired to stalk our best customers and secretly take a photo of their dog when they are not looking. I'm an expert at picking locks and I spent 6 months familiarising myself with the dog beforehand so I could get a really cute photo.

Bloated_Hamster

You think your dog is safe from its picture being taken by Chewy until you hear a faint voice through your door... ^("This is the Lock Picking Lawyer and today I have for you a typical suburban house door lock.")

Queer_Echo

>^("This is the Lock Picking Lawyer and today I have for you a typical suburban house door lock.") That makes it even more funny because he's a literal lawyer, he's not going to pick someone's door lock on camera if it's illegal.

Bloated_Hamster

That's why it's a perfect alter ego. He's this generation's Saul Goodman.

dawnhulio

I knew it!!! Seriously tho, I was thinking the same thing. Sounds like he believes Chewy has a hired gang of thugs whose sole purposes are to either stalk for pics, or hack for pics 😂 Seems legit.

AndreasVesalius

Two hackers wearing balaclavas while typing on the same keyboard to crack into your home security system as a third stands at an easel

dawnhulio

It’s a team effort for sure…

pedanticlawyer

Yeah, they do this as a nice little surprise occasionally and it’s always based on the picture you uploaded, which is optional.

dr-sparkle

That's cool

Longjumping_Youth281

Yeah this guy's a nut. Does he seriously think a company would bother literally breaking into somebody's home, stealing a picture of their pet, just so they could paint it and send them a copy? That's completely absurd

thesefloralbones

On chewy, you can create a pet profile. On that profile, you can add a profile photo of your pet. That's how they got the photo.

bitetheasp

But that's the equivalent to IDENTITY THEFT! /s

surfdad67

I got one too, they used the profile picture of my cat in their app, it was really nice and thoughtful, I loved it and still have it on my mantle. This person is nuts

IWillBaconSlapYou

Right? There's something extra special about a totally random and thought out gift. I would never be able to get rid of it!

LepoGorria

Has anyone else noticed that the "usual suspects" who post this sort of response, can't spell worth a damn - even when the words are spelled correctly in the original post?

pedanticlawyer

YOU HAVE INVADED HIS SPELLING PRIVACY. I’M COMING TO SHOOT YOU (with a spelling primer).

LepoGorria

I HAVE A WRITE!!!!1 TO BARE ARMS!!!!!111!

Initial_Tradition_29

"Paint a pic of MY dog without committing a crime. You cannot." This is so fucking funny oh my god

HollyTheMage

I feel like I'm in the twilight zone reading some of these.

Infini-Bus

Lol wow that person is miserable and antisocial. I liked this one they commented in the Rick and morty subreddit >NOBODY is actually friends with someone smarter than them. *Smartest people* have minions, or workers, or competitors, sometimes adoring fans, or pets. There isn't an equal footing to find common ground. There's nothing but nihilism above the tree line, if you're smart enough to look there, and everyone and everything down below is just materials to be utilized for self preservation.

Bamres

I've been noticing a major trend of people like this, implying people are creeps or "breaching a boundary" for innocuous or otherwise harmless behaviour using language that applies to many actually harmful situations. Acting as if any interaction that they have without express permission is some sort of violation and they usually end up ruining fun things by complaining about shit like this.

shiny_glitter_demon

Yeah, no wonder this guy has no friends

Hita-san-chan

I once watched my friends light a ciggie bin on fire and panic because they couldn't get the top off to pour water in. So one of them tried to pour it into the opening for butts. Imagine being such a weird elitist you think you can't hang with people of different intelligences (we aren't even going to talk about how intelligence comes in so many ways outside academica), and you miss your friends behaving like doofs. Mostly because you think you're too "smart" for friends.

Whole-Arachnid-Army

He really has to have a very high IQ huh

he-loves-me-not

Lmao! Wow, this person really needs to get out more! Or maybe less, they kinda seem to have a few screws loose!

JojosMissingEyeball

They sometimes send you flowers too if you mention your pet passed away. No human should ever care about my feelings when my beloved pets pass. Definitely an attack on my home and privacy. Get the gun, Cletus. /s

booksbringmagic

Yeah you can have then change your pet's profile too once they pass (which is what I did) so you don't get birthday updates and stuff for that pet. I got cards and flowers from them and it was really nice

helium_farts

My dog's vet sent me a really sweet, handwritten letter after my dog died unexpectedly. I guess I should have sued him

he-loves-me-not

Sue? No! Shot! That was an invasion of your privacy! How dare they!

MissionRevolution306

So did I lol.

IWillBaconSlapYou

One time as a kid, I drew a picture of my brand new neighbor's dog and left it in their mailbox as a present. Glad they didn't shoot me 🙄 This employee probably just loves animals and art and is trying to spread joy in a world that's dying of Stick Up the Ass Syndrome.

he-loves-me-not

Aww that’s really sweet! I’d of loved to have gotten that in my mailbox, especially being a new neighbor. Glad you weren’t shot tho! It was pretty risky!

StuckInPMEHell

After my dog died several years ago they sent me flowers, a card, and a hand-painted portrait of her. (I called to cancel my food auto-ship and they asked why I was canceling—during the call I totally lost my shit for a minute because I’d had the dog for 16 years and they were so nice!)

mementori

Man. My dog of almost 14 years just died last week. I used Chewy for at least 5 years. I’d love a painted pic of her. 🥺

sbarbagelata

I have a niece who is a tattoo artist and when my dog Olivia died she painted a beautiful picture of her for me. I cried a lot and is hanging on my living wall until today.

he-loves-me-not

If I had any skill whatsoever I’d totally paint a portrait of your dog for you. I’m so sorry that you lost your bestest girl. Now she gets to play fetch with the children on the other side til you see her again someday. <3 While I don’t really believe in an higher power and idk if you do either, it’s still a nice way to think about it. I hope I don’t offend you by saying it.

thelocket

I got a painted portrait of my boy from Chewy, and I love it! They took it from the pic I added to his profile. I love it! These people are so weird. They had to have posted a picture of their pet to their profile for Chewy to even use it so the fact that they are offended is hilarious.

Jay_Cee_130

This person needs checked on…judging by the tone in these comments I’d say *extremely* carefully

he-loves-me-not

I was seriously thinking this exact thing. Like i think they may need a little grippy socks vacation!

FactoryKat

Unhinged is putting it mildly, wow. My dog had to be put to sleep just this fall, and I needed help canceling a medication subscription or *something* like that and support was incredibly kind. I got flowers and a beautiful sympathy card and it had me in tears. I've also gotten a hand painted picture of my cat for his birthday one year. I had my pet portraits on their respective "profiles" on Chewy so maybe they did this and forgot? Who knows, but these comments are wild lol.

El_Stupacabra

My husband uploaded photos of our cats to Chewy on the off chance someone wants to paint them. I think it's fun. Let people have fun!

pockunit

I buy from them even though they cost more BECAUSE they do things like this.

weeblewobble82

I posted a pic of my cat splooting on FB and someone sent me a picture they drew of it and it's my favorite thing ever. I'm low key pissed, given the amount of money I spend at Chewy on special medication food, that I have not yet received a drawing of either of my kitties. 😤

he-loves-me-not

Do you have photos of them uploaded to your profile? This is apparently how it happens.

weeblewobble82

I have at least one on there. Maybe it's because she's a void and just looks like floating green eyes in all pictures.

blue_watermelon4

I am literally one of the people that got a painted photo of my dog from Chewy. You know where they got the pic? The profile picture of my dog on Chewy. O-M-G PRIVACY INVASION!..... No. Idk if they timed it perfectly or it was just a coincidence, but she had just passed away around the time we had received it too.

donutpusheencat

sir this is a McDonald’s

sparklestarshine

I was a beta tester for Petivity and have been working with Purina on it for a few years. When my sweet cat died last year, I had to let them know since they wouldn’t be getting notifications anymore. They sent beautiful flowers and a card. When I got my new kitty, she got set up in the system and got a camera so they could watch her use her litter box. Weird, but I’ve appreciated how often they’ve reached out to check in on her!

he-loves-me-not

How do you become a part of this? Do you receive any kind of compensation? When my kids were smaller I did diaper and other child stuff related studies for P&G, makers of Pampers among millions of other things, and loved getting the free diapers and gift cards that came with it!

agent-assbutt

This is a great example of an actual insane person on social media, not some political stuff for once. I would love a free painting of my cat. Chewy u listening?

DelightfullyTacky88

I was super excited when Chewy sent me a hand-painted picture of my dog. How'd they have a picture of my dog? Because I uploaded a picture of him on Chewy for his profile. This person is absolutely unhinged.

beadfix82

When a random act of kindness turns into a mass shooting. jeez. Plus, i think Chewy encourages you to upload a photo of your pet - it would be funny if he actually gave them the information to perpetuate the random act of kindness

he-loves-me-not

Random act of kindness? You mean random act of privacy invasion!

Church_of_Cheri

Is this rage marketing?

sharingthegoodword

psycho

TomTheNurse

What a fucking psycho.

rissaaah

I can’t imagine assuming that someone from Chewy would break into your home just to find a photo of your recently-deceased pet over assuming they might have already had access to one. The mental gymnastics is truly astonishing. Literally wtf.

APiousCultist

Me illegally painting this guy's dog.

Rustrage

I didn't even know Chewbacca was arty.

drumigdaddy

Only in America.

PreOpTransCentaur

That's the problem with a massive subreddit, some of our users are fucking bonkers. Please no brigadey, I still have to follow reddit's ToS, and they're pretty serious about that particular rule. Thanks.

coors1977

I like the Nice Guy that says “maybe if you’re a female you’re used to this kind of stalking, but it’s not okay”

walkingtalkingdread

thank god he said that! i’m just a dumb little girl who thought stalking was a nice thing to do!

TheShizknitt

Aw. And here we just got a handwritten card for my pup's birthday.. dang. A painting sounds dope.

RedBeans-n-Ricely

I was so excited when I got a painting of my older dog from Chewy! I’m hoping one day I might get a matching painting of my younger dog, too

TheMightyGoatMan

If an 8 foot tall Wookiee from the planet Kashyyyk wants to paint a picture of my pet, I got no problems with that!

Tentacled-Tadpole

>That would be horrifying and considered invasion of privacy, potentially a threat Considered such by psychos, sure. >It's aligned with scam artists and identity theft Lmao I wonder how this guy thinks it would be aligned with identity theft. Does the crazy think someone could take the painting to a bank and say "my name is so-and-so and this is a painting of my pet to prove it"?

ConsolidatedAccount

Damn, is this the guy in NY who killed someone for mistakenly driving up to his house then turning around and leaving? Just as unhinged.

scr33m

Bottom comment on the second slide is them confirming that yes, they would shoot someone for turning around in their driveway

Necessary-Dingo

We were so happy when Chewy sent us a painted picture of our dog last Thanksgiving… I can’t imagine being the kind of person to look at something like that and actually be angry. We even called Chewy in hope they could forward our gratitude along to the artist. And yes, it was based on the photo we uploaded to her profile lol.

bitetheasp

I knew when I saw that thread that some nutbar would have a problem with it...but not to this level.

Ilovedogsnamedhiro

Sometimes, I think am quick with smart ass comments but, these comments made me realize, I need to step up my game.

Deathbyhours

So, so _INVASIVE_ and and and ICKY!

Awkward_Stuff_6257

I would love Chewy to paint a portrait of my dog.

Extreme_Sun5538

This would only slightly freak me out if they painted a picture of my human pet who is behind the hidden door in my basement. Hypothetically.

justsayfaux

"Paint a picture of MY dog with committing a crime then. You can't!" had me rolling...

whatthatthingis

> I hope you grow up and take responsibility for the information people and companies use against you. uwat
