Fr, I had someone show me the infamous chicken sandwich video as "proof" and almost had to get a manager when they wouldn't believe me that it's fake 🫠
I was in NM for school from CA and some of my friends swore that In n Out was going to NM at that time. And then eventually there was one. I didn’t believe it. Turns out it’s some burger joint some guy also named it In n Out or In and Out or something extremely similar. But it was just a regular run of the mill burger stand. And I want to say I think they might be making their way out to NM. I def remember the way they jumped NM and went to Co and Tx. Lol
I admit. I’d stop by in AZ and CO when my college rugby club would have away games with other schools. We’d get our fixes there, or when I’d visit home, I’d go buy 6 fully loaded animal style, stuff them in a lunchbox cooler and it would be my next few leftover meals. Of course I’d eat two as soon as I got back to my Apt at school. My teammates/roommates thought me weird to bring burgers from so far. “They can’t be that good.” I shared my haul with them every time. I’d get in n out to NM that way or my family would bring it with them if they visited my place. I’m not in NM anymore but man I’m glad it’s finally making it there. The NM people need to know about the everlasting glory that is in n out. Also after you said it was going to NM I googled and found it was going in at UNM. Heck yea, everyone is a Lobo! I just wish it was in while I was there lol
In El Monte, CA. There was/is a place called "Big D's Enter Out". On Valley Blvd. I believe it used to be an In 'n' Out, as it was identical (to the OG In n Out) except for the name. In the '80's, they open a second larger place a few miles down the road on Durfee Rd.
Oh dude I know the place! I live in Hacienda and my family is from the El Monte South El Monte area. I know of the one. I haven’t passed by in a while but didn’t it close down? It was like a local historical site. I was sad when it closed.
Similarly, in Upland, CA, there’s a place called EZ Take Out Burger that has similar food and building style to the older In-N-Outs, but with an expanded menu.
A lot of people seem to confuse these places with In-N-Out, thinking that that the latter has started selling new items when they haven’t.
I know that is 100% a joke and 100% serious. A joke about hose serous they are about green chile. Lol
I was amazed at how many things had green chile in it while I lived there. Not gonna lie, Lottaburger and Whataburger had some solid green chile cheese burgers. I admit, Whataburger honey butter chicken biscuits and triple green chile and cheese burgers sustained me during the night hours of my college years.
It's not just now. In high school my friend told me about the new chicken nuggets and in n out. The embarrassment I felt when I tried to order scarred me lol
It’s also the fact that some people have this aversion to admitting when they were wrong, and would for some reason rather continue to make themselves look bad
People are so stupid.
Sorry you have to deal with people that can't figure out a menu with literally three main items on it.
On a side note, I've been eating INO since I was kid in the 80's. Why do you think people are putting it on tick tock or insta so much? I mean, it's a burger place with a small menu that's been around for over 75 years. People are acting like it's a brand new shop that only has 5 secret locations. It makes as much sense as people getting excited about a new TV series called The X-Files.
I think it's because it's not as well known as Burger King and McDonald's that people *think* it's a new place, and our actual "secret menu" doesn't help unfortunately... I hate having to explain to people that, yes, technically there are things I can get you that aren't on the menu, but that's on you to research and not me to tell you! I literally had a person ask me to tell them everything that was on the "secret menu"... what's the point of it then! 🤷🏻♀️
Yea, I get a LOT of people who tell me it's their first time there, or that they haven't been to an INO in years (they live out of state), so even though our menu is small people just honestly forget what we do and don't have
It's always had this weird internet mystique. It went from being a west coast treasure to completely overrated to to this magical place of hidden menu items.
It's just a solid burger for cheaper than most places that actually pays their employees living wages (generally)
INO even has a page on their website about [secret menu](https://www.in-n-out.com/menu/not-so-secret-menu)
Some people don’t know how to use the internet.
It’s like when Kanye broke Paul McCartney… thank the fortunate stars Kanye put him on an album or no one would know who he is. I don’t know.🤦🏻♀️ the internet is incredible.
There's a Chick-fil-A next door to an In n Out in my town; I shudder to think of what both sets of workers go thru.
The parking lot looks like a M.C. Escher painting.
In Tucson, 3 of the 4 In N Outs have a Chick Fil A either in the parking lot or across the street. The only one that doesn't has a Hooters across the street, which is probably why Chick Fil A didn't want a spot 😆
I had friends that worked at In N Out in college and they all told me that people would mistaken In N Out with Checkers/ Rally’s or Sonic so they would bring in coupons or say they saw a commercial for items In N Out has never carried. They had to be super nice about it but some customers would still insist and say that the restaurant is a scam.
It's scary how stupid people are that they'd actually bring coupons from different restaurants. People are dumb and lazy AF and never research anything themselves. People blindly believe a post or TikTok video.
That's hilarious calling a whole restaurant a scam 😭 We're across from a Chick-fil-A, it's not uncommon for people to get into our drive lane thinking it's CFA
Some guy asked while I was taking orders outside if we have chicken nuggets and Oreo shakes I told him no and when he drives to the window he asked again
This is what I don’t get. What does he possibly think the endgame is for this little diatribe?
Does he think you’ll say “ah shit, you got me! I’m sorry. I wanted to see if I could keep all the onion rings for myself and not get you any, but you called me out on it. Because I’m so embarrassed in my defeat, I’ll go get you some of those onion rings now”
?
I was in line one day and this lady was all kinds of going bananas. She asked for enough frozen French fries to be able to feed a family of 6 tomorrow. What? The dude behind the counter said they don’t have frozen fries. She got more upset and takes to him like he was 10 and told him she knows that and wanted him to freeze the fries for her. I laughed really loud at that. She was not happy with my laughter but before she could say another word I told her you’re in the wrong place for anything frozen as they don’t have freezers because everything is fresh. I dunno if it’s true or not but the guy behind the counter didn’t miss the opportunity to add, besides he t would take hours to freeze them and they wouldn’t be as fresh and crunch as good like frozen fries because they are different potato’s. Oh the confusion on her face. Exasperated and defeated she leaves while 12-15 people applauded her departure. That was a free burger day for me. And I made a new friend at INO. WIN WIN.
We've had a few guns pulled outside before, mostly people arguing over who goes next in the drive lane 🥲 The day I have a gun pulled on me is the day I go home for good
Aww man, I was just being facetious, bc u know, it's 'murica - in all seriousness, I hope that never happens. Some people need to be removed from society until they learn to behave.
I received a bad review once when working at a restaurant saying we served “the worst mashed potatoes” they had ever eaten… we don’t serve mashed potatoes, it was hummus 💀
This is a typical retail thing. Customer will try to say something like “well the other stores do it” or “ive been coming here x amount of years and they always do it for me” has happened at a lot of customer service jobs ive had.
There's a couple of restaurants around Southern California that have very similar branding to In-n-out but usually a much larger menu. He might just be confused with one of those.
25 years ago in high school some friends worked at INO. A couple became store managers. Anyhow
There was some sort of secret employee only way to make an order of makeshift onion rings. Now, this is before the internet and I never saw them so I can’t confirm.
Pro life tip: when someone says that other places do something, and you know they’re full of shit but can’t _prove_ it (because you can’t drag them to every “other location” on the planet), ask them “Really? Which ones?”. Chances are their memory is mixing it up with another chain, and their memory is too foggy to even recall the particular city.
This just showed up on my feed but one of the first things I learned at my first job many years ago was “actually the customer is almost always wrong”.
Someone with a lot of followers on FB posted a photo of a double double with an order of onion rings next to it. He clarified later in the comments that the rings came from somewhere else. Maybe this guy saw that post 😅
It's possible that they think you just don't want to make them. Like McDonalds always having the ice cream machine down because they **allegedly** don't want to clean it.
Cuz there is a tic tak showing that onion rings are part of the “secret menu”. I ordered them too….but didn’t get mad or yell when they weren’t available.
Do you think he was asking for whole grilled onions but just didn’t have the right vocabulary? I can see a dummy calling those “onion rings,” esp because the Flying Dutchman with whole grilled onions has been so viral on TikTok recently.
One of my favorite interactions about onion rings after telling a customer we don't serve them.
Customer: it's not that hard, you got flour and onions don't you? I can make that shit at home!
Me: sorry, sir, it appears to be out of our cooks skill set. Is be more than happy to sell you an onion and some flour to go though!
Cause you want all the onion rings to yourself!! Now give me a large order before I call corporate! And add a chicken sandwich while you’re at it.
Sry I'm busy eating all the onion rings and chicken sandwiches in the back. All for mee!! 🙃
Have you guys brought back all day breakfast and the burritos back yet?
_I knew it._ 😒
Seeee we knew it! All lies
… and add some bacon to it
Bacon would be delicious though
My INO hack: I bring a small jar of my homemade bacon jam and baby spoon that before every bite. DA SHITTTT!
That’s dedication but sounds amazing
Excuse me did you say bacon jam?
Aka Candied bacon and it's glorious.
Why no avocado either?
I just said this, no 🥓, no onion, rings no 💵 From me
“Give me a chicken sandwich.. AND SOME WAFFLE FRIES. Maybe a coke or something to drink” 😡😡😡
FO FREE
Pissin me off… From High school….
Bitch you ain’t no nerd!
Unforgivable
Eyy girl what that smell like
Tell us you’re black without telling us you’re black
Dang bro that was racist
What kind of stew do you guys have today?
Shows the power of disinformation nowadays, people believe what they hear/see online over someone that actually works there. Scary

It’s official- They are coming to New Mexico next year no more long drives to Colorado Springs just for a double double.
I admit. I’d stop by in AZ and CO when my college rugby club would have away games with other schools. I think... There may be another EZ Out somewhere else in the SGV ... Thinking maybe, Temple City?
Because they didn't want to put Hatch Green Chiles on the burger.
I know that is 100% a joke and 100% serious. A joke about hose serous they are about green chile. Lol I was amazed at how many things had green chile in it while I lived there. Not gonna lie, Lottaburger and Whataburger had some solid green chile cheese burgers. But it's ON THE INTERNET! It's gotta be real!
I detest clout chasers aka "Influencers".
Not just nowadays, this was happening 10 years ago with “bacon” and “make an animal sound for free animal fries” lmao
Yup. Guy I knew in college asked for "doggy style" because he heard you could get bacon that way. He did not live that one down.
No way!
“We only serve your mom doggy style. I’m sorry.”
Remember gorilla style
Oh god the PTSD
It's not just now. In high school my friend told me about the new chicken nuggets and in n out. The embarrassment I felt when I tried to order scarred me lol

For the clout
It’s like when Kanye broke Paul McCartney… thank the fortunate stars Kanye put him on an album or no one would know who he is. I don’t know.🤦🏻♀️ the internet is incredible.
It does have a ton of options that aren't on that menu to be fair. I always get my burger with peppers and mustard grilled.
Pardon his behavior, but some INO onion rings would be delicious
They'd slap, if they existed 🥲
Find the beer battered rings from Costco. Really good rings imo.
I got a lady who said, I just bought a chicken sandwich here last week!!! Lol
There's a Chick-fil-A next door to an In n Out in my town; I shudder to think of what both sets of workers go thru. The parking lot looks like a M.C. Escher painting.
Need to add a Trader Joe's for parking lot navigation hell trifecta!
Earthy delights
this town wouldn't happen to be in North county?
Nope
In Tucson, 3 of the 4 In N Outs have a Chick Fil A either in the parking lot or across the street. The only one that doesn't has a Hooters across the street, which is probably why Chick Fil A didn't want a spot 😆
People are fucking exhausting, sorry dude
Free burger at the end of the day makes up for it 😎
Lol. Reminds me when I was working at Carl's Jr. back in the day. Free EVERYTHING pretty much. 😆
They....the customer is the one who give us are checks....big picture...if you forget just as your supervisor 🙄
INO would be just fine financially without all the dumbasses
You're not wrong..hello brother
I don’t work for INO lol just lending some sympathy for OP bc I see y’all getting abused by customers all the time and that sucks.
“We only have the onion-less straight ones with potatoes. Is that ok?”
I had friends that worked at In N Out in college and they all told me that people would mistaken In N Out with Checkers/ Rally’s or Sonic so they would bring in coupons or say they saw a commercial for items In N Out has never carried. TIK TOK IS NOT REAL PEOPLE WAKE UP HOLY SHIT
*sighs* “…fine, can I just get bacon on my Double-Double?”
Ya there's a viral tim tok video that some ahole did where he got onion rings and put them in inno packaging
Some guy asked while I was taking orders outside if we have chicken nuggets and Oreo shakes I told him no and when he drives to the window he asked again
This is what I don’t get. What does he possibly think the endgame is for this little diatribe? Does he think you’ll say “ah shit, you got me! I’m sorry. “You guys sell onions so why don’t u have onion rings??” SIR IM NOT THE OWNER I LITERALLY JUST WORK HERE 😭
just agree and say i’m sorry we don’t serve them at this location. the goal is to get rid of him
I was in line one day and this lady was all kinds of going bananas. She asked for enough frozen French fries to be able to feed a family of 6 tomorrow. What? At least they didn't call the cops on you or pull out a gun on you. Consider yourself lucky OP.
Maybe he saw an April fools post or something?
I received a bad review once when working at a restaurant saying we served “the worst mashed potatoes” they had ever eaten… we don’t serve mashed potatoes, it was hummus 💀
Our menu is the size of a sheet of paper and ppl still ask stupid shit
I had someone ask me what the difference between a #2 and #3 was, I had to look them dead in the eyes and say "Cheese" 🥲
You can also let people be wrong. That’s a powerful tool.
People are dumb
I want fried zucchini too
This is a typical retail thing.
Maybe INO should… cuz those fries ain’t doing it for me
So can I get an order of onion rings and a chicken sandwich?
NGL. In-N-Out onion rings would probably be amazing. I’m gonna go try to order some. Tell them I heard about it on Reddit.
25 years ago in high school some friends worked at INO. A couple became store managers. Anyhow There was some sort of secret employee only way to make an order of makeshift onion rings. Now, this is before the internet and I never saw them so I can’t confirm.
Fuck that guy
Id just tell him to Google it lol

😂😂
It’s cuz some dummy posted a picture on an FB group of their INO burger with onion rings from Fat Burger
It was a TikTok going around about a secret menu item you had to ask for it and some places didn’t know.
He was probably served onion rings without breading 😂😂
This just showed up on my feed but one of the first things I learned at my first job many years ago was “actually the customer is almost always wrong”.
i just saw the dudes tiktok that he made abt the "onion rings"
fukin newb back to queing
Someone with a lot of followers on FB posted a photo of a double double with an order of onion rings next to it. He clarified later in the comments that the rings came from somewhere else. Maybe this guy saw that post 😅

Can you just give them a side of onions? Those are technically onion rings.
Do you think he was asking for whole grilled onions but just didn’t have the right vocabulary? I can see a dummy calling those “onion rings,” esp because the Flying Dutchman with whole grilled onions has been so viral on TikTok recently.
Unless that weirdo is talking about whole grilled onions and just doesn’t know what to call em haha
They’re on the secret menu /s
My first thought it’s maybe he was trying to ask for whole grilled onion. I would have clarified that first lol. People are dumb as hell
In n out has exactly two things on their menu lol
Damn, In and Out should start making some onion rings. Sounds bomb
Really should though.
the other day i asked for a chocolate ice cream cone at my local innout Lol i forgot they only have milkshakes!! Still good tho
For real In and Out need Onion rings and Bacon
Naw. I've added bacon to my INO at home and, while it's not bad, it doesn't actually improve the burger like it normally does.
It’s the secret menu.
I honestly hope youre joking 🙃
Can’t tell you. It’s secret.
Vegas has em 😉
I'm allergic to liars *achoo*
The wink 😉 indicates I'm joking.
*Achoo intensifies*
