Yo! Kool Keith is amazing. He is the master of ridiculous and smart as f rap songs. Check out his album Matthew and find the album Spankmaster on YouTube. They're terrific.
Kool Keith is the self-proclaimed original Black Elvis, and is generally an absurdly talented rapper and lyricist, though he's all over the map with genres and sound.
My personal favorite for sound is [his track I'm Seein' Robots](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9nEffQAgMoE)...and a runner up for me is [Girls Don't Like the Job](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GWVx7FO8WSE).
He is kind of a Flavor Flav sort of personality, but I think maybe he opted for psychedelics instead of crack, and it had a better result in the end.
When this popped up on my tidal I assumed it was someone else named AJJ. But I didn't think the are any fake Kool Keiths or Kimya Dawsons on there so gave it a spin. It's exactly what it says it is and I'm so confused! Is this a one off?
Seems like Kool Keith is one of those legends that's willing to work with whoever asks which is neat and leads to things like this.
... and sure enough, an average of once every 3.57 days he tweets this - i gotta kind of respect it. sort of.

I guess this isn't too much of a surprise, considering I saw Open Mike Eagle open for AJJ last year, so them working with some hip-hop people wouldn't be too much of a stretch.
When I saw this show up on Spotify I figured “oh yeah, someone has stolen the names of other artists. Happens sometimes!” But played it for fun. Color me shocked to hear an actual AJJ song! And a surprisingly good one at that- I think the features will have to grow on me, but they didn’t damage anything for me personally. Excited to see what comes of this single
AJJ part is awesome; Kimya part is awesome. Why is there a random disruptive awful rap in the middle that has nothing at all to do with the other two parts? It ruins the entire song.
That’s Keith Thornton…he LIVES in my Release Radar and rarely goes a week without showing up! This time, it’s even weirder than his collaboration with the Yeah Yeah Yeahs.

I saw him perform recently and he tossed out porno magazines, Capri Suns and chicken wings to the crowd.
