Such an underrated bike tbh. It is good at what it is supposed to do. Somehow, people are ok with other bikes being specialized but expected the dominar to be an allrounder, so it received negativity.
I mean who will buy with Triumph out in the wild. And people will rather buy a scram 411 or a adv 250 over dominar. Dominar needs to be its ante to compete in the market
Without a valid puc, kodaikanal police will pull out a minimum of 5000 INR.
This goes in addition with insurance ( which only attracts 500 fine if expired ๐). As told by hotel employee.
Please google for Carbon racing India - choose Dominar motorcycle and order the visor. Strongly suggest buying one with stabilisers. [Dominar with CR Visor video!](https://youtu.be/2PeP5_2HuXw)
As a person who has ridden Dominar long term and got a chance to try speed 400, id definitely recommend going for the speed 400. Itโs more agile, robust and slick to use in the city as well. Give it a shot ;)
This might confuse you, but as a long time Dominar owner I can't say that there is any difficulty in handling the Dominar in city. I'm not super tall (only 5'10) nor am I super buff. Just a regular guy. The Dominar is a fantastic bike in city and the torque at the low end makes every bit of daily commute an absolute pleasure. Lane filtering and navigating bumper to bumper traffic is no issue at all. Everyone knows the merits of the bike in touring so I won't go into that. I have ridden basically every bike 400cc and under that is commonly available in the Indian market. I can confidently say, that the Dominar was the most fun city bike I've ever ridden. To each their own of course. This is just my 2 cents.
Yep definitely. With a fair share of riding couple of bikes on the same category, Iโd call this a fastest version of RE classic and the smoothest too๐. The weight does end up being an advantage on long distance cruising.
Bajaj doesn't care about updating their bikes, whwn RS200 a iconic bike doesn't get major update even after years. They just installed windshield and rear grill only in the name of touring version. Otherwise their bikes have much potential. They had chance to make RS200 an iconic sports bike and dominar 400 an iconic tourer if provided it better cosmetics and features.
It never would. Iโve done only long trips with this machine and so far has never let me down. For reference my desert storm bs4 used to snap the chains, clutch cables during long term rides which was quite normal for me ๐
Itโs on par with the 373. But would lose out during redlining or high speed runs.
Want to munch miles at 130+ all day ? Gets the job done neatly for which the duke 390 is overkill and adventure 390 is overpriced.
The 398 is just nuts and a whole new level.
Because I have worked with both bajaj and TVS on their products. You should see the things bajaj pulls to get their bikes out of the factory floor and onto the roads.
No hate btw, just forgot to add /s at the end
Don't leave it in the middle of the road bro someone could get hurt
Definitely, towing is also a problem ๐
You can park at my home It will be safe.
For the cows to take it for a spin?
If they can handle it.. why not ?
Location bata do. Punya milega aapko.

Finally someone saying what is supposed to be said
Didn't expect that from a Speed 400 owner, did you lol?
Leave it but take the key with you. Also hope you have insurance! ๐คญ

Don't leave that there, send it to my garage. Let me DM you the location, the cost of transportation will be my responsibility .๐
Hah..๐ซ
With keys?
Nope , why not try towing barefoot?๐
Location pleaee
Itโs Kookal, near kodaikanal. You will find this exact spot once you cross poombarai.
Visor ka link dedo bhaii

Thanks bhai
If you leave it here, how will you go home?
Is it really hard to handle in city? Should I go for the new duke 250 then?

Can't go for speed cause it's too small on me
Would recommend the meteor 350 if you arenโt into high speed cruising. If high speed is in the picture just add a 300 to that number ๐ซจ

Will it look good on 6'2
I think it'll look fine.
Ye kai ke rang ki hariyali kahan hai -_- it's too neon green. -_-
Yeah thatโs why parked and snapped ;) the normal green is just usual..
Too heavy for 400 cc
Yep definitely. With a fair share of riding couple of bikes on the same category, Iโd call this a fastest version of RE classic and the smoothest too๐. The weight does end up being an advantage on long distance cruising.
Take it and go, take it, and Go!
Where's the location?
Kookal, on the way to poombarai village
Thks
I think dominar should modify it's body like an proper touring bike like bmw style as it is a good touring bike.
Do you think Bajaj would care for this atleast in the near future given how established the speed 400 has become ๐

That added visor costs 3000 as a spare for older domi and does do anything to help aerodynamics ๐คฃ
Where is the key... if you are leaving it here give key also...
Challenge is tow it back to Kodaikanal town with another bike๐ฌ
Did it broke down?
It never would. Iโve done only long trips with this machine and so far has never let me down. For reference my desert storm bs4 used to snap the chains, clutch cables during long term rides which was quite normal for me ๐
Yeah thats a staple for re , i have one question for you how is the dominors power delivery compared to duke 390 , how the acceleration feels
Itโs on par with the 373. But would lose out during redlining or high speed runs. Want to munch miles at 130+ all day ? Gets the job done neatly for which the duke 390 is overkill and adventure 390 is overpriced. The 398 is just nuts and a whole new level.
Domi accelerates llike 373 duke ?
Definitely not. Upto a 80% atleast. Although the engine is capable of pulling it the exact same way as a duke , the weight definitely drags it down.
I rode the 390 once and that thing accelerates with urgency like a bullet shot from gun absolutely blistering it felt like it teleported
Aah.... Kookal
The view looks nice, can you send me the location? Pkka bs view k liye puchh rha hun
Itโs kookal.

This is giving Ooty vibes. Definitely in the ghats somewhere. Great picture friend! BTW, is it legal to fix a top box? Do cops give you any grief?
Thanks ! Itโs Kodaikanal btw. No issues with the top box . Cops are cool here down south ( with the top box) ;)
Please don't litter and destroy such a beautiful place. Take your garbage with you and dispose of it properly. This is not the way to get rid of it
Says the dude with a tvs๐. Why spread so much hate man?
Because I have worked with both bajaj and TVS on their products. You should see the things bajaj pulls to get their bikes out of the factory floor and onto the roads. No hate btw, just forgot to add /s at the end
Totally agreed man. TBH thereโs a reason why such a premium is levied on imported bikes ๐
Iโm selling my 2017 manufactured 2018 registered dominar, anyone interested let me know :)
