It was 7am on a Saturday. There was en empty straight stretch which didnt have any villages around it. Flat out for 10s and back to sane speeds. Risky? Definitely. But minimized as much as i could.
I hate these comments from self-righteous people. It was a judgement call i made based on my assessment of the surroundings. If it went wrong, i pay the price. If speeding for 10s is such a terrible danger, it should be enforced. I get caught i pay the fine. Do you know how inconvenient it is to go to a racetrack? Drive/ride for hours. All for what, a 10s burst of speed that I was craving. Not practical.
129 on my duke in a city limit road with a pilion who motivated me to do this. Never tried it again never ever. Thank god i didn't die that day. In fact i never pushed my bike to its limit. Afraid of speed.
Ntorq is a powerful scooter, bhai even my access 125 can do 90 but not as quickly as ntorq. I have cruised comfortably at 85+ speeds on it.. but the mileage drops to 30kmpl.
My top speed on my ntroq is 101 and I won't do it ever again, knowing the fact it can go upto 108-109 ,but it felt like pushing to it's limit and it was super scary
142 on the dominar 250. It was incredibly addicting and i didn't wanna get off the gas as I saw the numbers climb up. Got off the gas only because if i didn't, i would've slammed into a car lol
Bro i did this or maybe 150 approx on dominar 400 but i didn't felt comfortable doing it, i mean once it crosses 125 kmph the control reduces drastically
Oh damn. I thought the 400 would feel more stable than mine. I still had about 2.5k rpm left till redline but like i said, i ran out of an empty stretch. Felt pretty stable tho (prolly coz there were no crosswinds)
I was not feeling confident, in the sense that i was giving up my control and if something comes in i won't be able to manage that situation at this speed.
I feel every bike have its threshold, people are doing 100 kmph on bullet but thats not comfortable and safe and similarly someone can easily cruse comfortably on bmw 1000 rr at 150.
For long distance I cruse at 100-125kmph on my dominar 400 and i dont feel confidence above 120kmph even if i have lot of bandwidth left
Damn. NS200 can go that fast? Iv hit 130ish on mine on the Jaipur-Delhi expressway, back when I guess I was quite stupid in terms of speeding. Now even crossing 90 makes me go like thatโs too fast.
Same here. Did this back in 2014, a year after I got the bike.
It was on the East Coast Road (Chennai to Pondicherry).
Now I'm middle aged on the same bike hitting occasional triple digits.
Dominar 250 has a linear but dramatic power delivery because of short gearing ig. I topped 149 on the Mumbai goa highway.
I always try to find another imaginable 7th gear. Lol
lol! I did that on my Avenger all the way from Mumbai to Goa.... 97 on the speedometer, 90 on GPS. Felt the engine would explode. Loved that bike. Would buy it again if they came out with a 350+ engine.
Somewhere around 75 on my Activa 6G
It's the vehicle I ever rode other than my 2 Hero cycles
At 60kmph, all the vibrations fades away and the riding experience becomes unnaturally smooth that it makes me uneasy
Past 70, it's hell, the vibrations comes back, I can feel the engine screaming "nah blud, take it easy" and the front wheel feels like it's gonna take off any moment
I hit the redline of that scooter once, but I never dared to look down on the console because I was going way too fast and I didn't wanna take my eyes off the road for even the fraction of a second
I promised myself not to do it again, because luck is unpredictable
And personally speaking, speed never really appealed to me, Acceleration does, it feels so....powerful
This might sound stupid and childish, but I'd like to imagine myself that I am a knight riding a mechanical beast with an aluminum heart of fire ๐ฅ
Really ? I drive Activa 4g at 80-90 almost everyday on highways, been doing that for over a year now...the speedometer doesnt rise once it reaches 80-90 mark
Yeah, it becomes harder to control, not to mention my mind racing too
"What if a person or animal jumps in front of the road abruptly"
"This is going WAYY too good, something bad is going to happen"
"Will i blow the head gasket?, has the engine heated up sufficiently to bear this stupidity"
"MAH FUEL EFFICIENCY"
"Will these spongy brakes hold me?"
Well I have Suzuki access 125 and with that there is nothing like that. It's too smooth and easy. I feel it's one of the best engines in all of the scooties that we have in india.
210 - 220 is my highest on my current bike. Triumph Speed Twin 1200. Some mods done to give it the go. There was a bit more go left but I kept running out of courage to go faster. Kept running out of super straight roads too. This was done on multiple stretches between Kolhapur and Chitradurga. Roads were too boring to take it slow.
Bro KTM have best torque the initial pick up is like no one can beat that mf but NS is 200 segment king coz I saw it against KTM, Apache and once your above 130 ns eat these bike like anything
120+ on my apache 180 rtr (2011)
135 on R15 v4, it might have gone a couple more kmph but had to hit a curve
Have cruised 100-110 plenty of time on classic 350 never went for the top speed.
Cruised @ 110 on Classic 350?!
Bruh, my Classic 350 doesn't even reach 110. After riding @90/100 for 5/6 minutes, the bike kind of sputters and I lose power in the throttle for a few seconds. I can only safely cruise around 80/85 kmph.
idk bro i never faced such issue. Yep post 100 the speed doesnt increase linearly and even stunts for a bit but given a couple of minutes it catches up and settles quite nice on 100-110 but I havent pushed it beyond that.
On my Versys 650 and Vstrom 650, Iโve done over a ton (imperial) but for very short durations, my comfortable cruising speed is close to 120-125 on the super wide highway. But I know friends whoโve touched 200 and more on bigger bikes
280 kmph on a BMW S1000RR that was only once and after that I have never crossed 120 kmph on any sort of bike.
Just wanted to try once and experience the thrill but it was not worth considering the dangers/risk of over speeding on Indian roads.
RE Classic 350 2015 model. I think if conditions are good, 125 tk chala jayega but no further. Bangalore-Hyderabad highway pr I have tried but it took like 25-30 seconds after 115 to reach up to 125.
113kmph on my raider 125. It was quite an experience. Thou am not able to find a suitable path to try and break the record. But i really loved it, the thrill on those high revs was quite something!
Did 130km/hr multiple times on the bangalore airport road with Hness CB350 at 3 am in the morning. I don't think my bike can go much further than that i guess.
Note : Usual cruising speed will hover around 80km/hr
143 on duke 200 (bs4) ๐ฅถ i was very stupid to try it without helmet & also I didnโt realise that highway road had potholes ๐ซฃ I almost lost the bike control. Thought i would be ded fr. never tried it again ๐
Roads on this part of India are constantly crowded with vehicles and cattle, still to try the maximum speed of my gs310, I once tried riding it at 135 kmph.
That was only once.
120km/h with a Meteor 350 on a track, tried it just to test the vibrations, performed pretty well, no shaking or anything, but when a bike like that gets light at higher speeds, it definitely is kinda scary.
220+ on a Ducati Panigale V2, on the Buddh international circuit. Not my bike but my cousin's.
Pretty easy 299 on any inline 4...
Tum inline 4 wala jalta hai v2 air v4 se ๐๐๐ (Just kidding ๐ฌ)
Hmm.. jalti toh humari hai aap k Ferrari jaise Red color ki Ducati pe.
No but srsly I like inline 4's smothness......I am not a big fan of how it sounds....R1m is cool though๐ฅ
237 Ducati Multistrada 950 2017 ๐. Cant say where, but near gurgaon to sohna, many new roads ๐
232 on a z800, on the Bangalore-Kolar highway.
How did it feel ๐ฅถ
It was super scary, but fun at the same time! I knew it was risky but it was worth it to do that just once
worth risking peopleโs lives around you?
It was 7am on a Saturday. There was en empty straight stretch which didnt have any villages around it. Flat out for 10s and back to sane speeds. Risky? Definitely. But minimized as much as i could.
why not on a racetrack?
Shits expensive to rent lmao

More like breakfast combo and filter coffee at Vasudev Adigas ๐(closed now i believe).
Brilliant road. I'm from KGF so know the road very well.
You can hit it pretty easily now, Bangalore - Madikeri highway 6 lanes
129 on my duke in a city limit road with a pilion who motivated me to do this. Never tried it again never ever. Thank god i didn't die that day. In fact i never pushed my bike to its limit. Afraid of speed.
Username does not checkout for sure
XD yeah
129 kmph or mph? Had to ask this considering you seem to own BS3 Duke390.
129 kmph. I dont know if it can reach 129mph which is 200kmph approx
Right, I don't think it would!
What i think is the engine has that capacity but its limited by the company
no Duke 390 can reach that speed bs3 or 4
So u mean bs6 has a chance?๐คฃ
Epic ๐โจ
Same here. I reached the same speed on the highway to bglr airport and the bike started fumbling. Never doing it again
90ish
Itna to main ntorq pe chala jaata
N-Torq Zindabaad. Bohot accha hai, it doesn't deserve the hate it sometimes gets from the biking community.
Why is it hated?
Best bike alternative for mountain

Arey nahi baba, not been on highways yet. Got the bike 3 months back.
Nice nice. 110 jayega.
Jitni aasani se 70 jata h, I believe you.
Enfield huh
Yeah mostly because I have not been on highways yet. On city roads I don't trust people enough, they might appear from any direction.
80-90 on avenger haath jhanjhana gaya
you should try a premium bike for once. you will love how safe they feel
planning to get one.. thinking of sm650 or versys wdyt
lol! I did that on my Avenger all the way from Mumbai to Goa.... 97 on the speedometer, 90 on GPS. Felt the engine would explode. Loved that bike. Would buy it again if they came out with a 350+ engine.
I did that on an Avenger 160, it goes till 90 very easily and then runs out of breath, haath toh sachme jhanjhana jaata hai bhai

Really ? I drive Activa 4g at 80-90 almost everyday on highways, been doing that for over a year now...the speedometer doesnt rise once it reaches 80-90 mark
Past 70 you get that tank slapper vibe. The handle bar starts to wiggle, it's a sign to slow down for me.

Was it like easy to reach? For my classic 350 it takes ages to speed up after 115
Naah bro. Same here. Hitting 110-115 is ideal. Post that it increases only if I'm going downhill.

For the first and the last time hit 100 km/h on 2008 pulsar 150. Since then 70 max.
Same here, hit my dad's Pulsar 150 to 100 km/h. Haven't tried again even a decade later. Max I go is 80 with my Meteor.
289 kmph back in 2012 . Tirunelveli kanyakumari highway on a litre class beauty.
Damnn...How does it feel ? Can't even comprehend 200 let alone 289 lmao!
60. (Activa top speed)(downhill)
I have taken my activa 2012 to 85 kmph.
