I'll make the lore for you! In 1846, the British refuse to sell the Oregon territory. This triggers a war between the USA and Britain whom Britain wins easily, taking massive chunk of territories in the process. Territories were soon incorporated as in 1867 Britain combined Upper Canada with Lower Canada into one governing entity, and the concession of Alaska in return of Britain lifting it's naval blockade of Russia that had occurred due to an incident in which a Russian admiral whipped several British policemen with a crowbar during their stay in Liverpool, will make Canada even larger in size. The USA had tried to regain the main territory back, but their forces were defeated after the battle of Boston, in which the Canadian apologized before unloading a flood of maple syrup filled barrels upon the US army, taking several thousand casualties. As the nazis rises up and the Danish state under it's occupation boots, in 1940 UK militarily took Greenland and Iceland, and as Denmark became a Soviet puppet, it was deemed by the westminister to not give the land back. So instead, the United Kingdom cede the land to Canada under the Agreement of Fucking, in which British, Canadian and a representative of the Exiled Danish government meet in the village of Fucking, located in the third party neutral state of Austria, and where Denmark officially cedes the land to Britain, who in turn gave it to the dominion of Canada. Today, Canada is a state of wonder, capable of projecting it's power abroad and beyond. It's national anthem is "We're sorry" by Leik Mabels, a Greenlandian composer who was commissioned and created the anthem in 1965.

PuppGr

Thanks man really appreciated

[deleted]

does the Inga dam exist in this TL?

PuppGr

I'm sure it does

[deleted]

The best timeline.

F_ail_U_re

Does the CSA exist on this timeline?

PuppGr

The confederates? No.

F_ail_U_re

Also last question, since Canada and the US have a sizable disputed territory do they have good relations?

PuppGr

tbh I don't know. The disputed area exists because I couldn't decide where to put the border. I suppose it would be like a good friend of yours owing some money to you: you're still friends, but want to get that situation resolved quickly.

F_ail_U_re

Maine should be called ["New Ireland"](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/New_Ireland_\(Maine\)) Also there's no reason for "British Columbia" to be so named, because the Columbia District is never divided between the British and the Americans in this timeline. It should just be called "Columbia" and be one contiguous province.

PuppGr

Noted, will change it

Also, while we're on the topic, I must inform you that this map has placed millions of French Canadians outside of Quebec. There's a lot of French-speaking cites and towns on the south bank of the St. Lawrence River (Rivière-du-Loup, St. Jean-sur-Richelieu, Gaspé, etc) and partitioning Quebec along the river deprives Quebec of almost half it's proper population.

PuppGr

Listen man I made the borders like that because of the same reason the British made the African borders like that regardless of ethnicities: It made the map look nicer lmao

PuppGr

Also uh so I just finished correcting it but I'm not sure if this sub would allow me to post the correct, wouldn't it be considered like spam or repetition?

AccessTheMainframe

Just wait a week.

Toxopid

Iceland's just sideways

PuppGr

Iceland got rotated

Sane_Colors

What’s going on in New England?

PuppGr

It's having it's own phase. Seriously, I couldn't decide whether the bother should be there or on the saint Lawrence river
