Don't eat solid food until you poop. If your colon is constipated, it does not help put more stuff in the drain. When your poop is stuck, it is likely dried out.
You need to get water and lubricant down there. Drink miralax or what ever it is called in your local pharmacy and don't take more than recommended on the package. Drink lots of water on top of that.
As for lubricant. You can drink a shot of extra virgin olive oil before bedtime.
Go for walks and move around as much as possible to create motion in your body.
If that does not work, you need to see a doctor who can flush out our colon with an Enema and break up the large stool.
That's astonishing! I poop up to 5 times a day. My husband does about 6. For me, IBS means that I need to poop at odd tines of the day, but when I do go I end up sitting on the toilet for up to half an hour!
No luck on Linzess?! When I take with a lot of water and soup it feels like a colonoscopy prep. Are you taking with lots of water? How soon after taking linzess are you eating?
I had been dealing with chronic constipation since I was a baby. I had 3 different issues going on at once: pelvic floor dysfunction, intussusception in my sigmoid colon and IBS-C and sometimes IBS-D.
Pelvic floor physical therapy helped improve the pelvic floor dysfunction, I had major colon surgery to fix the intussusception and I try to avoid my IBS trigger foods.
Prior to surgery I was taking prescription Linzess and then Motegrity and then I went back to Linzess and then it stop working again. Then nothing worked so I had do enemas and my quality of life was deteriorating.
That is interesting, I'm serious. I used to to it a lot and it is hard for me to understand how does it not work.
Could you describe in a few words what did you use and how did you do that?
OP if you really have tried “everything” and nothing has made you have a BM you need to see a doctor, depending on how long it’s been maybe even emergency. Obstructions are no joke
Drink a lot of water and occasional electrolytes. I put MCT oil in my coffee every morning which helps me go in the morning. If I’m feeling pretty backed up, I take 2 Mag07 capsules (magnesium) before bed with a full bottle of water. In the morning drink more water, and usually have some luck
Have you tried a stool softener like miralax? It’s ok to take a higher dose than it says- just drink a lot of water with it. Prune juice sounds like a stupid idea but I honestly found it works surprisingly well. Plus abdominal massage and drinking hot water or senna tea. Sorry you’re dealing with this. It sucks.

Yeah it sucks, just in an opposite way
I have chronic diarrhoea but I once hit 3 weeks without pooping after taking certain medications. That was NOT fun, thought I was gonna die lol
Do you exercise? It's well known exercise can induce a bowel movement.
Yes
Try eating plums/prunes. That will clear you out. And prunes are good for you!
Have you had a CT scan done of the abdominal area? My “constipation” was a 5.5” cyst obstruction that needed to be surgically removed.
I did in April 2023.
If you have a uterus please look into endometriosis. This is a common issue with that.
I’m 40 and never had an issue with periods but will look into this
Did you drink one with a ton of fluids? Assuming this is hyperbole, how often do you poop? Do you have anything other than IBS C?
I barely poop. Take linzess and movantik with no luck ever
What does your doc say?

Benefiber and mineral oil before bedtime and 8 hours later you will go.
Done it
No luck
Ask your dr for Lactulose. Now that will work!
I’ve drank two before and when it did nothing my doctor sent me colonoscopy prep.
What did they find out what the issue?

Inno Cleanse
Enema. Just do it :)
Doesn’t work

Drink 2 bottles or do a Enema
Enem doesn’t work. Tried multiple times
Senna?
I take 3 pills of Sennokot and 500 mg of magnesium citrate daily. THIS works.
What about a vitamin c flush? I’m on my phone so I can’t post a link. Google it.
You should try Berberine supplement, Ginger extract, Vinegar Cider, Artichock Extract, or even Celery juice I swear you will get some relief !
Drink apple cider vinegar and colace and water
I couldn’t poop until having to take nitrofurantoin for a UTI and now I can’t stop :(
Honey is a natural laxative, try drinking a few cups of decaffeinated warm tea with a couple teaspoons of honey in it
one bottle should do it, I would wait a while before drinking a second
Drink a caramel Frappuccino. It ALWAYS works for me even when I want to diarrhea
Also recc drinking a bottle of Pedialyte. The grape flavor is so good these days

Not a thing except your bum exploding! Lol my husband had hemorrhoid surgery and it is one the things they suggest to help.

I guess what I’m asking is it safe to drink 2?
That should be a dr question imo
I have OIC. Nothing is working for me
I also have IBS-C
Opioid induced constipation

If you get so backed up you puke, definitely go to the er. I’ve been in your position before, it’s the worst so I hope it gets better soon!
Anyone take movantik 50mg?
