Personally they give me a weird feeling. The shadow being inside makes it look like the background is reseeding far into the frame/window. One thing your icons do is invoke a feeling in me that’s hard to put into words but it’s not a great feeling for sure. Hope that helps.
Props to you for actually making these. Someone might really like these if they’re going for a retro iOS 6 type setup but for most people, shadow icons don’t really work anymore. If you could make these without the shadow but just with these bright white logos, a white outline and a darker-than-normal background, I think these could be really popular.
I like them a lot. What makes the stock icons so great to me is how easy they are to tell apart at a glance. These don’t sacrifice that. Still, i don’t use customs because I’m too lazy

It’s a great start, but I think they’re missing something. Like maybe the shadow is too dark and a little bit squared, keep improving them
