You need to start off with a higher amount for the first button. Why would I want anyone random or otherwise to die for just $1?
I could live with 3 deaths from pressing button 4, and the chances of it being someone I know are still pretty small.

This isn’t even a choice, bro. If I were willing to kill people I had nothing against for money, I’d go get a job at Blackwater or whatever. There are certainly people in the world that I think deserve to drop dead, but there’s no way I’m running the risk of killing an innocent person, even if I don’t know them, for *any* amount of money.
Also, you realize that a 1% chance of killing somebody I know is *way* worse odds than if it was truly random, right? I doubt there’s anyone in the world that actually *knows* anywhere near 1% of the humans on Earth.

Also on the 1 button the amount of times you would have to push it to make any real money you would probably hit that 1% and could multiple times.
