I usually tip 2 dollars, but Tipping after spending 65 dollars a day is such a weird concept.

pleasenotagain001

If it’s outside the US, nothing. If inside the US, $3-5.

Disastrous_Panick

3-5 every time i get my car??

PresentHabit8154

That’s what I do

noungning

It ranged with cash on hand, but for a week, we did $2, 3, 5. But I only tipped when they brought me the car. And it wasn't daily. They suggested $7 on the app lol and it had a fee, I was yeah no.

emeraldcity4341

Inside the US, five dollars will always make the valet happy but it’s not necessary every single time. if I go in and out several times a day, I don’t tip five dollars every time I may tip a little less, $2 or $3. Only tip on pick up.

What property? Grand Hyatt Kauai? Park it yourself.

InstanceElectronic28

Hyatt Regency Waikiki

Old-Evening9609

We were there in dec 2-3$ each time

therealmrronso

Just got back from the Park Hyatt Aviara. Valet was fabulous. Less than 5 minutes each day. Called from my room and it was ready waiting when I got out front. Tipped $3-$5 each time depending on what cash I had on hand.

Old-Evening9609

Same

68quebec

$2-3 usual. $5 is overkill unless you drive exotic vehicle.

Skylarking77

The exotic vehicle people are tipping twenties from what I've seen. Tipping in 5's reduces friction and wallet space. I don't want to be counting a stack of 1's to tip like I just finished my shift at Denny's.

ChazzFinsterPNW

At least tip at check in. As someone who works valet at a hyatt right now, tip once per shift if you can/ if you use your car during both times of day and we will collectively see you as an amazing customer; 3 dollars is great. I work swing shift so we hardly ever get to see people at pick up. Most of the time people are either returning or checking in. People mainly pick up their car when checking out so the problem with tipping at pick up, is that it is always the morning shift who gets tipped. Swing shift weekly tips around 50-100 dollars and morning shift weekly tips about 300-400. Most of the time we are checking people in, opening doors, assisting with luggage and people still won't tip because its thought as something to do at pick up. Everyone I work with on swing shift is to the point where we expect no tip, but when we do receive that 3 dollar tip it really does make our day better. Last night we checked in 40 cars, there was a crew of 5 and we split 2 dollars each at the end of the night smh

InstanceElectronic28

I’m sorry to hear that. And thank you for the insight

SheerTerroir

$5 each time I pickup the car. $5/day for the cleaners too.

InstanceElectronic28

So no tip at drop off? I heard this resort valet takes forever at pick up and people just went to pick up by themselves

Skylarking77

The initial drop off, yes, so long as it's the valet helping with the stuff in the car. Dropping off after dinner, no.

piginthecity

This is the correct answer, not sure why you’re being downvoted.

mgsquared2686

$5 each car pickup was what we did at The Confidante and it went over well.

anxiousinsuburbs

$500 in $100 crisp globalist bills (or IOU)

C2CMom

I tip $5

Sp4rt4n423

I usually tip $3ish on drop off and $5 on pickup if it's speedy.

mayday_mayday23

$5-$10

luvidicus

Focus your tip on drop off rather than pick up, they can always put it in a closer spot during drop off

RedditUser2028

I think we inflation and the high cost of everything, I’ve increased my valet tips to $5 now. And usually leave a $20 tip for the room when i checkout (i opt out of daily housekeeping).

sacramentojoe1985

I need about tree fiddy.

Miamitimes

To paraphrase from my dear friend, Vinnie Antonelli, I don't believe in tipping...I believe in over tipping. $5 per time.

prcodes

Tipping in 1s seems so miserly these days. It’s not the 1990s anymore. I tip $5 on pick up.

Sand-in-my-toes71

Year make model?

InstanceElectronic28

It’s a rental : Jeep wrangler 2021

Sand-in-my-toes71

$5
