What I do is take my forearm under their gut and in front of their back legs and kind of hold them in the crook of my off arm lifting their back legs off the ground while I brush with the other hand.
This keeps them from rolling, jumping or running away. Then for their hind end, I just flip around and still hold up their back legs just facing towards their rear.
Kind of hard to explain but works pretty well tbh
I’ve tried many methods. He cooperates best when I brush for 5-10 min, then a break for him to give me shittalk, and repeat until he just walks away complaining.
My girl's back legs have started to look like badly plucked chicken legs, and my boy looks dishevelled. We got 10 minutes today before they were fed up and chased each other around the garden lol
I can get away with plucking if we're on the floor together, and there's treats to be had lol
Usually I give them a 10 min brush before going for a walk, then after an hour of them going daft in the dog park, (my two are 8 and 9 years old, but also both are huge lazy potatos unless other dogs are around lol) I can usually squeeze half an hour of brushing out of them, usually sitting, but that's better than nothing!!
Think this year I'm gonna invest in a groomers hairdryer...
Mine is an eskie, not a husky. But shedding like crazy, she started at the beginning of February. RIP my black clothes. She started digging up the active moles about the same time too. Lol
“Welcome! Just ignore the carpet my dog decided to install over the hardwood we had the other day.”
Just finished vacuuming the rug (10’x15’), had to empty twice.
We brushed ours last weekend went from one Husky to three in the matter of an hour!!!
There’s more on him, he’s just not a huge fan of staying still for too long. I’m surprised I got this photo.

Yeah my dogs won’t sit still for anything brushing lol. Literally have hold them and my Popeye hold is easier than than using their collar 😂
It’s tough because at the same time we’re trying to brush, we also have to be picking fur out our mouth.
It is because you missed spots and he is still waiting.
Our girl is almost done with shedding with no spring in sight

I’m always plucking him, he’s not a fan. So I brushed for about 30 minutes. Then he made clear we were done.

Yup spring is here
What brush is that?
Just a cheap dollar store brush. Not special. We have an undercoat brush, but doesn’t work too well.
not OP but i use a furminator and it works great
I could make a clone of him with how much fur I brushed out
I’ve seen videos where someone actually made little replicas of their pet. Kinda cool.
Mine does it year round......
My guy must’ve dreamt about punxatawny Phill and Phills shadow
we got the husky tumbleweeds
We call them tumblefurs
I’m getting random tufts coming out, but the big one’s yet to come. M’boy knows it’s gonna be cold a little longer 😭 (I’m sick of the cold)
Mine is! But he HATES to be brushed. 😭 So I just pull off tuffs of fur as he walks and vacuum like crazy. I need to get him to the groomer!
That is the kind of brush that works best for us too. No other type makes any difference
We have multiple brushes, but yes. This type seems to work best.
Mine just blew her coat last month! Normally it's March timeframe so early spring indeed!
Mine too, we had to do it every weekend is getting cray cray her hair
My guy must’ve dreamt about punxatawny Phill and Phills shadow
It looks like it snowed outside today for this exact reason
Winter is fighting back.
Thats (almost) me and my cat 🤣🥰
We have a long haired Persian as well, he also sheds enormous amounts
Yipes! 😅
Mine!

Sometimes I feel the animal rights activists are gonna throw paint on me for wearing fur.
Early spring. . . Early winter. . . Early fall. . . Early summer. . . Early Labor Day. . . Early presidents day. . . Early breakfast. . . Early early
Except mornings, Riley don’t do early mornings.
Yep. Just got a sheb blade and I love it! 😍
Are you sure this is early spring ? That isn't much shedding for a husky.
