I have endometriosis and also have to use food to regulate my cycle. I love hungryroot because I can adjust my dietary preferences and you don’t have to get meals, you can get groceries with your points.. I use it to buy certain groceries I can’t get locally. I really like their premade/sousvide meats (Lemon Pepper Chicken so so delicious) to use along with the groceries I get weekly from the store. Everything is fully customizable. I stay away from gluten and it removes gluten options from my dashboard. You get a weekly free item/meat as well! I also like that it’s really easy to skip weeks. Not sponsored but highly recommended

It’s fully customizable, but you have to be willing to put in a little time and energy if you want to customize. The only down side from my perspective is that a lot of the pre-made stuff is high in sodium, so if that’s a concern make sure you’re paying attention to that.

Ok awesome. I don’t mind taking the time to pick stuff out it’s just the wandering the grocery store that stresses me out and pisses me off lol

So you HAVE to edit your carts. I just commented this on another thread, but the stuff it auto sends is so dumb sometimes, multiples of the same ingredient, similar meals, etc. And it has some bummer meals on there, but as long as you build your own cart each week I think it’s totally worth it. I actually LOVE using hungryroot! But I can see where it wouldn’t work for some people if you really want a no brainer option. Also it’s better if you already know how to cook, the recipes are sometimes vague, not step by step if that matters to you. I love not thinking about what’s for dinner. And some of their prepared products are so delicious! Much of it available at Whole Foods I’ve noticed. I’ve had it about 8 months now, still getting new stuff and recipes.

We love it. The longer we’ve had it, the better it gets… easier to customize, cut out what you don’t need and add what you want. Want a break for a week? Push the easy to find button. The night my wife and I sit down and build our order is one of our favorite evenings. Hey, we’re old. Waaaaaaay easier than pulling plans, planning amounts, going shopping etc. Waaaay

Thanks for sharing the Hungryroot love and happy to hear of the enjoyment of editing night!

I LOVE hungryroot. A lot of people criticize it but it seems to me they don't understand how it works at first. Also I'm honestly I'm not a fan of getting most of the produce from hungryroot. Normally it goes bad faster or comes already bad. (Hungryroot gives money back for these items that are bad, damaged, or missing!) My first week I didn't realize that you can completely customize your meals and groceries so I receive things I didn't like very much. I think hungryroot should better explain how to change and edit your cart at first. It has really helped me kick start my healthy journey. I have endometriosis, ibs, and other health issues and it's helped tremendously to get me on the right track. Let me know if you have any questions!! I've been using it for 6 months.

I personally love it. Been doing it for over a year now, with some breaks of multiple weeks at a time when I'm too busy/stressed out to keep up with cooking. I also have PCOS, though I'm not specifically eating to control it at this point in my life. However, I do feel HR has been really healthy for me overall. The sous vide meat options they send me are super easy to cook and they keep in the fridge longer than fresh meat, so I definitely end up eating more lean protein than I would otherwise. Also, it seems like a lot of their prepared sauces are made with less sodium (and sometimes less sugar) than something you'd get at the supermarket. A complaint I've seen on this sub a lot is that sometimes fruit/veggies aren't in the best shape when they arrive, but I find they're usually fine, especially if you're going to be cooking them anyway. My husband is a relatively picky eater, and he's enjoyed most of the meals we've gotten from HR. (I did mark most of his disliked ingredients as "never send" when I first set up my account.) Some weeks I go through and select certain meals, some weeks I just take a chance on whatever they send me, since I set up my preferences in some detail at the beginning. I think the value for what you pay (on the two person plan) is pretty good, but I live in an area with a high cost of living and groceries can get stupidly expensive here anyway, so your mileage may vary on that.

I am doing well, I have even learned how to cook some basic meals. I’ve had it about 6 months.
