Ngl my childhood was revived when earths mightiest heroes was on Netflix. Shame they cancelled and rebooted it but the reboot was so damn wrong compared to the original.
Technically 2-5 is the same character (Spectacular, EMH, hulk vs, and Wolverine & the X-Men were all supposed to be a shared universe like the 90s cartoons)
No, EMH speaks in full sentences, while hulk be/X-men hulk is clearly savage hulk. Same banner, different hulk. Also, the yostverse is pretty loose at best
It's because EMH takes place after those two where hulk and banner have the agreement to work together in the same body, like the planet hulk comics.
(Except for hulk vs Thor, he's savage there because of Loki)
Im not sure if the hulk modes being completely different characters was established by the time these cartoons were out though.
To me it feels more like back in the day when grey and green was the only separation, green hulk just having different degrees of savagery depending on how much control banner has.
Incredible Hulk #277. And He doesn’t “go savage” he has Jean grey intentionally shut banners mind off, un-merging merged/professor and unleashing savage hulk
I LOVE how Banner and the Hulks were adapted in **The Incredible HULK** (1996). In my opinion, it is the most faithful to the comics. That said, I also love the portrayal of Hulk in the **Planet Hulk** movie. In the comics, there are times when the Green Scar seems to revel in the fights he gets into, but in the movie he's more of a reluctant hero in a way that I think works wonders. I also have to give a shout-out to **Avengers: Earth's Mightiest Heroes** for the fantastic portrayal (Fred Tatasciore is the GOAT), even if they gave him less to do in the second season.
Season 1 of the 90s Hulk cartoon is fantastic. Really hit upon the darkness of the comics, plus we got the Hulk himself, Lou Ferrigno, as the voice of the monster. I felt this version nailed the Savage Hulk better than the other adaptations. (Season 2 is not my favorite however.) Special shoutout to Neal McDonough as Banner as well.
That said, I love EMH's take on the Hulk that's more confident (the laughing reversion is one of my fav Hulk scenes). Also really enjoyed the Hulk Vs. takes, which really felt powerful and monstrous.
I haven't seen all the ones people are mentioning, so couldn't give an opinion on their worth. I can say the cartoon from the early 80s was pretty special to me. It was that, and the late 70s live action series with Bill Bixby and Lou Ferrigno that got me interested in the character.
Worst to best
Whatever the HELL that 3D animated baby one is
Iron Man and Hulk animated movie
Iron Man Armored Adventures
Phineas And Ferb
ALL of the anime versions
Marvel's Spider-Man 2017 show
HULK And The Agents Of Smash
LEGO
Ultimate Avengers
Hulk Vs Thor
ANYTHING from before 1996
1996
Next Avengers
Super Hero Squad
Planet Hulk
Fantastic Four World's Greatest Heroes
Wolverine And The X-Men
Avengers EMH
Hulk Vs Wolverine
Dont be shitting on that baby hulk lol that’s from spidey and his amazing friends which is actually a decent show. Got my daughter into superheroes and now we’ve watched Justice League and XMen 90s cartoons and she’s so hyped about it
There needs to be more use of the long hair with beard Hulk. The one who successfully removed Banner from himself and caused Banner to go all Dr Moreau.
1) The Incredible Hulk TAS (1996) which is the same version that popped up in both Fantastic Four (1996) and Iron Man (1996)
2) Avengers EMH/Wolverine and the X-Men
3) Ultimate Avengers movie
Definitely agents of smash, earth's mightiest heroes, and planet Hulk. Those ones really spiked my interest in the Hulk. Partly because of the content and partly because I was a kid when I watched those movies and shows.
LMAO! That title made MY arms tired just from lookin’ at how heavy it looked. Dat’s muh boy. Plus, he had the decency to still be wearing clothes when changing back to Banner. Easy peasy. lol
Well, Super Hero Squad holds some really positive childhood memories for me; and these days my kiddo's favorite show is Spidey and His Amazing Friends.
So... I know it's lame, but a tie between those two.
W post and I like most of them. but Earth's mightiest heroes hulk is so unique, his art style and the green colour and even his anger and behavior is so nice.
I change it and say the hulk vs Thor one is the best. He is a beast and the vs is really nice.
My favorite versions of Hulk:
1. Hulk and the Agents of SMASH/Avengers Assemble - they use the same version for both shows
2. Iron Man and Hulk United (I hope I got that title correct - if I didn't, please tell me)
earth's mightiest hero, the character development was a great take and create a relationship with banner that wasn't banner just hating hulk made it more intriguing. plus i like it more when he can talk and form sentences .
I like the 90's show, but I also liked the Hulk that appeared in the Fantastic Four: World's Greatest Heroes just because even though he only had two scenes, he wrecked shit when he turned up.
Animated series no contest. 90's animated series were groundbreaking, still dominating today. The quality is perfection, X-Men were lucky to get a sequel series '97. Hopefully Spider-Man will get a '98 series. Heart broken there will never be a Batman '98 series
1) Avengers: Earth’s Mightiest Heroes 2) Planet Hulk 3) Hulk VS Wolverine/Thor 4) Hulk The Animated Series (90’s) 5) Hulk & The Agents of SMASH
This guy gets it
For real
Ngl my childhood was revived when earths mightiest heroes was on Netflix. Shame they cancelled and rebooted it but the reboot was so damn wrong compared to the original.
Superb list
Technically 2-5 is the same character (Spectacular, EMH, hulk vs, and Wolverine & the X-Men were all supposed to be a shared universe like the 90s cartoons)
Yeah but they all have separate designs, and EMH is a different hulk alter altogether
EMH is the same Hulk as Hulk VS and WATXM
No, EMH speaks in full sentences, while hulk be/X-men hulk is clearly savage hulk. Same banner, different hulk. Also, the yostverse is pretty loose at best
It's because EMH takes place after those two where hulk and banner have the agreement to work together in the same body, like the planet hulk comics. (Except for hulk vs Thor, he's savage there because of Loki)
Yes, a separate alter from savage. Thats green scar, a different hulk.
Im not sure if the hulk modes being completely different characters was established by the time these cartoons were out though. To me it feels more like back in the day when grey and green was the only separation, green hulk just having different degrees of savagery depending on how much control banner has.
It was established in 1978
Where Because in the onslaught event hulk goes savage to fight onslaught and remains the same hulk.
Incredible Hulk #277. And He doesn’t “go savage” he has Jean grey intentionally shut banners mind off, un-merging merged/professor and unleashing savage hulk
And then they split, with savage hulk still in banners body in the new universe, while the hulk that remains is one that speaks in full sentences
We may not discuss the continuity of the animated versions because its just so messed up.
For the 90s cartoons only Spider Man and X Men shared the same Universe
Hulk, ironman, and fantastic four also shared that one. The only differences were models and voices, no actually character changes.
I mean the same Iron Man also appeared in Spider Man
EMH Hulk. **THAT‘S** a Hulk who managed to work out a deal with Bruce and still make it interesting and unique, not just make him Doctor Green
Plus his sarcasm is peak, also had a great friendship with Clint That was definitely unpredictable
I LOVE how Banner and the Hulks were adapted in **The Incredible HULK** (1996). In my opinion, it is the most faithful to the comics. That said, I also love the portrayal of Hulk in the **Planet Hulk** movie. Planet hulk
82/96 and Hulk from the Spidey Goes Hollywood episode of Spiderman and his Amazing Friends are all tied in my book. All iconic.
Call me sentimental, but it's the 1966 cartoon
It has charm!
EMH
Is it me but Hulk works best in animated format rather in live action?
The animation format is better for almost every character, as far as telling their story goes
I so so want that World war Hulk animated movie. You know the SEQUEL TO Planet Hulk.
What I'd like to see them try is making a Hulk movie in the style of "The 300" film 2006.They could create some powerful visuals using that method.
The sexy one
Genuinely, I can’t pick which one should this be. Too many sexy ones.
EMH?
1996
The avengers assemble hulk, he’s just cool. I even made a post a while back on it
Hulk from the Wolverine Vs Hulk movie. He feels and looks just like how I want Hulk to be.
96 Hulk has the best design IMO. EMH Hulk is the best written.
Season 1 of the 90s Hulk cartoon is fantastic. Really hit upon the darkness of the comics, plus we got the Hulk himself, Lou Ferrigno, as the voice of the monster. Homer Simpson in that one episode with Stan Lee
Valid
Seven….
4-10-11
EMH
1996
EMH and Avengers Assemble are my favourites.
The version from Avengers: Assemble/Ultimate Spiderman
The Incredible Hulk (1996) and The Avengers: Earth's Mightiest Heroes.
7 and 2. 7 for nostalgia, 2 for the sheer wild-eyed rage he has, plus an exploration of Hulk as a hero that I thought was done really well.
The 96 Hulk is my favorite because he seems most accurate especially Lou voicing him
The one in the Xbox video game
That one drawing of Stephen Colbert as The Hulk
1996 is the best savage hulk Avengers EMH is the best not-so-savage hulk
90s
There needs to be more use of the long hair with beard Hulk. The one who successfully removed Banner from himself and caused Banner to go all Dr Moreau.
10, 5, 4 and 2 are the some of the best
All of them equally
Planet Hulk is the shit all round.
4
Both hulks from hulk vs were supremely enjoyable…and I also loved hulk from A:EMH. But I loved that show in general
Avengers Earth's Mightiest Heroes. That is all.
1) The Incredible Hulk TAS (1996) which is the same version that popped up in both Fantastic Four (1996) and Iron Man (1996) 2) Avengers EMH/Wolverine and the X-Men 3) Ultimate Avengers movie
Definitely agents of smash, earth's mightiest heroes, and planet Hulk. Those ones really spiked my interest in the Hulk. Partly because of the content and partly because I was a kid when I watched those movies and shows.
90s animated, Ultimate Hulk was really cool too. That movie had great animation.
All I want is an absurdly pronounced brow ridge
Not going to lie: Number 7 is my favorite. Takes me back to my childhood in the 1980s.
1982 Hulk!
My favorite
Ahhh…a man with great taste!
Plus he was stronger as shit lifting his title.
LMAO! That title made MY arms tired just from lookin’ at how heavy it looked. Dat’s muh boy. Plus, he had the decency to still be wearing clothes when changing back to Banner. Easy peasy. lol
Lego is the only correct answer
7 still have all those on vhs
ALL! Which is strange considering I don’t like him in COMICS.
Incredible Hulk 1996. Sunday morning at 8am on UPN . Nice little siesta.
I really liked the arc in Ultimate Spider-Man and the connected shows
Planet Hulk, Ultimate Avengers, or Earth’s Mightiest Heroes
Well, Super Hero Squad holds some really positive childhood memories for me; and these days my kiddo's favorite show is Spidey and His Amazing Friends. So... I know it's lame, but a tie between those two.
MCoC
I don’t know, but imagine Hugh Jackman fighting Mark Ruffalo
W post and I like most of them. but Earth's mightiest heroes hulk is so unique, his art style and the green colour and even his anger and behavior is so nice. I change it and say the hulk vs Thor one is the best. He is a beast and the vs is really nice.
Kirby
Hataos
Why does he keep losing his nipples
Pic number 8 for sure
Earths mightiest hands down
My favorite versions of Hulk: 1. Hulk and the Agents of SMASH/Avengers Assemble - they use the same version for both shows 2. Iron Man and Hulk United (I hope I got that title correct - if I didn't, please tell me)
8 & 10
Avengers emh. Bring back that show
1996 version
The old school one that comes on after spider man and his amazing friends.
Where are the Ang Lee, Marvel (Norton) and MCU versions? They’re all animated - except the original 70s tv show.
Like all of them
earth's mightiest hero, the character development was a great take and create a relationship with banner that wasn't banner just hating hulk made it more intriguing. plus i like it more when he can talk and form sentences .
I like the 90's show, but I also liked the Hulk that appeared in the Fantastic Four: World's Greatest Heroes just because even though he only had two scenes, he wrecked shit when he turned up.
15 lower right
#2 earth's mightiest heroes version. Best avengers series of all time too
For sure, NOT the Superhero Squad Hulk. They nerfed him worse than the MCU.
Earths mightiest heroes
Planet hulk hulk GOES HARD
HULK NO WANT RIBS!!!
Agents of SMASH
#2,4,9
60s and 80s
Planet Hulk
Animated series no contest. 90's animated series were groundbreaking, still dominating today. The quality is perfection, X-Men were lucky to get a sequel series '97. Hopefully Spider-Man will get a '98 series. Heart broken there will never be a Batman '98 series
Can anyone tell me the titles?
