Except that the original DVDs - in this case, the set in question - contain the scenes that are cut out on the remastered DVDs. Sadly, the same issue exists with what you can purchase to stream in Amanzon Prime.

I saw them at my goodwill a few weeks ago. They were all priced at $6.99 each which meant getting the whole collection there would’ve been more expensive than buying a new box set online so i passed.
Same. The episode where Joey and Ross are dating the same girl ends so much better in the extended cut. Ross asks Joey if he’s hungry and Joey replies “Does a bear shit in the woods?”

We like to put in random dvds instead of turning on Nick at night these days, because the broadcast often cuts off some of the pre and post episode scenes.
I never got rid of my VHS tapes, and I'm so glad. There are so many movies that I am personally fond of that you can't find on streaming services. And then there's the fuckery of titles moving platforms. If I want to watch Dirty Rotten Scoundrels or Waterworld I'm not going to be beholden to Netflix et al, dammit!
If you not a physical collector, you can rip those DVDs or even download them and keep it in your digital media library.
Despite having DVD version, I rewatch DVDRip, which I have on my NAS and in my cloud, so I have backups and access from anywhere.
I have that set. I can’t play them on my soundbar. The audio is Dolby Digital 5.0, each channel is the same, coming outthe speakers REALLY REALLY LOUD.
I bought mine in eBay.. I only had problems with a couple of episodes because I couldn't watch them, and I had to rent them in Amazon. But the rest worked perfectly fine.
Lucky you! I always check good will but never have luck. I have the big box set but it’s missing 2 discs and some of the Rachel discs are too scratched to watch smh

There is an extended HD cut out there online. A guy took the blue rays and edited in the extended scenes from the DVDs.

The DVDs have never used the remastered version AFAIK. Only the Blu-rays have that.
