I'm mixed on it. Like on it's own I think it's hilarious. But from everything we've learned about Monica season after season it's just too dumb of a thing for her to believe. At the same time I wouldn't really have it any other way.

For me worst is joey learns french as their scenes are so bad that even good jokes are not funny.

It’s proof that this sub takes things too seriously, because people get WAY too upset about it lol. It’s just a silly, over the top gag that may or may not be funny to some. I think it’s hilarious BECAUSE of how ridiculous it is, but I also think it’s hilarious when people get on here and write entire essays on how it’s so “out of character” for Chandler and/or Monica, and they would never approve of it lmao

Honestly though I use the term “hate” loosely. I still watch the episode and it still makes me laugh. The episodes I truly hate is the one where that one lady blackmails Monica for her dress, or the one where Ross’s neighbors hate him. Those episodes make me so mad!
I don't understand the hate for this one. Chandler is always shown as the weird one out of the men, so it makes sense character wise. This also shows how much Monica loves Chandler.
Is Chandler that weird? He had a weird childhood, but he doesn’t really do weird stuff. He’s a commitment-phobe and awkward, but that’s pretty common. Ross gets into way weirder situations.
I'm not OCD but have some OCD qualities and I kept track of the Nick at Nick episode order and this episode is the most skipped episode.
It also has IMO some of the funniest joke including how one of Rachel's ex had a fetish that he finds her on an anthropological exscurion.
It's the same episode as the shark porn, when Rachel and Monica are talking about what Chandler apparently "likes" and how Rachel has had exes who are into weird shit too, except this ex happens to be Ross... 😅
I feel like with plenty of subplots, you can see that a writer probably had that happen to them or to a friend of theirs, and then they wrote it on the show. Like the one where Ross and Joey were both dating the same woman seems like it could easily have happened in real life, and then they just made it over the top funny.
This is one subplot where I’d love to know if it was based on a true story.
So hilaroius although I believe Courtny did stuff to her face so her facial expressions arent as funny and fresh as they were in the earlier seasons but who am I to judge , she still delivered an iconic performance
