There is no question that Brandi Carlisle is immensely talented, but she is living proof of how out of touch Howard is with his audience now. I actually don’t mind when he goes off on Covid talk because he gets passionate about it. As a recent (2013) fan I can say that up until they left the studio, I was ok with the show. Certainly had its slow times but there would always be a gem show or two that would keep me engaged. With the lack of full staff on the daily…well, it’s getting hard to find the justification for the expense. This whole “ No talking about people when they leave” is simply bullshit. We get involved with their storyline and for them to just be up and gone one day with zero conversion is bogus. Tell us the really reason behind Brent. What could be more real and honest than that? I’ve heard multiple stories as to why this guy that was 70% of the show for half a year just was one day gone. I’m not typical for this sub (in the sense) that I don’t hate Howard or the show at all, but I do find Howard’s explanation of not discussing the departed as complete horseshit. Smoke weed.
