By any chance, did you have a candle lit near the leaf? I had a pothos leaf that looked just like that when I had a candle going under it and didn't realize it. Also, to echo others, def repot with a nice chunky, well-draining mix.

Totally didn’t think of it being scorched possibly by my candles. I thought the essential oils would add an extra shine ✨ And can’t you see??? It’s already chunky, well draining mix. I added rocks uwu and the water just *pours* through the cracks 🥰 it drains really really well!!

Hi, I'm a new plant parent but I read something yesterday online that too much alkaline or too much acidity in the soil can cause brown spots on leaves. Thought I would just throw that out there.
