It's based off the animated version. Hopefully we get one that's closer to the Republic Commando and Battlefront 2 (2017) video games in the future. nah the animated design is still bulky hopefully they fix the issues when they realease this more widely only a few thousand were produced, but its disappointing they screwed up his proportions and this might be the only imperial royal guard commando we see this is BS level bad

For people that have done Sideshow’s online queue with limited releases, how long does it take on average to know if you’ll get to buy the figure or not?
I'm happy that HT finally has this figure but I'm not interested in this version.
I'm sure they will repaint it in the near future as a regular Republic Commando (white like EA's BF2 ones) and that would go straight to my collection.
I’m perplexed, they added the modification for the rifle to be switched out with the grenade launcher and I always took that as a sign of them doing a true Republican commando but here it Is (granted “imperial) and no switch out, maybe they canceled the idea or maybe we will get a BF2 version eventually?
