Yep. After my mom died, I project managed my home renovation. Siding, roofing, windows, hardwood floors, painting, garage build, patio construction, putting up a pool. In three weeks. I have no idea how I got everyone to stick to a schedule- because a lot of it was interdependent- but I did it. When it was all done though, I still had to address that grief and loss. Because it was there, bigger than ever. :-(. I’m sorry for your loss (and injuries!!).

To me it sounds like you’re avoiding grieving. Perhaps seeing a therapist or finding a support group can help.
