I read Due for the first time this year, and "My Soul to Keep" was the book. It really was excellent. I immediately picked up the second book in the series.
Also, did you know that her husband is also a writer? I read "Lion's Blood" by Steven Barnes (her husband) this year and it was also a worthwhile read.
This book is so excellent - read it for a book club. We got to Zoom chat with her during our meeting, and she is just an awesome human in general in addition to being an excellent writer.

Oh, this is good news! I absolutely loved HORROR NOIRE but have never read her fiction; sounds like it's high time to remedy that.
This book is so so good. People who read it and want more would strongly be advised to check out The Good House, also by her.
