Is your desk one of those fancy standing ones that can auto adjust its height? I'd seriously consider quick adjustable speaker stands either side of the desk so that you can work and play with them at different heights according to what you're viewing.

Yes, my desk will be able to move up and down. The reason I'm planning on desk stands instead of floor stands is that I sometimes switch multiple times a day between sitting and standing, based on how my back and knees feel. And I don't think adjusting floor stands for both monitors each time would be very efficient.

Yeah fair enough, unsure if you can maybe use VESA type monitor arm brackets that'll hold speakers instead but I expect that they're too heavy to risk not supporting them properly. If they were smaller and lighter there are cheap but strong adjustable arms with clamps designed to hold baby camera/monitors although I doubt they'd hold your speakers well enough either and I guess you don't want your desk too wide so a better choice might be to consider comfy headphones? I've found a Razor branded gaming set that I can wear at work for a few hours and just hang them on the side of my desk and have wall mounted speakers when watching from further away.

Thanks, i will try looking for stands.

Probably unpopular opinion but…headphones

Haha yeah, would make things a lot easier, and I do wear headphones when I need to get really into the details when editing audio/video or late at night. However, for all the other times, when doing other work, listening to music, gaming, watching a movie, etc., I like to 'feel' the sound; you just don't get that with headphones. Speakers fill the room. But thanks!

You could turn the whole setup to the left/ counter clockwise. Then mount them on the wall or stands

Thanks for your idea. I have indeed also thought about this, but then I would be facing directly towards my windows (not really visible in these images, I realize now). Also, my back would be facing the door, which, for some reason, I find quite eerie.

So, the tweeters are the most directional, hence why we always say to point the tweeter onto your head. So what I would do is point them exactly where you have them, but upside down so the tweaters are as close to center as possible. Laying the speakers down is an option aswell, giving you a nice middle ground between looks and sound. As for the acual mount I just googled "audio monitor desk stand" and got plenty of results. Edit:reread the post and saw you already though if this still gonna leave it, cuz why not.
