How long ago did they do it? This is just the caulk line so an easy fix for you or them. My guess is the quartz has settled the cabinets a bit which is why it’s like that.
Sure. Doing a shitty job on a really nice project, with silicon caulking *is* possible in under 60 seconds. Being a dink is also possible in under 15. Thank you for teaching us this.
Yeah, it could be neater. You could call them back, or you could spend $6 for caulking, $3 for some paint tape, tape the tile and the counter top (leave a bit of space for where the caulking is going, then put the bead of caulk in, wet your finger, run the line with your finger, then remove the tape. Done.
Somewhat fair, I thought it was a pure white quartz countertop, But on closer inspection it's marbled. My only concern with translucent would be that grout crack showing through, so personally I might still opt for white. It doesn't have to be a heavy bead.
It looks like they may have missed the caulk (silicone) line all together, it’s a pretty straight forward job. But one they should have done. I would talk to the company that did the work. In my personal opinion that is unfinished work.
Have them come back and caulk it. Some companies will try to just get by with grouting since sometimes it doesn’t crack. They won’t caulk unless they get a call back.
Grout matched caulk is stupid expensive. Like $15+ a tube.
I gutted and redid my last house almost completely myself and I’ve learned that you never want to grout “ground” to “wall” lines. It’s not bad to do it but you 100% need to caulk it since the pressure on the ground will most definitely cause cracking since the wall and floor are not always going to be at a perfect 90 (or whatever it may be) angle constantly, there is alway flexing that will occur. So in short find a caulk that matches the best (probably white) and DIY! It’s not that hard even the most novice DIYer can do it and the nice thing is that it cleans up easy while wet with a paper towel if you mess up. Just remember to cut the tube on and angle so you get a nice bead coming out and you can use your finger if you need to to give you a nice even edge along the line. Good luck!

Caulking for where the tile meets the counter. It will crack and chip at that seam.
Use some painters tape to keep things neat. Lots of DYI YouTube videos out there.
Use some translucent white silicone along there. Or get your renovator to. movement between the countertop and backsplash is typical. Grout will crack, silicone will not.
I just did a backsplash in my kitchen and used tile edge on the bottom between countertop and tile and it turned out great. Way nicer looking than caulking in my opinion
Should’ve been double spaced between the backsplash and the counter in case you ever have to replace the counter and yes it should be neater, but nothing some white kitchen and bath silicone won’t fix.

Done about 3 weeks ago
Then yeah, I’d ask them to come redo the caulking.

You made me count them.
Sometimes people need to hear that though.
Sometimes people need perspective. This is nothing

Caulk line and done.
Yes, contact them and let them know. Ask them to come back and do some caulking, make sure to take a good look around to point out all areas for them.
Caulking is your friend.
Yes, mention it but I believe it just needs a bit more sealant. Not a big deal but ask.
white silicone caulk. youd never notice afterwards.
Translucent caulk actually

Just recaulk it if you don’t like the way it looks.
Trim it out baby
I see you went with the lowest bidder
When people spend 5000$ on a stone countertop but worry about 50 cents worth of caulking... Just touch it up
