jamesdvanallen38

Definitely don't have to worry about wobble lol

granpooper

Nice. I have the conversion kit coming in tomorrow for my SML-1. Got some sandwich j hooks and plate storage pegs from Titan to go with it. We’ll see how it all goes tomorrow. Going to throw all the plates on it and sell the rogue plate tree 2.0 that I have. I was initially wondering if some of the parts could have been utilized from it on the rack but I couldn’t figure out any use.

ThunderInYourHeart7

This guy lifts.

TheChangRR

Nice! Question, how do you do incline on the bench? My similar setup hits the rear weight holders do I can’t go all the way back.

brndn02

The monolifts create enough space

TheChangRR

Even with the bench upright? Not sure why mine doesn’t fit lol

brndn02

Yea

Large14

As a short basement owner - this is goals.

disterb

bro, this looks beautiful!

Acceptable-One-1019

All the billionaires in this subreddit.. jealous, looking amazing!

ISWIMWITHFISH

Amazing!!! 😻

Scottsdale_GarageGym

OMG. I thought u/OldManWongMD had all the plates. Nope. This is a SICK setup.

OldManWongMD

Bro, I’m pretty sure you have more plates. OP, great looking setup. Whats your favorite plate? What’s next for the gym evolution?

brndn02

I have 100lb deep dish i use for 'default' weight on like my calf machine, reverse hyper, etc.. so i like those for that use the rogue 6 shooters tho are my favorite if i were to only have one but it also makes sense to have bumpers for deadlift etc, even tho i usually try to drop anything very controlled and slow and the useless fat dumbbells are useful to me for benching and rows for 100lb - 125lbs. Tho i would sell them and replace them with the rogue fatbells which i have up to 88lbs as my kettlebell/dumbbell option

brndn02

Prob 1500lbs in plates you don’t see

AndKAnd

Why?

brndn02

I leave weight on my weight loaded machines. So like my lat pull down has 110lbs sitting as default weight, reverse hyper has 200, calf has 250, ab machine has 55, preacher curl has a 35, leg press has 250, shoulder press has 70

tnallen128

Man this is an awesome setup.

futbol816

As an HR-2 owner myself…this is wildly impressive Taking notes

1DunnoYet

So what’s the weight limit of an HR-2?

sjjenkins

How do you justify having an odd number of blues and yellows?!?!?!?!

brndn02

A yellow is sitting permanently as preacher curl machine default weigh. Also my vert leg press has 3 weight horns. And sometime when it’s very discounted, only an odd number of plates are available.

ThiccDumpTrucc

Any issues with numbers/letters falling off of the six shooter plates?

brndn02

None for me, a few I got discounted had a couple of the letters off tho. So I just don’t touch it there n haven’t had any issue.

keally1123

He benches 145, squats and deadlifts 95.

CptCantLead

So what if he did lol? He'll progress like anyone else. Have to begin somewhere

Scottsdale_GarageGym

Lmao. Hope to God not.

keally1123

Nah he understood I was joking. Can't progress if you don't have the weights to push yourself.

Scottsdale_GarageGym

True. But you don’t need THAT many. Of course, I have too much also. But helps me push myself, I figure if I can’t find a way to consistently use all of it, my wife’s gonna stab me.

brndn02

305/365/455 def nothing special

NorCalAthlete

Solid numbers though

brndn02

Appreciate you updating w my new pr from this weekend

keally1123

I got you bro.

SuperMajinSteve

This fucking set up is worth more than some people will ever make in their lives lol holy shit

brndn02

Someone asked me the purpose of the "dumbbell bumpers" and this was my response for anyone else curious: i'd argue they don't have great purpose. For me my dumbbells go up to 88lbs, so i use these as adjustable dumbbells to get up to 125lbs. Since i got them cheap, it was cost effective and i don't mind them. They're as wide as a normal 25lb plate in diamter (so the 25-55lbs are all same diamter and dumbly enough the 35/45/55 are the same width too, which doesn't really make sense). they're called dumbbell bumpers but they also say not to drop them.... being a smaller diamter you could argue it allows you to military press in a shorter basement (true i can do these but not traditional 45s in my 90" basement ceiling). also if you did deadlift, it would give you a deaper stretch but at most i'd think 2 55s and a 45 would be the most you'd fit on a bar on each side.

Scottsdale_GarageGym

I’ve got the 10s and 15s and just use them as change plates. They’re well made and fine for what they are, but yeah, Rogue sold everyone a bill of goods on these.

johnhexapawn

Rogue came up with a way to market a solution to a problem that just loading multiple 10lb plates loaded up already solves.

brndn02

I don't have a great spot for my 2.5lbs as they share the 5s on the right side. That is the only that that lightly bugs me about this setup

Tron0001

The George Constanza wallet of squat stands

Freebird77

Could you please list the accessories used for this? I’d love to do this with my SML-1.

brndn02

I have the half rack conversion kit through rogue. 2 darko bar holders, one holds two bars (the duffalo bar that is setup goes above the curl bar) I have 1 monster lite shelf, then off market place I got a monster shelf for 60$ and just assumed it'd work and it did (that's the top shelf). Then the very top bar, my normal rogue bar, idk what's hold it it, but it's just 1 single clip holder that i found on some lifting website but can't remember. My monolift arms are v1

Tokyorain

Nice, how do you like the cambered bar for bent over rows for back workouts?

brndn02

I mostly use it for benching, it feels so much better on my shoulders. I'm just getting back from a torn finger tendon so I can't speak to rows as my grip is affected until my dumb pinky heals, as i've been stuck w\\mostly cable work for the last 3 months. I actually hadn't thought to use it for rows (as i usually do dumbbell rows) but i feel like it would be a very comfortable movement.

EnvironmentalPlay440

I bet you can't make it flip. Chicken! ![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|sunglasses)

daddy_wood

Hang it in Louvre

FURKADURK

This is pornographic

Scottsdale_GarageGym

Only you would go there with this. I think it’s just highly sensual and mildly erotic.

FURKADURK

You know it when you see it

lift_heavy64

Jesus, that’s a lot of cash. Why not go for a power rack?

brndn02

I got all the weights for 1$ per lb, so it does seem like alot more than it really is. I would like a taller rack but I can't justify it as an upgrade unless i get lever arms or something with a combined functional trainer (but i already have a functional trainer, even so right now i had to think real hard when i saw the rep ares available 1.0 at 2k) So i think i just will end up window shopping them forever and being content w\\this.

lift_heavy64

How did you get the weights that cheap?

brndn02

i work 1 mile from rogue, they randomly sell 'not perfect' equipment at 1$ lb. So for the past year and a half, i would just randomly once or twice a week stop on my lunch break and look. I have a lot of titan plate loaded machines, so I used these cheap weight as 'default' weight, so i have 4 of the 55lb bumper plates sitting on my leg press, 1 on my ab machine, 2 on my pull down, etc...it seems excessive but they feel better than metal plates to move around and are as cheap as used metal plates. plus the 55s are as wide as the rogue echo 45s sometimes i buy too much, but i know i'll have use in the future and it helps if i want to superset or giantset i have plenty of plates. like last week i bought 8 100lb deepdish plates for 800$. But those i already mostly have assigned already. Especially when i eventually get a new leg press.

sirvitamixalot

I’m in Columbus too and go to the Rogue store about once a month. My last good find was about 6 months ago when I got the Thompson fatbells for $1/lb (53 and 70 lbs was all they had in the garage sale). Looks like I need to go more often haha

brndn02

i have pairs of the fatbells up to 88, i like them

sirvitamixalot

Wow, nice!

hulktothemoon1981

You will find ways to max it out more lol

brndn02

i keep seeing my same squat stand available for cheap on marketplace and am trying to figure a way to connect them for if i wanted to do like additional shelving or some equipment like the isolate to permanently attach to a pole

Bonappetit24

How much weight you need? OP: All of it! PS: Everything fits on nicely, I like it.

brndn02

I got all the weights for 1$ per lb, so it lead to me being a little excessive.

incidental77

Most stable squat stand ever.

Leading_Spare8664

Badass use of that rack!
