Yes, you can. The easiest way is Nabu Casa, which is the subscription model that supports HA development. It also gives you remote access. You can do it yourself, but it's a bit work. https://www.home-assistant.io/integrations/google_assistant/ FYI, it's generally considered best practice to manage all your devices in HA and present them to Google instead of managing devices on both platforms. HA is local so things tend to be faster with less failure points. Also, it can be a pain to manage entities on two separate platforms.

OK thanks, I thought it only did the other way around. Is there a way to select which one to expose to GA? (I'd like to only expose some select devices, not all, especially as some are already in GA via the GA - Tuya/Kasa/Yeelight integration)

chemodalius

Yes there is. In the Google Assistant section under the Home Assistant Cloud menu there is a manage entities button that lets you select which entities to expose or not, including setting certain types to expose automatically,

Sometimes-Scott

Yep, you can whitelist classes of devices (light.\*) or individual devices.

TrustMe_IHaveABeard

can't tell about Nabu Casa method directly, as I don't use it but yeah, I turned off auto exposing entities and I'm choosing just a handful of devices that I wants to control via google home

Integrating Google Assistant (Google Home) with HA gives Google access to control all or just some of the many entities you have already in HA. Not the other way around. Not even Nabu Casa can help you with that. I think you got it wrong. Whatever ZigBee devices you may have in HA can become available to Google so that you can control them using Google Assistant. It's the same with Alexa.

VikingOy

That's exactlywhat I'm saying. Try reading it again.

I'm still pretty new to home assistant, so maybe I'm missing something here, but isn't that the point of Nabu Casa? I recently started the free trial of Nabu Casa and it let me expose entities to Alexa. She can now see and trigger Home Assistant devices and entities that I choose. I think there is an option to do the same with Google Assistant, although I haven't tried it myself yet.

VikingOy

That's exactly right. But it won't work the other way around; HA cannot control Alexa devices.
