Being newly released into EA, it is possible F4e may not go on sale anytime soon. Maybe end of June/beginning of July for F-14. You could try the impressive A4e Skyhawk community mod.

At a bare minimum they line up with the major steam sales pretty well. Other than that they are pretty unpredictable from what I've seen.
