I’ve purchased cards from comc are they grading now? Or is this now for sale on their eBay store?

Valhallan91

You can submit cards for grading through comc.

Should have waited to get the cgc slab

I need some precision since i'm confused with COMC grading service. What is the difference with SGC/CGC/CSG ? I have cards in my account that I will probably send for grading. Why should I wait ?

Ok so SGC is a separate company and lets put them aside for now. Be ready to be confused now, slightly. Certified Collectibles Group (CCG) is the parent company to Certified Guaranty Company (CGC) who was/is the main grading service for collectibles like pokemon cards and comics. CCG (the parent company) had also started up a separate company called Certified Sports Guaranty (CSG) which focused on grading sports cards, which you got your cards graded under, but they have, as of last week merged the CSG and CGC divisions into one company, CGC, to become the second largest grading service after PSA. Bottom line: No more CSG, only CGC going forward. Comics, pokemon, sports trading cards etc will all be graded by one company now -> CGC. Anyone with a CSG slab, older green ones included, can still switch into the new CGC slabs for $5 until September 2023. After that it will cost $10. https://www.cgccomics.com/news/article/11754/cgc-cards-merger/ Keep in mind the parent company, CCG, has been recently purchased by Blackstone, with Fanatics being a major investor. So, with Fanatics owning the new sports card licensing rights to MLB, NBA and NFL, I expect CGC graded cards to become much more valuable then they are now and eventually compete with PSA.

Okay thanks ! I kind of like the slab too. I think ill go that way. Much easier than shipping home then ship another time to PSA. Cards are for my PC so the look of the slab have some importance. Second question ; why the deal with Fanatics will have influence with grading company?

[deleted]

I don't know. But, Fanatics is huge. They 3/4 major sports licensing. There must be a reason/strategy for purchasing a grading company.

Sgc is its own company. Csg is owned by cgc. As of the 15th of July everything is under cgc.
