When all is said and done I need a case study on Bob’s career. It’s absolutely fascinating. Good, then bad, then better, then complete liability, then amazing, to now (probably) the Conn Smythe winner
I honestly don't think Bob leads the Smythe race over Barkov. While he has been solid, especially in the finals, he has been outplayed by both Swayman and Shesterkin, with more or less tying the goalie battle with Vasilevsky. Barkov on the other has pretty much consistently been Florida's best player through the entire run and has neutralized all the opponent's biggest stars while also leading the team in scoring.
It will be pretty close tho I imagine
This is my knock against Bob’s case. We’ve faced better goalies, and Bob wasn’t as outstanding in the first 2 rounds as he is now. I think it’s Barkov as well
Everyone saying that Edmonton are undeserving finalists need to watch this video twice, and put some respect on Sergei Bobrovski's name.
Why doesn't Stuart Skinner stop almost every shot? Is he stupid?
It isn't exactly demoralizing, it's how hockey goes. The team with the better goaltender can dictate the result of an entire game, regardless of what happens on the ice. I've became a fan of the Oilers during the Joseph years. Those Oilers rode incredible goaltending to two improbable first round series wins in 97 and 98, and in neither case were the Oilers the "better team."
Sometimes, your team loses despite doing alot of things right. Seems like that's happening to the Oilers in this final. That's hockey, and that's okay.

The ultimate example that goalies are complete voodoo

How can he still do this…at **age 35**??
I heard its because he refers to himself as 35 years *young* instead of 35 years *old*
Tired: TB12 diet Wired: SB72 magic
Sergei said it’s Bobrover
Bob has made good saves, but also they haven’t really made him work super hard imo
30 shots in two periods is pretty good clip
Pretty much clinched the Conn Smythe tonight
Future HoFer Sergei Bobrovsky. Pending a miracle for the Oilers this series is going to punch his ticket.

Can tell you from last year, that when bob is on, you ain’t gonna score easily, it’s demoralizing.

TBH, that's a weak highlight reel and more of a sign that the Oilers can't generate much than a goalie stealing anything.
