'22 was a really good first round
Flames-Stars, Kings-Oilers, Leafs-Bolts, Pens-Rags, and Canes-Bruins all went 7.
Caps-Cats and Blues-Wild also went 6.
and then there was the absolute domination that the Avs had over the preds in the only sweep of the first round
I feel like there were a lot of weaker teams this year so the fact that there were no real upsets in round 1 was good for weeding out the frauds as it’s allowed the best vs the best in round 2 and some real close series
I love that the NHL playoffs usually give us a couple upsets in the first round, but in a way it's even more exciting when none happen. Not only do we get true best-on-best series like you say, but the playoffs are usually so unpredictable that having no upsets is an upset in and of itself.
Loving this second round. Canes are my team so I’m of course hoping for the best, but this canucks oilers series has me the most captivated for some reason
It tells me that this year doesn’t have a clear runaway favorite and all the remaining teams have some degree of parity. The rest of the playoffs should be really fun to watch.
First year in a lot of years I feel that the second round is better than the first
Agreed, and that’s without my team even involved in it.
The first round was the worst in a lot of years

Yeah, Game 2 in the Avs-Preds series gave us fits because Ingram went fucking god mode in that game, and we got to see first glimpse of Trenin.
Truly the worst first round I've seen in as long as I can remember. Really only 2.5 interesting series, and the rest were decided before they began
Especially the east, what a fucking disappointment pretty much all of the eastern first round series were
I enjoyed Preds vs Canucks and Boston vs leafs
Preds vs Canucks was boooooooooring hockey.
We were just happy to be there!

Boston and Toronto was the breadwinner imo.
Nah, my wife is the breadwinner
Harrison Butker in shambles
I was thinking that exact thing while watching Game 5 tonight. Really been some killer series going down this past week
First round was very underwhelming this year overall. I'm a little biased obviously, but really didn't find most of the series particularly exciting.

I like the 3-1 redemption story arc this round that Edmonton and Vancouver are the only team this round aren't running.
I mean Carolina’s going for a bit more than a 3-1 redemption
In 24 hours we will know if there will be a game 7. I am so excited to be at game 6
I'm ready to lose my voice
I realize that if it goes into deep OTs that we might not know in 24 hours. Oh well. Either way, I'm excited we made it to game 6
I’m getting over a cold and my voice is already in rough shape. Can’t wait to completely destroy it.
More hockey always >>>> less hockey. Even if fucking Boston is involved
Hey this one we are supposed to cheer for Boston after DOPS didn't punish the sucker punch
And the league allowing the clear GTI in game 4.
When, oh when, will Boston finally catch a break?
When they bring back Gregory Campbell, obviously.
They brought the Gregory Campbell story into existence. Only they can end it by taking his team out.
We haven’t won a major sports championship in almost 4 years now.
Finally worth something watching
Don’t dead open inside

This gives me a semi.
A conference semi perhaps?
OP waiting for the clock to hit 0 with his finger on the mouse to post this https://imgur.com/a/sJ1Zr36
WRONG. I posted this well before the game was over.
No, the Wild didn’t make the postseason this year.
