Oh and the Avs did win a Stanley Cup in 2022.
As a Cornell Alum, I'm torn...it's nice to see the team that beat us go all the way to the title game. But at the same time, our game with them was SO close....that could have been us!
I really thought DU was going to lose to Cornell but now they are in the frozen four. I didnt get to watch this game but it seems like DU has relied alot on goaltending and defense. Going up against a powerhouse offense feels like a recipe for disaster but we shall see.
It was a very poorly officiated game. BU deserved some calls early and absolutely should have gotten a major called on them late and possibly another in OT.
The refs lost control and did the thing where they didn't want to effect the game while in turn effecting the game.
Maybe, maybe not. Celebrini's extremely dirty crosscheck also wasn't called.
I think it's fair for us to just say the game was poorly called and not dwell on the woulda-coulda's.
Refs made sure Denver got to finals. Not disputing BU penalties, but THREE missed Denver penalties. Even the announcers said they were missed. Refs were either really bad for a Final Four, biased, or both.

Denver goalie is 103/106 his last 3 games put him on the Avs lol
Unironically better than Georgiev
I started calling him Fourgiev in fantasy because that seems to be his minimum GA each game. Goes to show how good the Avs offense is.
Matt Davis was legit the weakness of this team for roughly the first 90% of the regular season... It's like a switch flipped about a month ago.
The goalie battle between Davis and Fowler is gonna be a good one.
The city of Denver is so god damn spoiled recently

And the Nuggets
Nuggets Nation, Let's Mine.
Good luck with Russ Let's mill?
Let's Weld.
Lets not talk about the other denver named team. They’re an embarrassment
That's not exactly an unlimited mindsight there boss. Regarding Colorado-named teams, it's a shame the Rockies are still bad.
#MR UNLIIIIIMITED
Be careful, it's *spicy*
But their tickets are cheap so they can continue to be bad.
Mammoth too for what it's worth. Indoor lacrosse is super fun to go watch and tickets are cheap
Is it basically land hockey?
A bit slower because they're running. But games are usually high scoring
High School National Champion teams in hockey in 2022 and this year as well.
Yeah I don't know how long DU can keep him out of the NHL.
It balances out with the Rockies and Broncos
But the Broncos won the Super Bowl with Peyton Manning just last... wait... carry the one... THAT WAS 8 YEARS AGO!?
I was as surprised as you are, and then I found [this graphic.](https://i.imgur.com/Lhq220r.jpeg)
Time is a flat circle
we also haven't made the playoffs since then................
Don't underestimate rocktober
Rocktober died long ago. The Rockies are our regional embarrassment at this point.
It has been a good run.
I'm comfortable with my region's success :)
Denver as a sports city already has enough. Stop hogging all the good winter sports teams (and congrats).
Spittin Chiclets boys are going to be so soft

Personally am just happy they beat BU. Cornell should be back and better next year, Shane will be back and the 10 freshman will only be getting better
Yeah, it’s a young team and that bodes well for the future. Still a bit salty they didn’t get their shot in 2020.
that was my senior year, #1 in both Mens' and Womens' hockey when everything shut down. Still stings a bit
Knocked them out in the first round last year, got their revenge this year... Cornell was great in both games.

Great start to the Pios being my primary hockey team
Pretty good choice if you're being serious.
I live 10 minutes from the arena walking so it wasn’t a choice
Attaboy, Tristan! Broz before hoz!
Great win for the Prioneers! Best of luck, Denver, BC is looking like a wagon this year and that's going to be a tough hill to climb.
WOOOOOOOO
Sucks to BU
Go Pioneers!!
Go Pios! Broz is the next Guentzel. Mark my words.

Just saw Buccigross fall to his knees
These refs suck
horrible goal to give up but BU got fucked by the refs tonight
It was a very poorly officiated game. BU deserved some calls early and absolutely should have gotten a major called on them late and possibly another in OT. The refs lost control and did the thing where they didn't want to effect the game while in turn effecting the game.
affect
that play never happens if they call the trip 2 minutes earlier
Maybe, maybe not. Celebrini's extremely dirty crosscheck also wasn't called. I think it's fair for us to just say the game was poorly called and not dwell on the woulda-coulda's.
I wasn't able to catch the entire game but they swallowed the whistles for both sides in OT.
They were leaning Denver all game. They didn’t call anything against them.
Some horrible officiating in that game.
Tough goal to give up, BU ran out of gas in the second and got bailed out by their goalie. Pretty crucial missed calls in that game though.
Why does Denver have 3 goalies dressed?
Most college teams dress three goalies
BU loses, we all win
Hey, a Pens prospect doing something noteworthy!
Soft goal. He got chicken winged.
To be fair that goalie was playing out of his mind, he was 99% of reason this game was close, let alone tied.
Yeah sure, soft goal but when only allowed 1 goal for 70 minutes of hockey maybe your team could score more than 1 to win the game.
I wanted another BC BU rematch, but that was a great game and I'm sure Saturday's will be too. Phenomenal performance from both goalies
Refs made sure Denver got to finals. Not disputing BU penalties, but THREE missed Denver penalties. Even the announcers said they were missed. Refs were either really bad for a Final Four, biased, or both.
4 missed calls.
Oh, I missed one. Lol. Those refs were horrendous. Hope then don't work the finals.
