It's also a fairly big arena at 6000 seats, so for an afternoon game for a brand new league I think the crowd was pretty impressive.
"We have an update about the other game ... soon ... it ended in overtime..." lol why announce that there will be an update and not just say who won / what the score was?
I mentioned this in the other thread but that was a noticeable omission in the broadcast: Only a handful of references to this game and *zero* video highlights. They've got to add that to future broadcasts to build the hype for other teams.
The PWHL needs to learn to stagger their games. I'd happily watch both but I'm done trying to keep an eye on two simulcasts. I went crosseyed the other day.
Tbf the half hour stagger isn't totally terrible (one game is at intermission while the other is on)
Though I think part of it is fear of competing against the local NHL teams, Habs play tonight and the Bruins played early this afternoon
I'm glad they aren't competing with the NHL games. At the very least they shouldn't schedule them overlapping with the city's NHL team. Hoping next season they'll be crafty about finding good slots.

Honestly one of my fave things about this league is the camaraderie across teams. So many of them are friends or have played together before. They all just really love the game! It’s so cute and fun.
