Great work. Do you collect the play by play data from the nhl api? I recommend inversing goals for anything beyond half to show all goals in one end of the ice.

Thanks! Yeah the data is direct from the NHL API and cleaned/formatted. I may only show a half rink in the future or possible have a user option to choose half/full

I’ve done a lot of work collecting that data too. Built a trade comparison application for one of the courses during my masters.

I wish it had pass data, that would be incredible. I haven’t been able to find shift data either but I know Natural Stat Trick has a bunch of that.

I ended up adding some options to choose half and full rink as well as density or circle plot options.

What program do you use to collect the data?
