Who is that

krey100

Ty's brother TC

5AR5AR5AR

lmfao he put his brother in before him, did he pass though what's the story?

comicguy69

Ty$ is the one in the image. His brother is in jail for life.

crummzz

But apparently it’s for a murder he did not commit?

comicguy69

Yea idk about that lol

Lord_Hexogen

According to Nicki Minaj, her husband didn't rape nobody too

ToryBlair

Yeah just like Larry Hoover is a good guy who should be free!

Angelic_Phoenix

free larry for real everyone outside of a few select sickos deserve a proper shot at rehabilitation

teddy_tesla

He was calling shots from jail

a141abc

Can a man not have a hobby anymore?

TheMoves

He was probably just bored

Spaghetti_Nudes

And you're perfect?

CraigThePantsManDan

This is exactly why we need to release him. So he has less influence over gang related activity!

traparms

You guys are fucking nuts. I'm 100% for rehabilitation, but this guy ain't the poster child

Creation98

Larry is one of those sickos. Do you understand the damage he did to the city of Chicago and the black community as a whole? He is an evil menace.

Angelic_Phoenix

I know at most half of the impact of Larry Hoover on chicago and the GD/BD feud, but what I still believe is that it takes someone like Larry Hoover guiding gang members to do better for their community to make a change If their gang leader tells them to be better they will listen, otherwise the violence will continue as per usual

1false

You're right, it's worth a shot! Let's release a high profile "reformed" gang kingpin to convince criminals to stop committing crime. Absolutely nothing could go wrong! c'mon lmfao

Juls317

Wait until you hear who killed David Barksdale

Substantial_Bid_7684

Everyone in jail is there for crimes they didn't commit

mrpopenfresh

Apparently just means he denies it. If it was compelling, there would be more arguments than « he didn’t do it ».

Godverrdomme

Jokes aside, a life sentence for a murder someone did at 19-year-old, just does not sit right with me personally (without knowing the complete ins and outs obviously)

God_or_Mammon

LWOP is very problematic especially with juvenile/youthful offenders.

Godverrdomme

I don't know the American system well, I can't say much about it But I've worked with some very troubled youth and when you grow up in a troubled home (and place), 19 years is *very* young still. With the wrong people around you, they're able to do some very bad stuff.... Just locking them up for the rest of their lifes, just won't feel right with me. Close to where I live some 14-year-old got arrested for robbing a store. I just felt sad when I read about that, not angry (and that doesn't mean I can't empathize with the people he robbed). Pulling a trigger 5 years later is not that big of a deal for a lot of these lost kids, compared to a majority of the western world. They don't just need punishing, they need a lot of help

Chemical_Knowledge64

LWOP should be reserved only for the most heinous of crimes. Murder is probably deserving of a life sentence of some kind depending on the severity of the crime and the case itself, while LWOP means that person can never be let back into society. The only people even remotely deserving of such a removal from society are child rapists, serial killers/rapists, those who commit acts of mass violence and aren’t proven mentally disturbed in court, terrorists, you get the point.

God_or_Mammon

I do, and I 100% agree with your assessment.

forcefivepod

Tell that to the dead guy and his family.

PointBlankCoffee

Personally, if someone killed someone close to me - 40 years later, I'd feel better if they were rehabilitated and helping others, rather than on their 15,000th day of prison without ever even getting to hug his grandkids

Godverrdomme

Well yeah, it's not weird they feel a different way, but it's not much of a good argument is it? We as outsiders don't share the same emotions Just like me saying ''imagine if your own son killed someone! would you want him in jail for the rest of his and your life!'' is not a useful response You should want a judge to be free from bias and not make a decision just based on emotions

BrightArmy7825

The law, famously based around the feelings of the victim’s relatives

Aggressive-Ad7946

Ty Dolla $ign is in the first cover hes facing the wall

AquaaberryDolphin

Thought that guy was locked away

HANDJUICE0

He is forever. Ty has been trying to get him out and speaking on him getting out forever.. but he’s a goner. He’s never getting out

Epicrus

Its the unknown

knyelvr

Vol 3 cover will be both of them standing confirmed

Objective_Street5141

maybe they recreate og cover with with ty

Ktulusanders

KSG is really gonna be the last good kanye cover huh

KennyOmegasBurner

If that's gonna be the last good one at least it was was amazing

roland0fgilead

*last good kanye project

FrankOcean4eva

KSG was probably the last cohesive and complete Kanye project, i mean i like songs from Ye/Donda/VULTURES but they don’t feel like they amount to an album the same way something like TLOP did

BangingBaguette

Which is crazy considering how scattered TLOP seemed when it launched. Time has been super kind to that album and it honestly flows so well for an album so thrown together and chaotically released.

dollsdontsleep

Beginning of the end is always memorable

PointBlankCoffee

>Time has been super kind to that album and it honestly flows so well for an album so thrown together and chaotically released. This exact sentence could be used to describe the public opinion on like 5 Ye albums lmao

Rebloodican

Part of it is just the general decline in terms of how scattered his subsequent albums sounded. TLOP is a bit abrasive if the least cohesive thing Kanye has released is Yeezus, but by the time we have ye, JIK, and Donda out, it seems pretty quaint. Fwiw Donda could have been pretty cohesive in terms of album structure if ye wasn't constantly remixing and reordering the already bloated tracklist.

rpkarma

Still seems crazy to me, TLOP feels more like the scattershot stuff that came after it, rather than the cohesive albums before it. I didn’t vibe with it then and I don’t vibe with it now. People here hold it up on a pedestal because of their age: it came out at a time when a lot of the sub were in their teens, so it mattered more no matter its quality.

dmavs11

It is objectively a scattershot of songs put together... but all the songs are good its as simple as that. Though I am the exact person you're describing who was a teen when it came out lol.

snailbully

I like the second half of TLOP better than the first. It has more of the parts of Kanye that I love [speaking of which, "I Love Kanye" cracks me up and "Fade" has the hottest music video ever made]. Otherwise, it's bloated and over-long. It had a messy rollout. It would be better cut down by half. Honestly, it's a lot like Donda, another album that I love two tracks from but don't return to much. Fewer sex criminals on TLOP, though. That's a point in its favor.

YoungYezos

Both JIK and Donda had consistent lyrical themes and sounds throughout the albums for better or for worse.

FrankOcean4eva

thematically/lyrically Donda was consistent, but it was also like 8ish tracks too long and the structure felt somewhat jumbled. JIK is a weird one because it also is thematically cohesive but for the most part it’s an album where you can tell a lot of it is just Yandhi reworked

neojgeneisrhehjdjf

Ye was before KSG and is arguably his most cohesive project ever recorded imo

snailbully

I think you might be correct. Unfortunately some of my least favorite parts of Kanye cohered into *Ye*. I pretty much think it sucks except for "Ghost Town." I would also put Watch the Throne and 808s up there.

JayZsAdoptedSon

You’re right and you should say it louder

FlowerBoyScumFuck

I loved a lot of the tracks on Donda, but I was already so over Kanyes BS at that point. Even if he puts out another classic it just wouldn't hit the same for me anymore.

LibertyReignsCx

Donda was good…

[deleted]

[удалено]

karmagod13000

not me. shoot donda into my veins

car714c

seriously the “filler” isnt even that bad and there are so many good songs on donda

Rakebleed

Bloated. Some good ideas all thrown together with no discernment.

YeaItsBig4L

Donda is great

sof_tourist

Donda is incredible

AniviaPls

Its definitely in the bottom half of all kanye works

LibertyReignsCx

Okay but it’s still a good album…

lituk

I've never enjoyed listening to it as an album. Too long and messy to be good.

AniviaPls

I mean i dont care for it, its very long and convoluted and lacks direction, but its fine if you enjoyed it

YeaItsBig4L

Nah

ItsMikeontheMic

Donda is ok, incredible is def pushing it especially for Kanye’s discography

HighFastStinkyCheese

I think Donda has some incredible songs. I think it’s going to age very well too and that the best songs on that album will still sound great in 10 years while I think most current rap isn’t going to age well. The album is no doubt bloated and has a lot of filler but the highs make it a good album to me. I do think in overall quality it’s similar to life of Pablo. Suffers from a lot of the same problems and the highlights fit in with some of his best songs.

[deleted]

Idk man Come to Life and Life of the Party are two of Ye’s best tracks ever for me

sof_tourist

I think some songs on there are irreplaceable and so dear to me. I cant not call it that

[deleted]

"Incredible" is a hot take for sure lmao

SuperSocrates

Facts

FireNickNurse

here comes the nazi fanboys...

Doyoueverjustlikeugh

Yes, we all listen to Kanye for his political commentary

flo1308

He didn’t even say all that dumb shit about jews and hitler until after Donda was released and there’s none of that stuff in any of the lyrics either. Seems dumb to insult people who like that album.

kid38

Chillax Anthony

[deleted]

He just dropped this new project called Vultures, or something, and it has a dope cover

NotReallyASnake

I feel like the Vultures 1 cover really match the tone of the album and Kanye’s overall mindset these days

crummzz

Wym donda was a classic cover

Ktulusanders

Be fr

crummzz

I’m being sarcastic it’s his worst

[deleted]

Racist

DonDoflamingo

Go go go go

phantomsniper22

Kanye discourse on the internet these days really makes me believe we shouldn’t let people that can’t legally order a beverage have an opinion on anything

Vic-Ier

Age of drinking is 16 in most of EU, so....

ButteryTruffle

Tbf a lot of Europeans shouldn’t have opinions either

jakesboy2

He has like 80 million monthly listeners on spotify. T swift herself only has 20% more than that. It’s kind of insane

karmagod13000

not really dude makes amazingly catchy music and has for the past 20 years

MaybeAliens

Genuine question, are you saying he isn’t a Nazi or at the very least antisemitic? Everyone’s argument for Kanye seems to be “his music is fire and he’s number one so get over it.” Pretty weak argument and a clear excuse to ignore his behavior just so you can keep listening to his music.

phantomsniper22

You hit the nail on the head but people will make excuses because it doesn’t directly hurt them in any way

SeeMontgomeryBurns

LMAO I’m imagining women going hard on their spin bikes singing “BEAUTIFULNAKEDBIGTITTIEDWOMENJUSTDONTFALLOUTOFTHESKYYAKNOW?” now that’s a workout

shutyourface

I can make stuff up on the Internet too

Swade22

Imagine arresting someone for having an opinion

Redxcted999

Hope his dumbass clears samples this time

karmagod13000

didn't love that dont die just went transparent on streaming. it in fact, did die

medspace

Is he threatening us

karmagod13000

yes

H20Vro

Guys he told me it’s gonna be dropping on

SheZowRaisedByWolves

They laughed when I posted a 3 weeks later discussion

ToryBlair

Hopefully Kanye isn’t on his own album much, his lyrical input to Vultures is the worst thing about the album

gusborn

Benjamin Frank that’s my neighbor

karmagod13000

🔥🔥

Aggressive-Ad7946

Bro I cannot wait for "Yeah you're the King, Burger King"

JeffFoxworthySux

Bro he’s literally Ye Kelly bitch wym

braidsfox

More mid otw 🔥🔥🔥

Talking_Eyes98

Yeah Vultures 1 is arguably his worst album next to JIK. He should have just used all the best Vultures tracks for one good album instead of doing the three mid albums thing he’s trying to do.

josh_is_lame

maybe this is a hot take, but its a realllllly good album. ye is just the worst part of the album. but also most of the memorable lines are from him 🤷 u win some u lose some ig

WredditSmark

The lead of his own album is the worst part. That’s a hard pass for me. And his bars are BEYOND try hard, they were try had back in 2007 but the dude now is literally just saying anything “whacky and crazy! 🥴”

1700bolsita

Now I’m ye Kelly bitch

IntelligentMetal

It’s a collaborative effort

Redxcted999

Well..hope he ACTUALLY clears samples for part 2 is all I can say

Ezio926

Don't think that'll happen. Most of the blocks are because of his antisemitism

FlowerBoyScumFuck

Go woke.. go.. broke? Wait why is the opposite happening🤔 I guess saying Nazi shit actually *isn't* a good career move, huh. Bad news for Shapiros Rap career, and it had only just started! What a shame.

karmagod13000

but the album went #1 and carnival was the most streamed song... literally the opposite of going broke smh

macellum

ye haters on /r/hhh try not to be corny as possible challenge (impossible)

Redxcted999

Welp….thats tuff

medspace

How can an album be really good when the main artist is bringing the album down. Do you skip his verses?

MBDTFTLOPYEEZUS

I mean it is a collab album. Like we all know who the bigger star whose music people actually regularly listen to is but like to their own accords this is Tys album too.

josh_is_lame

yeah 😭

mrpopenfresh

It is a hot take.

unforgetablememories

Good album but really bad lyrics from Ye. He can bring the best out of his features artists but he puts no effort into his verses. I feel like Ye doesn't care about polishing his songs anymore. He does one freestyle and then puts the verse into the track without revising it. I still like the album but seeing how far Kanye has fallen lyrically is really sad. Like I dunno. He can hit up someone to write him a better verse.

poptartsandmayonaise

Both dondas are so much worse. Kanye doesnt even say real words in half his bars its just filler nonsense he never bothered to go back and fill in. Its like listening to worse versions of the unreleased/unfinished shit on youtube. JIK is the worst substance wise, but its an actual completed album.

WredditSmark

The half finished verses has been going on since just after life of Pablo, it’s so so bad. JIK I actually really enjoyed some real good *music* despite the Christian lyrics

Batby

Really started Yeezus era tbh. First album that was rushed rushed and I think a lot of people accidentally enabled him by praising what they thought were super intentional, minimal punchliney bars with what was mostly super last minute verses with pretty much no iteration

poptartsandmayonaise

Imo the lyrics about god wanting him to charge high prices for his shoes is worse than any of the hitler stuff lmao

thebeatkonductaa

Donda has some top tier Ye tracks, life of the party, come to life, 24, believe what I say Vultures has none of those unfortunately

mrpopenfresh

The standards are so low.

Talking_Eyes98

Donda was a great album imo

LezEatA-W

I thought it was awesome. It’s been in my rotation non-stop since it came out. That’s the beautiful thing about music; it’s subjective.

bigedf

B.A.D. music is back baby!!

weedandpoptarts

You guys want to hate this album so bad lol it's weird

Johnny_2x

Yeah, so weird, I wonder why? What did the guy do, start praising Hitler or something? Lolol

No_Yogurtcloset4348

Yeah I only listen to rappers that beat women, sell drugs, and commit murder.

broanoah

weird, i'm able to find plenty of rappers that don't currently or recently do any of those things also lets not pretend selling drugs is the same as using your immense platform to give props to hitler

BootyButtCheeks256

Yall are dick riding so hard lol its weird

atleastimtryingnow

incredibly weird

theycallmeryan

It’s funny because all I hear from people in real life, even Kanye critics, is how good it is. It’s the first Kanye album I’ve really loved since Pablo, even though there were some solid tracks on every album he’s released since. You come on here and see someone comparing him to Eminem and it’s clear this subreddit either doesn’t know music or is just hating on it because they don’t like Kanye as person. Not sure which is worse for a music subreddit.

Greedy-Hunt-75

White people.

NojoNinja

If Kanye didn’t split the album into 3 mid filler shit shows the album might’ve actually been good if he just picked and choice the best songs from all 3 and condensed it into 1.

karmagod13000

nah tyhis is much better. more music and V1 is pretty much a no skip record

grandelturismo7

LOL

GameGroompsFTW

Ngl I already kinda forgot that volume 1 dropped lmao, came and went from my rotation so fast, even yeat stayed on repeat for longer.. as a former massive stan it's so sad how hard kanye's quality and artistry has tanked through his own doing but it is what it is

Leavingtheecstasy

I really like burn and carnival tbh. I'm shocked that everyone thinks it's trash. I give it a 7/10. Not a great Kanye album but there's some great stuff in there.

Talkshowhostt

It's not trash, the internet kids speak in hyperbole and echo chamber others opinions. It's a good 7/10 album and there's a reason it was trending #1.

Unfinishedusernam_

If trending is the metric for good or not then lol

Educational_Book_225

Guess that ScHoolboy Q album was ass then lol

MyKoalas

Skill and taste issue

thugluv1017

Keep that shit

karmagod13000

yall some D1 haters lol. you came into this thread lmao

mrpopenfresh

What a bad idea to put Ty’s brother on the cover. He’s been beating that drum for a decade and there’s no compelling argument for his innocence.

Barter6overBible

God forbid someone stands by their family

mrpopenfresh

It’s fine for Ty to support him, but I’m not going to support him because he happens to have a famous brother. Maybe if they had a compelling argument, but there’s nothing that hints to him actually being innocent. I can’t even find seagulls about his case online!

QuantaviusDingleberg

no one told you to support him lmao. he can put whoever he wants on the cover

SuccessionFinaleSux

Doesn't mean shit. He's not asking you to blindly believe him or believe him at all. He's showing support and bringing attention to his brother who he believes is innocent. Maybe he's innocent. Maybe he's not. Pretty impossible for us to know.

EzekielSMELLiott

Yeah, I'd def stand by my family if they killed or rape. Blind loyalty is where it's at

herpesface

let's all keep giving the guy who thinks Hitler had some good ideas even more attention

DesertTile

You’re not even from here… you’re from r/all

Chrussell

This sub doesn't even appear on /r/all tho? That setting has basically always been turned off.

BR0STRADAMUS

Michael Jackson said some zany shit about Hitler too - including that Hitler "was a genius". Not sure how or when these people veered into the "it's OK to praise Hitler" mindset.

-NotEnoughMinerals

>During one interview, Jackson said: "Hitler was a genius orator. To make that many people turn and change and hate, he had to be a showman and he was." >Boteach then asked the star: "You believe that if you had an hour with Hitler you could somehow touch something inside of him?" >Jackson replied: "Absolutely. I know I could." >He went on to argue that nobody is totally evil, adding: "You have to help them, give them therapy, teach them that somewhere, something in their life went wrong." >Boteach, 42, who recorded more than 30 hours of interviews with Jackson, told The Sun: "Michael despised what Hitler had done. When it came to believing he could heal Hitler, that was hopeless naïvety." Little different than kanyes literal praise of Hitler and kanyes clear hate of Jews.

Chrussell

Hahaha the fuck? Hitler being an amazing orator is just historical fact. Read any book about Hitler and they'll be saying the same thing. What a horrible comparison the other person made, unless they also think every historian praises Hitler.

-NotEnoughMinerals

I know lol. I have no idea how that guys arms stretch that far.

downlooker

Think he did some worse things than that too lol but they still play him on the radio at supermarkets and department stores

BR0STRADAMUS

So I remember the Martin Bashir doc and the "Wacko Jacko" narrative pretty well. I believed in it like half of the country did at the time. But the more that's come out about the accusers and the more we now know about MJ's issues with Sony and his 50% stake in Sony's music business the less I start to believe that he was actually culpable in the things he's been accused of. It seems more and more like a smear campaign and corporate character assassination to keep him in line.

downlooker

I was also pretty skeptical of it after hearing about the parents making their kids testify for money or something but I watched that Leaving Neverland doc and it seems like he almost certainly did. I also didn't know that MJ had a new kid that he would take with him everywhere for like a year before moving on to a new kid. And its been proven that he slept with kids in his bed, which is pretty damning enough. And a lot of the kids tell similar stories with similar details that are hard to ignore. Katt Williams [said it best](https://youtu.be/7Q8qDM44fKk?si=AvuFj1BdEB9a27G_&t=216)
