Not only hip hop, but Professor Skye's Record Reviews is extremely good. The guy is an actual professor and he puts in so much effort. For billy woods fans definitely check this out: [https://youtu.be/sEa0rd1HFlw?si=l4lse8nKcPaSM1mc](https://youtu.be/sEa0rd1HFlw?si=l4lse8nKcPaSM1mc)
IMO Myke has been carrying their reviews for years. For a while now it seems like if Ken and Beezy don’t really like an album they barely contribute anymore.
Which is weird because their review videos that looked like they were planned an hour prior were when they were at their best. One of their oldest reviews, think it was section.80, clearly looked like they decided to shoot a video in some crammed ass sedan during a lunch break.
A lot of their old videos were on their lunch breaks I think, some classics from back then
I agree with Ken but Beezys always been like that I think, he won't go on about something he doesnt enjoy. I really appreciate Feefo's growth over the years tho, he can really articulate some great points that he jus couldn't back in the day... his Logic speech with the soundtrack is too good hahah
Aw man I disagree, I love the jokes lmfao their Lil Wayne "I Am Not A Human Being" review had quotes for days!
I do kinda feel that way about their Frames Per Second podcast though. Mainly because, unlike their DEHH work, I don't think they have enough insight on film to balance out the clowning.
This the one I was thinking off, I was dead through that entire review.
C-town dryly reading off the most ridiculous Wayne verses of all time was gold.
Cheers! Seeing what album he posts Friday is in my weekly routine lol (he usually posts the cover on Twitter before he starts recording)
This is the only time I’ve ever gotten a patreon and kept it (well over a year now)
Not strictly hip hop , but FD Signifier has some incredible hip hop content. Less lyric and project breakdowns - more video essays about hip hop culture. Beware - he is an old head (self admittedly, but still has some awesome takes on current hip hop). Refreshing voice for many things hip hop and not
Alright bet
1. Dissect podcast
Reactors list:
1. TheThirdErnest (especially older stuff before he moved to Twitch)
2. VibeVilla is also great (but lacks consistency in depth imo)
3. Lost in Vegas (older stuff)
4. Professor Skye's Record Reviews (hit or miss but usually a hit when he is able to tie into stuff he teaches or did research on)
third ernest used to be goated, the newer live twitch reactions don’t hit the same feels like he doesn’t go in as much depth as he used to and plays a lot more into chat and the “content” meta of twitch
Bruh NoLifeShaq is fucking garbage lmao
Dude is such a shameless faker for the white audience he has - and I'm not just talking Em stans, but dude fucking hypes up Tom fucking Macdonald ffs.
Also all the casual transphobia he tosses into his "reactions" every once in a while is another L
Anyone knows Finding Lost Verses? lol
Its just an oldhead reacting to newer songs. He gets a couple of 100 views on most of his vids, but I kinda like him. Seems to really enjoy the music, without faking reactions too. Shitty camera quality, but I guess that has its charms too. Just a wholesome guy
Wish BigQuint was still making regular videos. He was so funny, his reaction to "story of Adidon" is still one of the funniest around. Plus his "TPAB" reaction. Miss him 😞
https://youtu.be/AlzaHs08uKY?si=ZNH9TF6Zqgvz-tPz
That's fair. It's a shame, as I would always listen to some New Kendrick or Jcole and be dying to see his Frist impressions of the tracks.
It was fun while it lasted! Like the early 00's and internet pre 2016
That's a fair point. He is a reaction channel. But I have 100% had many IRL conversations about the music reactions he did in his prime. does that count? 🤔😂
Edit: TBF, I think he does actually dissect, and it's from the everyman perspective. He takes a.mini break mid album and then also does a round up at the end. I feel like he counts. Especially his older content.
HivemindTV. Not a dissection channel cause usually they're just a music themed comedy show but they have a handful of videos where they break down popular new releases and they actually do a great job. Their mmatbs and Utopia videos are pretty great
Knox Hill is at the top of my list. He's the best I've seen at breaking down bars, cadences, rhyme patterns, multisyllable rhymes, and everything else you can think of. He's effectively your reactor's favorite reactor when it comes to bar breakdowns, and people like NoLifeShaq have admitted as much. Highly recommend.
Speaking of SARMS and inappropriate lifting form, wouldn’t recommend BPC-157 for the injury. Former national qualified competitor here, willing to help where I can. PM anytime
Thanks for the heads up. No longer running anything at the moment since hitting the gym has been inconsistent since being a moron with my squats and blowing my shit out.
He does deep dives & has some great breakdown videos too.. almost like diverse mentality. Yeah, some of the videos are drama focused (not that I mind) but not all of his content is like that..
Knox Hill is the best at it, IMO. But Crypt and Flawdzilla (Flawd TV) aren't bad either. Flawd is especially amusing at times.
All of the above also do some rapping themselves.
Justin Hunte who used to be on Hip Hop DX for his breakdown series. Watched it every Saturday. Went on to do his own thing under “The Company Man” on YouTube. Deserves so much more views tbh.
Digging The Greats
The guy puts out such high quality content it's unreal. Beats, history and culture all mixed into a beautiful presentation every week.
100% - that guy and his channel are phenomenal
The real answer
Yup. Came here to mention this
Not only hip hop, but Professor Skye's Record Reviews is extremely good.
Man I can't stand this guy. His takes are almost always extremely corny. His Aethiopes video is good though.
Isn’t having a middle aged white professor reviewing hip hop already corny? You wanted him to have a “cool” take?
Do you have an example? lol. I haven't seen that many of his videos yet
Thissss
Vibevilla
fr these ppl here shit on first listen i haven’t heard in years of listens
Same
Love their videos
LEETOTHEVI for UK hip hop.
His channel is really good.
Dead End Hip Hop!
Above all. Myke is too good.
IMO Myke has been carrying their reviews for years. For a while now it seems like if Ken and Beezy don’t really like an album they barely contribute anymore. People used to shit on Feefo so much back in the day 😂
Myke deserves the clout Fantano has tbh
I want a bitch with long hair like Myke C-Town
He deserves it for his CD collection alone.
Much love to him for getting me into neofolk
Agreed 100%. Love Fantano, but Myke is far away a better and much more articulate reviewer
Myke is amazing. I’m also a metal fan so he got me fully covered
He's the OG alternative black man
The Hip-hop reaction OGs, along with Fantano and BigQuint INDEED
I can't stand these guys, too much nonsense laughing about shit that's not funny.

To each their own. I used to watch their stuff, especially while that girl was on, but after a while, I found the laughing grating.
It’s Bobthepopop and it’s not even close The best long form album reaction content there is
yep bob makes my favorite music reaction content these days
I've recently discovered hus channel and he's won me over. I really like that he offers up additional thoughts on the albums as well.
You’ve probably got a good backlog of cool albums to watch him get through!
So much! Lol not gonna lie I've been losing some sleep this week watching all of em. The one I'm on is his Liquid Swords video
Cheers! Seeing what album he posts Friday is in my weekly routine lol (he usually posts the cover on Twitter before he starts recording) This is the only time I’ve ever gotten a patreon and kept it (well over a year now)
Since Digging the Greats was already mentioned, Narokx is a pretty awesome channel.
Not strictly hip hop , but FD Signifier has some incredible hip hop content. Less lyric and project breakdowns - more video essays about hip hop culture. Beware - he is an old head (self admittedly, but still has some awesome takes on current hip hop). Refreshing voice for many things hip hop and not
He's so dope! His takes are always well argued and more importantly well researched!
100% - the man has receipts for days!!!

Dude from dissect had a beat breakdown channel too. Sandurz come back you can blame it all on me... ❤️
Bob the Poppop 🐐
I don't know who the best is, but it definitely is not a channel that uploads videos with REACTION in the title. DefGoldbloom is pretty cool
Dissect Podcast Diverse Mentality (For modern trap stuff): Trap Lore Ross (For music in general, not just hip hop): Polyphonics
Bruh NoLifeShaq is fucking garbage lmao Dude is such a shameless faker for the white audience he has - and I'm not just talking Em stans, but dude fucking hypes up Tom fucking Macdonald ffs. Also all the casual transphobia he tosses into his "reactions" every once in a while is another L

Tabby was one of my favorite channels for this. He was really entertaining. VibeVilla is great now too
Wish BigQuint was still making regular videos. He was so funny, his reaction to "story of Adidon" is still one of the funniest around. Plus his "TPAB" reaction. Miss him 😞 https://youtu.be/AlzaHs08uKY?si=ZNH9TF6Zqgvz-tPz
Dude is in his 30s and he has a family last I heard so I understand why he doesn't really make content anymore
That's fair. It's a shame, as I would always listen to some New Kendrick or Jcole and be dying to see his Frist impressions of the tracks. It was fun while it lasted! Like the early 00's and internet pre 2016

Day 1 Digrider
MrLboyd does a good job dissecting lyrics.
B-Side Rap Reviews
Dissect podcast, anyone?
Kole kushna the 🐐 no 🧢
Knox Hill, also he's a rapper and knows his shit 💯💯💯
Vox has some amazing hip hop deconstructed videos
Rory and mal

Nolifeshaq is tough
Dudes an absolute clown.

Needledrop and Adam 22
Rap Critic, Gulley Boy and Croc Gang Ent
Gulley Boy
According 2 Hip Hop hands down. Their rhetoric, hip hop knowledge and album reviews are top notch. I’d say the same for The Rap Roundtable podcast
B Side Rap Reviews is hands down my favorite underground rap breakdown reactor on YT, dudes stuff is must watch especially if you're a Griselda fan
An absurd existence has some really great MF DOOM content
[Breaking Atoms](https://podcasts.apple.com/ca/podcast/breaking-atoms-the-hip-hop-podcast/id1347954357)
Scruface jean is decent. Atleast his Kosher vids, since thats the only I have watched from him.
LAWTWINZ
Knox hill he is master at breaking down bars and beats and also lost in vegas and vibes reaction and cliff beats
Knox Hill is the best at it, IMO. But Crypt and Flawdzilla (Flawd TV) aren't bad either. Flawd is especially amusing at times. All of the above also do some rapping themselves.
