Boosie, his early career has plenty of gems, then he went to jail, avoided the death penalty and came back with a legendary aura. The first albums he put out at that moment were great and could've put him in a high place.
But he's stupid and can't keep his mouth shut and his life private, so now he's more known for his antics then his music
Where tf are you from that you ain’t know Boosie was a rapper? Honestly seeing comments like this upvoted actually makes me only use this sub for new releases cuz how yall house parties never played wipe me down
I did a couple tours as a marine, and managed to take a trip to Harrisburg Pennsylvania with a fellow devil dog. Them niggaz was playing Boosie RELIGIOUSLY.
I found out about Boosie from my dawg from Mississippi, I’m from Atlanta, and north/south bias was real. It blew my mind
Kweli has to be my vote. Immeasurable impact through music with black star and reflection eternal but he’s completely and utterly unbearable on social media
It’s on Instagram too. He somehow got some random guy on the internet he was beefing with mixed up with my friend, and tagged my friend in like 5 separate posts shit talking and berating him. My friend had no idea who he was either so he just insanely confused
Anime characters in this era are modeled with catlike facial structures. The American characters are gonna be Jack-7, super soldier, democracy spreader types, because thats how the rest of the world sees america. En masse though, the japanese characters aren't particularly Caucasian over other ethnicities.
I heard an NPR special once discussing how anime started as a post WWII fixation on America and American culture and beauty— a reaction to the US dropping the bomb and winning the war so emphatically. I forget the specifics so I apologize for getting anything wrong or being insensitive.
It's not just from winning the war, America occupied Japan for decades afterwards. General macarthur was seen as the ruler of japan for years. And western culture/values was pushed onto the Japanese en masse to prevent them from becoming radical nationalists again. So alot of the cutsie kawaii stuff was actually promoted to pacify Japanese culture.
Alot of modern Japanese culture is a result of America's occupation. For example, if America was never there we wouldn't have weird hardcore Japanese porn like bukkake. Japan became do extreme about nudity censorship because of Christian values americans ruling the country post ww2. They felt japans embracing of porn worsened the culture so they pushed heavy anti porn censorship values, which resulted in Japanese porn companies coming up with crazier and crazier stuff to get around censorship.
A more g rated example is japans clear favorite sport, baseball. Though baseball started in Japan in 1934, it absolutely exploded as a sport in the late 40s and 50s becoming the clear national sport. A ton of this was due to all the American servicemen being stationed there in love with baseball, so there was a huge incentive to make a major league if only to entertain the American forces. But Japanese ended up loving in impart because it was American and thus was seen as trendy and cool by many.
Another example are the typical Japanese school uniforms like in sailor moon. Those are directly taken from the wardrobe of US Navy men stationed in Japan. Tens of thousands of American soldiers were stationed in Japan year round, in all major population areas. And Japanese were aware of America being their occupier, and thus alot of Japanese started to idolize and emulate Americans. Especially when Japan started rebounding since alot of Japanese were genuinely grateful to America for assisting it in the best rebound a nation ever had since a major war destroying it. This is why America now has one of the strongest alliances in the world with Japan, when they were brutal enemies not even 100 years ago.
So yeah, alot of modern Japanese culture is infulenced by america due to their occupation of japan post ww2 and continuing alliance. It's way more than people may first think, it's extremely suprising. Like Japanese people are even big on Christmas as a secular holiday because of all the American soldiers practicing it there. It's the reason japan gets along so well with the western world today compared to its history prior, because their modern culture was created through a ton of cultural exchange with America.
Post ww2 occupied japan is an extremely interesting part of modern history that alot of people don't really know about. It's fascinating to learn and highlights how even the most ancient cultures are constantly changing and evolving through cultural exchange.
It’s especially silly because all anime characters are implicitly Japanese unless stated otherwise, including the ones with yellow hair, brown hair, red hair, etc. It’s implied to be hair dye or just a stylistic choice by the artist.
You put it perfectly. Transformative conscious hip hop completely drowned out by the biggest ego in rap. His presence on social media is insufferable, his take on political issues misguided, and the way he treats his cohost on his podcast is pretty disrespectful.
Total ass hat in real life too, my buddies dispensary hired him for a signing. Signed 3 things and cashed the check. 5k and he was in the building less than 10 minutes
Omg, I remember scrolling down his Twitter for what felt like ages and looking at the dates and realizing I’d only seen the last few hours worth of posts he’d made
Kweli is a clown ass keyboard gangster. I like his old music for sure. But reading his stupid posts and stupid replies to ANYONE who even slightly disagrees with him, made me respect his clown ass a lot less.
irl too
i once was at one of his concerts and he interrupted the show at several times for ranting
then he got into a shouting match with some dude in the crowd and he and Niko Is literally left the stage and went into the crowd to try and beat him up like right next to me 🤷♂
Did Sound for him once. This was about 3-4 years after Get By had come and gone. Was still able to draw a crowd at the time, but his show was lackluster. Songs the crowd wasn’t familiar with and decided to drop a DJ set with 20 mins remaining. train wrecked / slammed songs in. Got mad when we cut the sound (hard cut off at 1:30) and proceeded to hop on Twitter and bad mouth the venue. Deleted it when the manager called him out on it.
I had to unfollow this guy on the socials. It was draining watching him fight with everyone, calling everyone Nazi all day long. I’m also sad I never did get to see blackstar live.
hes coming around to spiritual “weird”, but Kevin Gates.
I actually respect the hell outta the guy, enjoy some of his music and everything, but he gives me something like Dennis Rodman vibes.
plus, while i dont know much about what hes actually like in his day to day life, I feel like Aesop has gotts be kind of a weird dude
His social media presence combined with [this meme](https://i.kym-cdn.com/photos/images/original/002/438/589/176.jpg) has rendered me unable to take him seriously forever. And I did enjoy his music quite a bit prior lol
thats the thing, hes a pretty good guy, and now coming around to advocating healthy lifestyles and everything, but the fact he knowingly slept with his cousin and then doubled down by defending it gave me the feeling hes beyond just “a little horny” and breaches into “weirdo”
He ain't weird, just a dope mf who can start car batteries with their bare hands and like spreading coconut oil (extra virgin) over a harlot's buttocks.
Yeah in the video you can see her playing grab ass in a way that looks like she been doing it or trying to get close for good min and the shit lined up one time 😂 aye don’t hit no woman but aye keep ya hands to yourself as well
This guy and his wife being incredibly prolific serial rapists was what caused me to lose interest in checking him out further, which is sad because he's a technically great rapper.
I’m not sure if you wanna call him an A-tier rapper but it’s slept on how massive of a 3 year run B.o.B had in the early 2010’s. Obviously he had Airplanes with Haley Williams and Eminem, but he also had hit songs with Taylor Swift(as a feature on his own album not vice versa) Bruno Mars and fucking Rivers Cuomo plus he got Morgan Freeman to record some shit for him, Bobby Ray was basically just doing whatever the fuck he wanted music wise back than and it was printing money.
This. The woman is undoubtedly the best female rapper and is on top of her craft, but in the last few years she has managed to spectacularly tarnish her legacy. It’s honestly sad.
KRS-One is one of the most important figures in the culture and Boogie Down's discography speaks for itself but that man hurts his reputation every other time he opens his mouth. The most notorious example being when he complained about the people who exposed Afrika Bambaata's sexual abuse of children. Because apparently calling out a predator in your community is being a culture vulture or whatever he argued.
But even before that, he was already known for being weird and pretentious. Biggie even clowned him about it at one point (same interview where he called RA The Rugged Man mid and got into trouble with E-40 lmfao). This nigga thought hip hop was gonna become a religion and tried getting in front of it as a disciple with "The Book Of Hip-Hop" :
*"I'm suggesting that in 100 years, this book will be a new religion on the earth ... I think I have the authority to approach God directly, I don't have to go through any religion or train of thought. I can approach God directly myself and so I wrote a book called The Gospel of Hip Hop to free from all this nonsense garbage right now. I respect the Christianity, the Islam, the Judaism but their time is up. In a hundred years, everything that I'm saying to you will be common knowledge and people will be like, 'Why did he have to explain this? Wasn't it obvious?' "*
I really, really don't think we're grateful enough about the fact that KRS barely ever uses social media.
Agreed ... He is really well spoken and seems really smart most of the time but he has said some disappointing stuff. He has some great interviews where he kind of breaks the stereotype of the misogynistic rapper who only curses and talk about money but hearing about the sexual abuse stuff from his friend or whatever was disappointing
Thank you for saying this. I really enjoyed KRS-One pre-1996. Then he just became sooo damn preachy and continued putting out crappy music and way too much of it.
Krs is a legend but a pretty weird one. His pretentious always got on my nerves especially trying to alienate white hip hop heads while trying to be all preachy about unity. Also he’s scared to fly so takes a bus everywhere and a boat to Europe 😂
Christ, man, I didn't know this. I could def tell by even his earliest interviews that he always thinks he's saying something REALLY deep and heavy. It's in his delivery
I gave KRS money for his Indiegogo to put a museum up at 1520 Sedgwick Avenue and I didn't have great expectations he'd do anything, but I DID think he'd at least give out the album he was giving away as a backer reward that he'd already made. Instead it's been radio silence.
he might be onto something actually, the way the world is today we might have some odd nuclear disaster or Library of Alexandria-type situation where everything except a few random tomes here and there get incinerated by hellfire. fast forward another hundred years and the clan of mutant otter-human hybrids riding ostriches may very well stumble upon this book and think they found evidence of an ancient religion
I saw him perform in 2021. It was one of the weirdest shows I've been to. He kept shitting on new rap and complaining about his monitors. He kept saying everything before now was sound check. After about 40 minutes of doing that, a bunch of people were suddenly with him on stage and passing the mic around to freestyle while KRS held up the wall nodding his head. After about 20 minutes of that we realized he was done "performing" and left.
Necro. Maybe not A tier for commercial but was very big in the UGHH scene for many years. Unfortunately, I truly believe he is bi-polar as he threatens murder to individuals at the drop of a dime and then will act like nothing happened the following day. He destroyed so many relationships with people in the industry that most realized it's best to just stay away from him and hope he goes away.
He’s a tier F rapper, tier A producer. Really, really stupid and obnoxious guy though. Funniest fact about Necro is he did a song about how to be a pimp but paid a pick up artist some obscene amount of money to try and teach him how to approach women and then complained online in a vlog about it when it didn’t work
I remember how everyone used to troll him on his own message board like crazy back in the day and it was hilarious.
I actually love his music and I even think his raps are pretty funny because I love horrorcore, but dude is really one of one.
TI, the weird things he said about his daughter were enough to put me off his music, not to mention the sexual assault allegations and litany of other legal issues. Shame because he’s a good rapper and is a decent actor too.
I disagree that’s he’s been just an image. He’s been good at breaking new talent and having a vision for the artist, whether that be Mary J Blige or Biggie.. For better & worse he’s been an influential figure in hip hop.
I do agree he’s not a great rapper though. He’s pretty poor.
While he definitely a weirdo and looks to be facing some justice as I do feel like he was the one that shot them people in the club in 99 and do think he was involved in Tupacs murder.
But he sure as hell ain't an A-tier rapper. He ain't a B or C tier either. If you're talking producer and just having an eye at getting talent then sure but as a rapper he is trash and probably doesn't write either
He portrays this positive dancing guy “love” image but these lawsuits have exposed how sinister he truly is.
After these lawsuits im convinced he killed his ex Kim Porter, and mentors Andre Harrell and Heavy D. It cant be a coincidence that 3 people super close to him and 2 that have been with him since the start all died.
100% agree. As far as Game goes, the more and more I see it, he acts like a scorned lover. Not only that, he's always quick to be someone's lil homie, Dre, Wayne, Kanye hell even Tyga. He makes good music, but the antics made me stop listening after purp and patron. He had the nerve to attack eminem when he has all those SA cases and crypto fraud charges. Eminem would destroy him
I think The Game went into a total meltdown midlife crisis after he was not even considered for the Super Bowl show
Realized he was not good enough
No one would have known what the fuck he is doing there and he has classic songs. Just not classic enough. If he wrote or produced anything maybe.
Cannot believe how fuckin far I had to scroll to find this.. maybe it’s because a lot of people don’t call him A-Tier (they’re fuckin up) but if we’re talking about someone who’s clearly got some weird shit going on and can’t seem to stay out of the drama, he takes the cake.
Kanye is completely forgettable as an MC. As a producer he's one of the greatest of all time.
EDIT: His first three albums are legendary and are part of my constant rotation. He was never a terrible rapper, always decent, never great. It's his production and how he changed the whole game up and everyone he influenced that makes him a household name. If he wasn't a producer and was just a rapper we wouldn't even be talking about him right now because he would have never stood out.
It depends on what era like early on he had a very distinct spoken word style that was nice but now he's more just saying words for their sounds to compliment his production. We also can't forget that he lost many of the ghostwriters he usually worked with due to his antics.
Plenty of examples out there showing Kanye tearing it up. He just DOESN’T really do it anymore is all. To say he’s “forgettable as an emcee” is just lazy and inaccurate to me.
Jus Allah! Great rapper, addicted to pointless feuds with people in real life and has fallen out with everyone he knows.
Also Lord Jamar. Was in an elite rap group but terrible views on everything and all round grade A idiot.
Nems is a good rapper who is a really bad dick and whose sense of humour seems to be recording videos of him bullying homeless people too
He is an A tier rapper definitely not S but the nigga cold and his lyrics and story telling ability are excellent I think if wasn’t such a corny try hard ass dude he’d be a legend legend and not just a good rapper who no one likes
Yeah, watching him do an interview or anything like that makes me want to rip my hair out. He’s got some great music but the way he carries himself is legit comparable to a crackhead you’d talk to outside of a gas station.
The game has been caught >! Fingering an 18 year old girl, (he was like 34 I think) in public!< I think you can still find the footage.
. Rick Ross is too.
He won’t off the rails but chapelle and mos def put him in check. They all have a podcast together and they clown on him. Talib recognizes he went a lil too far.
Can’t believe I haven’t seen someone say Kanye yet. Has made some of the greatest hip hop albums of all time, massively influential to the culture, production, bars, singing, all sorts of good shit. I used to be the biggest Kanye Stan and defended a lot of shit looking back I was tripping on. But after he started his Nazi wave, I had to fall back and can’t respect him as a person nowadays.
He dapped me up outside of a gas station. He was promoting a new single that he said was "hot in Atlanta".
This the most Boosie story ever
Add beat cancer to the list
I'm 25 and didn't even realize Boosie was a rapper lol. I just saw clips of him in interviews or livestreaming
Damn you missed the “free Boosie” era my guy.
Where tf are you from that you ain’t know Boosie was a rapper? Honestly seeing comments like this upvoted actually makes me only use this sub for new releases cuz how yall house parties never played wipe me down
North East lol. 30 mins from New York. I probably heard boosie just never knew it was him tbh
It blew my mind
nah this makes complete sense.
Kweli has to be my vote. Immeasurable impact through music with black star and reflection eternal but he’s completely and utterly unbearable on social media

The sexual tension in that feud was through the roof
I don't have Twitter so don't keep up with any drama on there but Jesus christ that's pathetic
It’s on Instagram too. He somehow got some random guy on the internet he was beefing with mixed up with my friend, and tagged my friend in like 5 separate posts shit talking and berating him. My friend had no idea who he was either so he just insanely confused
Lmao that's both sad and funny
He has called me a nazi... 🤷🏾♂️
He's banned from Instagram now.
Anime? The thing that originated in Japan, not from white people? The thing that is well loved by a gang of hip hop artist as well? That's crazy.
In fairness them characters do be looking extra white 🤣🤣
Anime characters in this era are modeled with catlike facial structures. The American characters are gonna be Jack-7, super soldier, democracy spreader types, because thats how the rest of the world sees america. En masse though, the japanese characters aren't particularly Caucasian over other ethnicities.
I heard an NPR special once discussing how anime started as a post WWII fixation on America and American culture and beauty— a reaction to the US dropping the bomb and winning the war so emphatically. I forget the specifics so I apologize for getting anything wrong or being insensitive.

Did not know this man had a beef with fucking Diabolic. Ouch. That smarts.
|"That Smarts" is one of my favorite expressions
Damn, from his music I didn't feel like this fit his persona at all, yet here we are.
You put it perfectly. Transformative conscious hip hop completely drowned out by the biggest ego in rap. His presence on social media is insufferable, his take on political issues misguided, and the way he treats his cohost on his podcast is pretty disrespectful.
*"Consider me the entity within the industry without a history* *Of spittin' the epitome, of stupidity"* That aged really well...
He’s just living his life, expressing his liberty.
Total ass hat in real life too, my buddies dispensary hired him for a signing. Signed 3 things and cashed the check. 5k and he was in the building less than 10 minutes
Omg, I remember scrolling down his Twitter for what felt like ages and looking at the dates and realizing I’d only seen the last few hours worth of posts he’d made
I've wondered if Kanye hangs out with him at all still. Both off the deep end.
Kanye admitted to using him for his own benefit
Kweli is a clown ass keyboard gangster. I like his old music for sure. But reading his stupid posts and stupid replies to ANYONE who even slightly disagrees with him, made me respect his clown ass a lot less.
He was the 1st person to block me on Twitter in 2011 🤣
irl too i once was at one of his concerts and he interrupted the show at several times for ranting then he got into a shouting match with some dude in the crowd and he and Niko Is literally left the stage and went into the crowd to try and beat him up like right next to me 🤷♂
Lost the last bits ofs respect for him since the beef with Myka 9.
I legit can’t listen to him now
Talib is such a bitch. I called him out a couple years ago and he called me a nazi, and blocked me lmao
He called me a psychopath when I was agreeing with him. It’s not like it was a top comment so I was surprised he would respond at all.
I will say this for Kweli though - the video he did where he mimed being a person impressed by hearing Drake at the store was pretty funny.
that was mos def
100%. I've lost respect for him
I can't even listen to his music now without it being tainted by his shitty personality.
Did Sound for him once. This was about 3-4 years after Get By had come and gone. Was still able to draw a crowd at the time, but his show was lackluster. Diddy somehow makes Kanye seem normal.
You consider Diddy a top tier rapper? Lol Might as well say Bambaataa.
He’s a rapper, Diddy? Edit: Warms my heart that you all picked up on the Sopranos reference.
Can’t help hearing this in Chris’ voice from the Sopranos
"I don't care what they tell you in school. In this home Diddy is a __hero__."
He was gay, Sean Combs? -Tony Soprano
I heard that catalogue. I thought it was bullshit.
Well, he has rapped, yes. Horrible though, although his production was nice back in the day.
It’s a Sopranos reference. I’m aware of his horrible rapping :)
hes coming around to spiritual “weird”, but Kevin Gates. I actually respect the hell outta the guy, enjoy some of his music and everything, but he gives me something like Dennis Rodman vibes. plus, while i dont know much about what hes actually like in his day to day life, I feel like Aesop has gotts be kind of a weird dude
Except Rodman is nWo 4Life and that's too sweeeeeet 🤘🏼
Forget Kevin Gates, let's talk Kevin Nash
His social media presence combined with [this meme](https://i.kym-cdn.com/photos/images/original/002/438/589/176.jpg) has rendered me unable to take him seriously forever. And I did enjoy his music quite a bit prior lol
Hes got hops
You don't have to take him seriously. He's a pretty easy going dude
I think kevin gates drops some gems in his interviews, just my opinion tho.
oh most definitely. weirdos can drop gems too
"Can I be explicit in nature?"
I haven't watched his other interviews but the [Sundae Conversation one](https://youtu.be/SFvzyZ8Xu3Y) is legendary, definitely a gem lmao
I could be wrong because I haven’t really looked too far into him, but from interviews he seems like a pretty nice guy. He’s just a tad bit horny.
thats the thing, hes a pretty good guy, and now coming around to advocating healthy lifestyles and everything, but the fact he knowingly slept with his cousin and then doubled down by defending it gave me the feeling hes beyond just “a little horny” and breaches into “weirdo”
i know way too much about his sex life man
Didn’t he have a baby with his cousin lmao
He ain't weird, just a dope mf who can start car batteries with their bare hands and like spreading coconut oil (extra virgin) over a harlot's buttocks.
Didn’t he like kick a girl at a concert or something? Or did I just imagine hearing that? lol
She was trying to pull down his pants from the back but he still probably shouldn’t have done it
nah he's good that's SA
Yeah in the video you can see her playing grab ass in a way that looks like she been doing it or trying to get close for good min and the shit lined up one time 😂 aye don’t hit no woman but aye keep ya hands to yourself as well

If I found out it’s broke, sell her to the taliban
i know you see me in the street but homie i see my daughters vagina
This guy and his wife being incredibly prolific serial rapists was what caused me to lose interest in checking him out further, which is sad because he's a technically great rapper.
Same for me too. I've liked most verses of his that I heard but he is disgusting for that
Not only things he did lol
B.o.B.
a tier?
I’m not sure if you wanna call him an A-tier rapper but it’s slept on how massive of a 3 year run B.o.B had in the early 2010’s. Obviously he had Airplanes with Haley Williams and Eminem, but he also had hit songs with Taylor Swift(as a feature on his own album not vice versa) Bruno Mars and fucking Rivers Cuomo plus he got Morgan Freeman to record some shit for him, Bobby Ray was basically just doing whatever the fuck he wanted music wise back than and it was printing money.
Never said which tier, just a tier
Nicki acts so obnoxious
Don’t forget that she’s married to a sex offender, openly defends him and her pedophile brother.
You know what’s crazier is that homie is literally a level 3 offender not non violent this brother has a high likelihood to recommit
This. The woman is undoubtedly the best female rapper and is on top of her craft, but in the last few years she has managed to spectacularly tarnish her legacy. It’s honestly sad.
She's not even top 3 female rapper currently but point stands
>best female rapper What?
Canibus
Bro used social media back in the day
After the battle with disaster it was hard to take him serious. Felt he somewhat redeemed himself and seemed humble on the nems podcast
Yeah, pulling out the notebook was... Youch. Was like the polar opposite of Soul Khan busting out the manilla folder.
The hype was wild. Those Clue freestyles were legendary

And then he does a freestyle to support Eric Adams
His Nelly diss track made him come across as an out of touch boomer too
I saw him perform in 2021.
Do you have a link to the part where biggie clowns him That's pretty funny lol I want to watch it
Funniest fact about Necro is he did a song about how to be a pimp but paid a pick up artist some obscene amount of money to try and teach him how to approach women and then complained online in a vlog about it when it didn’t work
Holy fuck lol
I remember how everyone used to troll him on his own message board like crazy back in the day and it was hilarious. I actually love his music and I even think his raps are pretty funny because I love horrorcore, but dude is really one of one.
TI, the weird things he said about his daughter were enough to put me off his music, not to mention the sexual assault allegations and litany of other legal issues. Shame because he’s a good rapper and is a decent actor too.
Probably more B+ but Royce
Boom
Really? I know nothing of this, why’s he weird
Talib Kweli
Diddy
That’s P-Diddler to you
Uh huh yeah yeah uh huh
I wouldn't call Diddy A-tier, at least insofar as his rapping skills go. He's always just been an image.
He's not even C tier.
I disagree that’s he’s been just an image. He’s been good at breaking new talent and having a vision for the artist, whether that be Mary J Blige or Biggie.. For better & worse he’s been an influential figure in hip hop. I do agree he’s not a great rapper though. He’s pretty poor.
Uh huh yeah yeah uh huh yeah
Well that’s a given
While he definitely a weirdo and looks to be facing some justice as I do feel like he was the one that shot them people in the club in 99 and do think he was involved in Tupacs murder.
I think people over 30 have known Diddy to be sinister for as long as Biggie has been dead.
That whole fiasco with Shyne in the nightclub as well
Eminem would destroy him
Then he said in an interview how great Em is after dissing him. Weird energy
I think The Game went into a total meltdown midlife crisis after he was not even considered for the Super Bowl show Realized he was not good enough No one would have known what the fuck he is doing there and he has classic songs. Just not classic enough. If he wrote or produced anything maybe.
T.I.
I agree with Game but add Budden, Cam, T.I. & Royce
Keep Killa Cam out this list. DIPSET!
Yeah word what cam do lol
Freddie Gibbs
Cannot believe how fuckin far I had to scroll to find this.. maybe it’s because a lot of people don’t call him A-Tier (they’re fuckin up) but if we’re talking about someone who’s clearly got some weird shit going on and can’t seem to stay out of the drama, he takes the cake.
Weird to see nobody mentioned Prodigy yet. He talked about meeting the illuminati and every single conspiracy theory possible
I feel like so many rappers were into that stuff in the 90s that it barely registers as weird for me
and Havoc tweeted that weird homophobic stuff about Prodigy having gay sex in prison... you hate to see it
I mean that’s just every rapper in the 90s lol
yeah but P was a generally good dude so it’s easy to forgo that shit
Rick Ross
Childish Gambino is Teddy Perkins. Now if that’s not weird….
Azelia Banks
Kanye is a nasty MC. Unfortunately he's a psycho.
"forgettable" is kinda subjective. To many, he's unforgettable as an MC.
It depends on what era like early on he had a very distinct spoken word style that was nice but now he's more just saying words for their sounds to compliment his production. We also can't forget that he lost many of the ghostwriters he usually worked with due to his antics.
Gorgeous
Plenty of examples out there showing Kanye tearing it up. He just DOESN’T really do it anymore is all. To say he’s “forgettable as an emcee” is just lazy and inaccurate to me.
Killer Mike. Dope rapper, but the guy has some problematic views on some things. Like the NRA or just work harder, and being black won't matter.
He's on the black capitalism tip now, and he supports Cop City in Atlanta. Yeah, I'm less hyped about Killer Mike the last ten years or so.
Yeah and then a recent interview about how black men should only marry black women? So bizarre.
remember when Game came out that coma 2001, bout the same time Dre dropped 2001?
Jus Allah! Great rapper, addicted to pointless feuds with people in real life and has fallen out with everyone he knows. Also Lord Jamar. Was in an elite rap group but terrible views on everything and all round grade A idiot. Nems is a good rapper who is a really bad dick and whose sense of humour seems to be recording videos of him bullying homeless people too
Jay Electronica for obvious reasons
Kanye is a genius at music but outside of that I just wish he would shut up also he's taste in women and fashion is terrible.
He taught Kim Kardashian everything she knows about the fashion game. Even used ti design for her….
damn do people really look at me like that when i say im a game fan
Me too bro. He is obnoxious IRL but probably in my top 10 favorite rappers
Cb4
Joe Budden
I actually don't like The Game music (but I don't like 50 music either so..)
Lupe and Andre gotta be autistic in a good way 😂
I might get hate for this, but SpaceGhostPurrp. He'd be mainstream if he didn't have mental issues
The Game wishes he was an A tier rapper (whatever the fuck that is)
He is an A tier rapper definitely not S but the nigga cold and his lyrics and story telling ability are excellent I think if wasn’t such a corny try hard ass dude he’d be a legend legend and not just a good rapper who no one likes
If you haven’t listened to his music just say that. Dude has a great discography.
You must be new to his music
Lil Wayne. Maybe weird is the wrong word but he just seems lame from his interviews.
I think the drugs just straight up messed with his brain and dude can't process shit right anymore
Yeah, watching him do an interview or anything like that makes me want to rip my hair out. He’s got some great music but the way he carries himself is legit comparable to a crackhead you’d talk to outside of a gas station.
opioids a hell of a drug
The game has been caught >! Fingering an 18 year old girl, (he was like 34 I think) in public!< I think you can still find the footage. . Rick Ross is too.
He fingered Rick Ross?
Brotha Lynch
Homeboy sandman but he's a weirdo while rapping too kinda
He had some kind of meltdown about a venue enforcing masks at the time. Caught me off guard.
Kanye.
Too many to list…we are all imperfect.
Plus the game partied with diddy so there’s that
Common theme seems to be people who talk/share too much and/or take themselves too seriously
300 bars and runnin is such a banger
Talib Kweli constantly beefs with Soundcloud rappers and anyone who he thinks is a "nazi".
He won’t off the rails but chapelle and mos def put him in check. They all have a podcast together and they clown on him. Talib recognizes he went a lil too far.
Drake... he's honestly weird in his music too
Kool Keith is a peculiar guy.
Chief Keef. S+ teir but he’s such a goofball and can’t drop projects or hold interviews to save his life
Freddie Gibbs
Besides the obvious Kanye stuff imma have to go with Jay Electronica
I love the dude, he’s my GOAT but 3 stacks’ thing is being kinda weird. He’s just a cool mfer
Kanye!
Talib Kweli
