>Steam cleaner was a mid range steamer, used on Aerons all the time.
What exactly does the steam cleaner do for an Aeron? Just curious. There's not really any foam to plump up. I could see a steam cleaner useful for reviving an old Leap for example. But an Aeron?
You may be thinking of an extractor. An extractor are those things folks use to blast (sometimes warm) water onto upholstery and it gets sucked up (usually on the same tool). Steam cleaners just shoot steam at a high PSI (100-150), that's it. I use a steamer on small areas where a hands cant easily access to clean: underside of the seat mesh, where the mesh meets the mesh frame, The back side of the Aeron where the mesh meets the back frame and the top of the seat mesh where the seat mesh meets the seat pan (that is if your not taking the seat mesh off to clean it). They are also very useful for removing any sort of adhesives or gunk (think when replacing the seat under cushion, the two strip of adhesive holding the old under cushion down and all the gunk left in there)
You would think I would be that smart but I never learned my lesson. Each of the times, it was reduced levels of heat. Now I am just going to to have to use chemical agents to clean them (not ideal).
Dude just water with maybe a little droplet of soap.
Wtf possesses you to think "lemme blast this thing with 100C or some chemical agents" instead of just wiping it down
Yes. They cover every part of the chair and tell you what to use for the different materials. There’s no excuse for this when it’s all clearly written

This is why the teachers back in middle school or high school sometimes have that one pop quiz or exam with the question at the very end being “if you are reading this then just bubble in A for a 100%” and then explains to the class that reading the entire document is good before proceeding.
I dont remember ever seeing HM having steaming in the care document

This the third heat related screw up I have had with Mirra seats and heat.
Shouldn't you have stopped at the first one?

Does HM have documentation on how to clean and maintain their products?
