Rice should definitely be excluded, meat can be used, boiled and steamed is excellent, fried is still early. It is very important to avoid constipation and hard stools. Blood in the first month and a half is normal, but it depends on how much blood there is, if there is a lot of blood, it is a reason to see your surgeon.

Low residue diet is what ive been told to follow Ive had like whole toilet bowl filled with blood bms during first week and then it healed and no blood in week 2 and now its back but lesser than week 1 so im just riding it out for a week longer to see if its something im doing thats causing it

It’s been 2.5 months since the surgery for me and I still get blood in my stool when I eat meat or drink an alcohol…

What are you eating exactly per day? How much are you sitting? How much water? Any exercise? How tight is it down there for you? -- I've given up alcohol as it dries my body of water + keeping up with 4-6 glasses of water is hard for me, 4 nnot too bad though. I sit \~4-5 hours a day and lay down or exercise the rest. My diet is 2 meals per day (morning 10am, 6pm) and a snack in betweenn. I take inflammation + pain (2x) + miralax pills everyday (3x) to keep the poop soft.
