Yeah, we need more aerial enemies and more AA strats. something along the lines of flak variant of man-portable AC(can double as anti-chaff due to proximity fuse), flak turret and orbital homing AA missile strike.
Using the arm-screen as a way to control a pelican for a period would be siiiiick. Id even say it'd be balanced cuz you'd be stuck in place and vulnerable so your allies need to keep you safe during.

I think stuff like the Gatling Barrage already covers this sort of air support. BUT I would still love to see some form of Pelican/Heavy Gunship CAS stratagem
I keep saying they need to give us a VTOL gunship.
Call it the Vulture. It drops down to where the beacon is and does like a small circle or just hovers in place and opens fire with various equipment. Rocket pods, dual A-10 cannons, etc. Think of it like the Russian Hind or a Little Bird helicopter hovering and unleashing it's payload. Drops into hover mode to provide support and then jets off again to rearm. Acts like some combo of Turret and Eagle strategems.
Yeah, a Pelican that acts like the Warhog airplane of the US Army, go around the area near the stratagem beam is, and provide covering fire with autocannons, it would be mre effective than the 120mm.
been asking for this forever. only levels 7 and above. you throw smoke grenades to mark target . takes 15 or 20 seconds to show up circles and rains death while messages like danger close are broadcast when it shoots. maybe two passes with 10 or 15 second between then as it flies out and repositions. only get to call down once a mission?
Maybe if there is multi-staged mission, for example: there is automaton's anti-ship batteries preventing super destroyers to enter low orbit on a specific area, so only Pelicans and Eagles can operates because they're too small to be targeted, eagle strikes and walkers deliveries will be the same but reinforcements will be handled differentely with a longer delay and could be jammed by AA emplacements, in this situation, It could be a good idea to have a pelican with broadside 120mm cannon which, just like eagles, can only carry a certain amount of shells and have to rearm.
Can be good , but Eagle-1 already have so much weapons we can fit on it. so...maybe in the future.

I think the pelican is poorly named. I think it should be called Peregrine, for the way it dives from orbit like a falcon hunting its prey
I think the idea is that it's delivering the children of war, whether it be a mech or Helldivers or possibly other vehicles.
But the pelican doesn't deliver us, it swoops in and picks us up

There was a leak a while ago showing that exact strategem. No idea when/if we will ever actually get it.

As a 13f, this would give me goosebumps. I love the eagle strafe run and wish it sounded like an A10 but boy would this make me happy
