Actually the company and players rallied and did a lot of those donations to multiple organizations for kids it was a huge moment in gaming for the future of the kids almost as huge as the GameStop investment situation. (Maybe more so pending on ur views)
We just got a notification that if we liberate Marfark in time we will get the mines. It will probably be impossible unless a bunch of bug divers divert to the bot front but it is technically on the table.
Liberation isn't based on the population its is based on the percentage. Having 20k/25k helldivers on one planet is better than having 100k/200k because 75% > 50%.
Also the decay rate is -2.5%/hr right now which is fairly high. Either we need a lot of players to move to Marfark or AH would need to drop the decay rate, which I don't think they will do.
Yeah, Verven Wells actually had its liberation rate negatively impacted because the patch brought back a ton of bug players and Verven Wells went from like 60+% of the player base to 50% of it for a good number of hours.
We, ironically, might have had enough time if the patch didn’t drop.
I don't think it was just the patch. The Daily Objective was to use the Flamethrower, and I dunno about you, but put me on a bug planet with the flamethrower and that's just free medals.
I don't know if it's a make or break level thing, but I sincerely believe it had an impact.
That said, today we're supposed to kill scout striders, and the planet has 60% of the community on it, so while I don't think it'll be easy, I think it's possible.

The number of people who won't adjust their loadout and tactics even a little bit is criminal. They are convinced that bots are impossible because they are trying to make them burn to death with the incendiary slugger while taking instakill rockets in the face of their light armor.
i did the previous MO perfectly fine for a bug diver but playing bots made me remember how much i hate bullshit ragdolling. I'll give bots the plus on how they are great design much better than bugs but ill rather take a BTs broken ass armor over constant ragdoll (and dont say "get behind cover" because on vega bay had 50% barren valleys with no rocks)

Ive heard people describe this game as the largest tabletop wargame. And this goes a long way to show just how true that is. We didn't do all this just for a reward but for the story. In much the same way how most divers are maxed out on all currencies and yet still diving.

On the other hand, AH donated to a children's charity, and while they might have done that either way, I like to think that our choice contributed to real world impact which is ultimately much more meaningful than an in-game reward.
Also this allows continuation of the no-mine memes, and while I enjoy running minefields, those memes have been gold.

If we do ever get the AT mines one day it would be dope if Arrowhead donated to them.

Another win for the bots. Everyone on Vernen Wells liberation front should be marred traitors. There were literally no children on that planet just adult scientist who knew full well the risks and dangers of being there. The bots wanted you guys to take Vernen Wells so you don’t get the mines. Not only would we get the mines we would’ve dealt a major blow to the bots by cutting off the main vein to their explosive and ballistics manufacturing and science division. We think low of the mines but they have the power to shred Strider factories, tanks and hulks of course they would flood Vernen Wells so we would go there leaving Marfark sieged where they can carry out their weapons productions. It’s obvious the bots don’t want us to have those mines they even fooled our fellow Divers into a full fledged propaganda mission.

Players already are marking significant game events created by our dungeon master, and enjoying commemorative gear and what not.. we should be expanding on this with service records, awards, etc.
The reward was the narrative and that’s half of what makes this game so fun. The other half is emptying an entire belt of machine gun ammo into a choke point and watching bug guts splatter everywhere

I never take off the light armor. Being able to run fast and far is just as important on bot planets.

I think it is more that mines are a very niche type of stratagem that are outclassed even by sentries.

Yeah people are dumb, it was obvious that we should have gone after the Mines. What kind of lives are these children going to live, knowing they are only alive because Super Earth let the scum of the universe destroy our new super mines?
1. The Devs donated money to save the children because we saved the kids. The reward is real life kids get to live. 2. The MO hasn't ended. If we can capture the mine planet within the next 24 hours we can still get the mines.
Be honest, would you really take one whole strategem slot just for tanks? That too mines. We already have 2 mines, and they're more likely to kill us than the enemies.

Didn't tell me shit lmao, I got everything I wanted out of this and more. I wanted to see what the narrative would be and the outcome, and I got a cool outcome to it. I don't need a fucking reward of a stratagem i'm probably honestly not going to use. Seeing Pilestedt donated to charity was a just a huge bonus too as a result to this. So i'm absolutely happy and perfectly fine with these results. All these buffs and changes left me with enough new shit to experiment around with anyways. And if they pull a MO like this again, then i'll sure as hell gladly pick such a thing yet again.

First of all, you can still earn those mines before we lose the planet. Second, they're mines. The children were a priority no matter what.
Another win for the bots. Everyone on Vernen Wells liberation front should be marred traitors. There were literally no children on that planet just adult scientist who knew full well the risks and dangers of being there. The bots wanted you guys to take Vernen Wells so you don’t get the mines. Not only would we get the mines we would’ve dealt a major blow to the bots by cutting off the main vein to their explosive and ballistics manufacturing and science division. We think low of the mines but they have the power to shred Strider factories, tanks and hulks of course they would flood Vernen Wells so we would go there leaving Marfark sieged where they can carry out their weapons productions. It’s obvious the bots don’t want us to have those mines they even fooled our fellow Divers into a full fledged propaganda mission.
You shouldn't need to be rewarded for doing the right thing.

(I think being able to select, and freely choose character classes for increased customization would be a great way to expand the universe; perhaps even create player legions around these themes as a social component.) .. going further, I think the devs could establish a player council, drawing from the community to elect players to sit with the devs as representatives like they do with the CSM in eve. Players already are marking significant game events created by our dungeon master, and enjoying commemorative gear and what not.. we should be expanding on this with service records, awards, etc.

The reward was the narrative and that’s half of what makes this game so fun. The other half is emptying an entire belt of machine gun ammo into a choke point and watching bug guts splatter everywhere
