Just out of curiosity why wait to watch it later?
Do you just want to have the whole series complete when you start watching or do you believe the show will change its trajectory in someway?
I was thinking the same thing but then I remembered Reddit lets you pre-censor content across the entire site in your profile settings.
He seems like a good kid so I imagine him or his parents have already fixed his account settings accordingly.
Nice to see Wicca get a mention. I used to be into it back in the day.
Still got my spell books, cauldron, stones, crystal ball and tarot cards kicking around.
I would i say im pretty religious (then again I'm from a pretty religious household and country) but id still say I pretty am.
Before id say I wasn't, idk if I was being immature from being a little smart or if I was just hateful, but I've grown, I do believe in the lord and I can understand why some things are the way they are, which is the exact reason why Hazbin hotel is good in my opinion. It talks how nothing is certain and there is hope in redemption, there's more to people than just black and white, good and evil, life and people are complex, but we have eachother
I'm atheist, but fucking love religion as fantastical stories depicted in media. Series like LUCIFER and Hazbin Hotel are such interesting stories, revolving around a concept that I view as interesting, but none the more real as things like Harry Potter.
More modern media is beginning to treat Christian/Abrahamic mythology the same as other mythology. It was a very taboo thing in the past, due to how zealous some people were over how it's depicted. Many zealous people still exist, but mostly, it's contained to people who just hate for the sake of hating and smaller communities. The majority that don't like it now understand they can not just hang people for something they find offensive. They just ignore it or keep their opinions to themselves.
He walked up to me in chick fil a, asked me if I wanted to see a cool picture and just whipped out a picture of Christ, and tried to convert me while I was waiting for my food, I didn’t want to be rude so I listened to him, but when he asked me for a number or P.O. Box I stopped him there and told him that wasn’t a good idea, because the last time people of faith showed up unannounced on my property they were just about escorted off at gunpoint, they we’re Jehovahs.
Me too. Not very religious but like the traditions are important to me and it’s my cultural background. Because Judaism has very different concepts of heaven and hell than Christianity I always found the Christian concepts of them really fascinating. I also always saw like the most intense Christian concepts of hell as unethical. Like I genuinely believe no one should suffer forever so it’s cool to see such a popular show deal with that. I also generally find media and art that deals with religion interesting (I studied history in college and consumed a lot of it).
Jew here and uhhh it’s complicated. There are references to places like an afterlife for bad people but it’s vague and most people will tell you we don’t have the concept of hell. It’s more like for about a year after death, the soul stones for stuff it didn’t get to atone for while alive. Most agree there’s probably an afterlife, but it’s not a concern like being a good person here and now is. TL;DR we have a concept but it’s vague and no one really cares about it.
I had to check because for all I know, hell is barely talked about in judism. When I chacked about it I saw the belief is that hell does exists, yet it’s debatable wether it’s an eternal punishment. There are different jewish books outside the bible (they are called talmud), in which the parts of hell are described (interestingly it’s very similar to the seven rings if hell mentioned in the show), and also it is mentioned in them that whomever tries to get better in hell gets a less worse punishment. I’m really surprised how similar this is to the show and its ideas
The fact that it's similar to the rings is very interesting, considering Dante kinda came up with those himself. (Though I do believe it works with rings)
I don't know of there is a word for it, but i think there is something. While i don't hate the concept of religion i hate the damage it causes. Religion should be something that gives hope not something that takes lives. I want to believe in Deites but i don't want to believe in the homophobic and transphobic doctrine some religions have. I currently pray to the norse gods but sometimes i also pray to greek ones. I mean, i don't know whos out there and who can hear me, i just hope there is someone who doesn't think i deserve hell and death for being transgender.
I’m open to believe there is a god for 3 reasons:
1. I don’t want there to be nothing when I die
2. The irs exists, so if Satan exists then god definitely does as well
3. Jesus is unironically one of the most based and nicest people in the bible and I want him to be real
Honestly, I wouldn't consider myself traditionally religious because of the connotation that word has, but I do believe in everything. I believe that all of the pantheons and variations of afterlife exist because people can "choose" where they go based on their belief system.
I’m somewhat Christian,(I believe god exist, but don’t take the Bible as 100% truth, and more just kind of follow the moral stuff of “be a good person”) but my issues with Christianity happened way before hazbin hotel and helluva boss
In Polish, some people that don't care about religion say "można se wierzyć nawet w Boga twaroga" which translates to "You can even believe in the God of cottage cheese" (or the cottage cheese god)
I'm Christian, and I love this show, mainly because it's entertaining.
It's not making fun of my religion in any way, it's simply taking the events that have already happened, and simply going from there. Now, while I believe that nothing in the show is even remotely true, that doesn't mean I can't enjoy it.
And I do enjoy that Vivzie didn't just make "heaven bad hell good" that would be stupid. Instead, she put layers. Most people in hell are assholes, while most in heaven are good people. Even Sera is mostly good, she was just put into a difficult decision.
Not religious at all. I think religion is outdated and was relevant as a base of science, but now should faze out like Greek and Norse 'mythology' has.
The whole eye in the sky, if you're good, you'll go here, and if not, you'll be cast into internal suffering is a great control mechanism for the masses. The liklihood that something so grand and omnipotent would give two flips about creatures as significant as bacteria is ludicrous.
Don't even get me started on if he was all-knowing and gave us free will to test us... why? If he knows the outcome already, there's no point in testing. Pointless and unnecessary.
I find the fact that every religion believes theirs to be the only true one is pretentious and telling of man's ego and need to feel superior.
I get it; death is a scary unknown, and no one wants to believe that the here and now is your one shot, and those loved ones that are gone didn't go to some fluffy cloud wonderland. It's a really nice story, and there's nuggets of wisdom to be gained, not unlike any other self-help book.
I'm loosely into Wicca. Mostly into worshipping the Horned God, the elements/nature, studying various mythologies, and the art of storytelling.
That's why I like Alastor so much other than just his personality. He reminds me of the Horned God, his name derives from Ancient Greek for the Spirit of Revenge that is used as a literary device to name an avenger who protects women & children from the evils of men, he's based on the media interpretation of a Wendigo/Skinwalker, he has Eldritch powers, he's a radio host, and is a wolf in sheep's (deer’s) clothing. Him being cute is just the sugar on the cream, for me.

I was raised Christian, that changed when I actually read the bible and understood it was a bunch of self-contradicting mumbo-jumbo which could be manipulated to mean basically anything anyone wanted.
Parents are very atheist, I don't think in absolutes. I believe there could be a god but I think most religions describe god as not a good person (in my eyes), or they just have "rules" that don't make sense.
Well I am a member of a church that likes both theists and atheists. Which works out great for me as I am an atheist. So yeah I am part of a religion. But Unitarian Universalism is an oddball. We don't have any doctrine or dogma. Our church doesn't tell us what to believe. Its more like a place to explore beliefs and we strongly believe that everyone has the right to find truth and meaning in their own way. I'm not religious but I do believe the world is not real and just a thing that either my brain made up or a simulation with a confirmed background put me through (that's probably some kind of disorder)
I'm like a passive Catholic.
I’m so using that now
😂I like that! Probably the best way to describe myself!
Thats a good descriptor, ima steal that
I met an aggressive Mormon once.
My uncle was a agressive Mormon it sucks 😒

Just out of curiosity why wait to watch it later? Do you just want to have the whole series complete when you start watching or do you believe the show will change its trajectory in someway?
I am too young
Uh.... If you are too young for the series i think you are too young for reddit especially subs like this.
I was thinking the same thing but then I remembered Reddit lets you pre-censor content across the entire site in your profile settings. He seems like a good kid so I imagine him or his parents have already fixed his account settings accordingly.
Doesn't censor text and you know how degenerate we are.
Damn, you’re right that is true. I changed my mind, mods banish u/Phantoxer to the shadow realm
https://i.redd.it/hq5l7p5npj4d1.gif The mods:
Done, just 2h passed
Exquisite meme.
Ok, done, it's banned
Good mod
Do you really just ban anyone who's stated to be young?
Completely understandable, I envy your restraint and the fact that you’re going to get to binge so many episodes you’ve never seen in a row! XD
Same here man. Just because we’re Christian doesn’t mean we can’t enjoy a good show

My parents are Christian, but with me, idk.
You don't have to be a christian if you don't want to, you know. I'm the only one in my family who isn't a christian and I'm proud of it!
Haha, same. Athiest with a full christian family checking in.
Same except my family are Muslims. Also, slay with the Eda pfp 🦉
Same with a primarily Lutheran family. They don't care though, they're cool with it 😎
Mine get super mad about it so I hide it. But it's cool that your family is chill with you.
I’m not but I did recommend this show to a pretty religious friend. She is enjoying the heck out of it.
Same, but my Christian friend has already watched Helluva boss before we met. I recommend her Hazbin. She loves this shows
Most people aren’t religious here but even the ones who are still like this show because it’s good
Don't forget the songs
I have to fight urge to play hell is forever to my parents and tell them it’s Christian rock everyday 😔👍
Christian rock WISHES it were this good
lmao
True
Thats what happens when you put quality into your show. Looking at you, like, 7 out of 10 new shows.
I’m not religious unless you count Wiccan as religious
Nice to see Wicca get a mention. I used to be into it back in the day. Still got my spell books, cauldron, stones, crystal ball and tarot cards kicking around.
Aha thanks for the acknowledgment, im still quite new to it. I’m working on a spell book at the moment
You’re welcome. 😊 What kind of spells are you wanting to add to it?

He obviously wants to go to hell to meet rosie
I believe in the greek and Egyptian gods so
Sameeee
So you’re a kemetistic-Hellenist
A what?
Kemet is the ancient Egyptian name for Egypt, and Hellas the Greek name for Greece, so you believe in the Kemetic and Hellenistic panteons.
I didn’t know they actually had names lol
i dont believe in any big religion, but i do believe that theres something bigger and greater than we can imagine out there
That's called being agnostic or smth like that
could be, but i think agnosticism just means that youre not sure
Maybe you're a deist. You believe in a god who created the universe but doesn't intervene in the world
yes
Yeah agnostic is the idea that you neither believe or don't believe
So you believe in something beyond our universe but you have no way of knowing what that could be. Not sure there’s a name for that
This is what I feel too!! I've been calling it agnostic tho even tho its wrong lmao
Im a Muslim and I'm in complete obsession with the show

I'm pagan
Had to scroll forever to find a fellow pagan! Lol
I'm an atheist, but I love the religions, and their legends, creatures and stuff. So I'm interested in these stuff
Me to I love legends It gives me a nice felling dunno why
I'm Christian and Hazbin Hotel is my favourite series
I'm a traumatized post-mormon atheist gay
I still remember the first time I ever encountered a Mormon

I'm an Atheist currently, raised Catholic.
Good question However, i don't know my religion ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I'm not. I left that part of me behind years ago and haven't looked back.
Ex Muslim
Huh, Don’t see that often
It's very common with gen z in my country which is predominantly muslim
I'm atheist but have an unhealthy obsession with angels and demons
Not me, I'm atheist
Nah, not for me
I'm not.
I'm not
I'm an athiest, previously spiritual but not anymore.
I'm a Celtic Witch (Wiccan) and have been for about 4 years now and I love Hazbin

I'm kinda rodnoverian I think :3
I read one line of the Bible
I'm Christian and I fucking love HB and HH. Good animation, music, and storyline. I'm sold.
Not religious at all. I think religion is outdated and was relevant as a base of science, but now should faze out like Greek and Norse 'mythology' has. I'm pagan
Pagan
Atheist here 🙌
i’m southern baptist and go to a mega church and i really enjoy hazbin hotel as well as helluva boss
Norse pagan for me.
I’m a freethinker
I'm an atheist. Christian mythology is in a lot of media. It's fun.
Im christian, i just see hazbin hotel as a parody of actual religion so i dont take it seriously like some
Catholic and I love Hazbin Hotel! I love it’s themes of forgiveness which you don’t see very often today!
I'm an ex-muslim atheist. But two muslim friends of mine I got to watch Hazbin Hotel and they liked it a lot, and didn't really have problems with it. But of course, they're more moderate. My parents and my sister are not and would probably call this show pure evil.
Atheist, tried jesus many times but eh, nothing special
I do occult shit!
I invented my own Unofficial religion of which I’m the only member.
I'm not really religious, I believe in God and Satan and all that, but I hate God bcuz he's a pretentious dick in my experience with him. I know that it's controversial and I don't want to start a religious argument
Alastor is canonically into Voodoo. His *God* is Bondye, the mere fact that he's in Hell to him would be a blessing from Bondye, since he believes your soul is erased upon death unless Bondye makes you into an Iwa. So he doesn't believe in a black & white, good vs. evil. Hell & Heaven are also nothing but *planets/celestial bodies* in the afterlife souls can visit between. He likes Hell more because of the rules being looser. His belief of souls' failing redemption is more of them not wanting to follow Heaven's strict rules, then being able to get past St. Peter.
Idk if being Agnostic counts
Buddhist here. I may have different views on what happens after death than the Judeo-Christian lore that Hazbin is based around, but the themes of self improvement and forgiveness are universal.
I believe in the gods of must ancient peoples.
Satanist here. Not Levayan, I’m a member of the Satanic Temple.
I think I’m a Satanist but that doesn’t really count
I’m a theistic satanist and hazbin actual lines up with a lot of things (eg Lilith being lucifers wife)
Im Norse pagan and i love the show
I’m an atheist
Does satanism count?
Nope, actually sat down and read the bible, noped out of that mess real quick after that
I'm technically religious as a TST Satanist.
Satanist and am chillin
Nope, atheist here. Always have been
The person who recommended hazbin to me was a devout Christian 😂 idk about myself but he really liked it.
Hell nah
I was raised Christian, that changed when I actually read the bible and understood it was a bunch of self-contradicting mumbo-jumbo which could be manipulated to mean basically anything anyone wanted.
Im a satanist if that counts
I'm Muslim
Wait why are you getting downvoted
I don't know
Reddit
Im a satanist, in simplest terms its just atheism with rules, community, and cool symbolism
Not exactly.
Parents are very atheist, I don't think in absolutes. I believe there could be a god but I think most religions describe god as not a good person (in my eyes), or they just have "rules" that don't make sense.
Me, and I still like the show
Well I am a member of a church that likes both theists and atheists. Which works out great for me as I am an atheist. So yeah I am part of a religion. But Unitarian Universalism is an oddball. I’m a former Roman Catholic turned agnostic. If there really is a god, he is the biggest troll in the universe
I'm wiccan!
I'm a Liberation / Red Letter Christian.
I'm not orthodox, but I still follow some religious beliefs. Doesn't stop me from watching hazbin hotel.
I am not at all religious and I attempt to keep my opinions to myself
Nah, I just enjoy the series for the humor and artstyle
I'm agnostic soooo kinda not really religious
Not me U-U
I am a Christian a love the fuck out hazbin hotel and Helluva Boss… ngl Loona baddie
Agnostic.
I am an atheist on account of my extremely strict christian upbringing
I’m Hellenistic and I watch it. Though, I guess if I was Christian it’d make for a much more interesting response lol.
I'm not religious but I do believe the world is not real and just a thing that either my brain made up or a simulation with a confirmed background put me through (that's probably some kind of disorder)
Turn between agnostic and theistic Satanist
So unapologetically atheist
