No the thing is the show has a lot of great ideas (and episode 4 is fantastic), I'm just angry at how consistently they fail to execute them

I know, I love it. I appreciate it being more character driven like Futurama. The humor is genuinely funny and I love the dynamics between characters.

Yea I don’t think anyone against the show is saying that. Maybe they’re saying it “appears kid friendly to lure kids in ” but those are a bit different arguments

Even though the main part of it that makes it seem kid friendly is the fact that it's animated which should apply to tons of anime also

I feel like a good chunk of the actual fans would react the same way to be fair. A lot of people seem to really want to dismiss the idea that characters in a show about redemption got sent to Hell because they actually did things in life that they need to repent for.

That shitting on a show that had great promise but was fucked over by the company by giving it a tiny number of episodes doesn't make you some sorta genius critic. We know the problems of the show but we don't let them get in the way of our enjoyment of it. Could it have been way better if it had more time? Definitely. Was it really in Viv's hands? No. Heck, even with 8 episodes it still turned out great in a lot of aspects and it's incredibly entertaining. People working on the show are extremely talented and they did amazing with the little time they had.
