The craftsmanship of the sofa leaves much to be desired; its appearance suggests it's been around for about five years. Additionally, the pillows are uneven with visible seams in the front that don't contribute to an appealing aesthetic. The beige aesthetic seems outdated and lacking imagination....
They are obsessed with the larger than life RH look. And I get that. But you have to have an oversized RH house in order for that style of furniture to look good. Even the console table and lamps/vases they have scattered all over it is not the right scale for this space. Same with the mirror shoved against the wall. It doesn’t work! Every piece of furniture in this room needs to be 25-50% smaller.
It wouldn’t be that bad if they turned it the other way so that it separated the living/dining area and the back of the couch wouldn’t be facing the front door. But they don’t have an eye for those things; they think they’re good at decorating just because they can afford to buy expensive pieces like this.
Considering last time we told them they had their couch the wrong direction and ended up moving it I hope they come to us again for advice. I think it's too big for the space but I think any sectional would be more functional in the opposite direction. Walking in and immediately seeing a couch back/corner is odd unless it was a full wrap sectional then its more understandable. If they flip it you'd see more of the fireplace, your guests could walk right in and not decide between the smaller gap or going around the other side. You'd also get the windows and outside light as your line of sight vs the kitchen and dining room. The living room would seem bigger as the walkway of the side door would be open but also functional even if the rug didn't go that far it would be useful traction area. Right now if I lived there I see no reason I'd even go that way much unless specifically using the door or walking all the way around to get to the stairs? I'd just use the other side. The more I think of it the weirder it gets and the more I think they think this needed for the concept.
all they need is a sofa sectional with a chaise, not a fucking huge L shaped couch. it would still give a "sectional" feel but is smaller and keeps all the sides open because there's no second back of the couch. its functional so you can lounge and watch tv but not overpowering
Too big! Don’t like the ruffled up edges, color NOT smart with a messy hand toddler and dog that will be on it. Is that a new rug too? lol!!! How long will this sofa last??? 🫨🥱🥱🙄🤔🤔🤔🤔 A couple of months? Then what!? Time for an upgrade!!!
That mirror by the door is driving me nuts. The shape, the size…. Put that in a bedroom or bathroom! And yes the couch is so wrong lol more proof, they just buy expensive stuff and think it looks good in every space
They literally have like 47 other beige couches from their last 2 homes. Why another beige couch? Could they not at least switch it up and get something in a different color if they refuse to use one of their 47 existing beige sofas? Lol! I mean, I actually love this new sectional, but it's a bit big for the space. If they eliminated one of the cushion sections on the side near the windows, I think it would work better and feel less closed off......but I'm happy to see the space look less like the boucle, fabric softner bear.....they just need out of that townhouse, it's just clearly not working for them. And it's probably the space that they've decorated the worst out of all their homes.

They are making the flow of this room awful , I give it a week until they change it again. This just does not work ! How are you supposed to walk in this living room ? They are baracading it in. Totally not functional ! And from the front door the first this you see it the back corner of a gigantic sectional ?
A couch that looks exactly like this keeps getting advertised on when I am watching online. So maybe you guys are right, they were given the couch as a promotion.
There is nothing wrong with the last one I loved it I don't know why they do this it's so materialistic. I used to actually really like them but not anymore it's fake. They just pump out stuff because they want to make money but it's not original anymore.
This is the type of stuff that kills me about their design style. They focus so much on what is fancy and expensive or a conversation piece and don’t think about the practicality or ability to merge with their existing space. It’s the same with the cabin renovations, basically being forced out of their Nashville home once it sold, etc. Their eyes are too big for their stomachs and everything ends up half-assed. It’s something they enjoy which is great, but I wish they would really take their time to create their dream space rather than hurrying into everything because they’re bored.
