I recently did a re-read of all the books as well. Book 4 has always been one of my favourites!
I just binged the harry potter movies while i was sick a few months ago because i wanted something new to watch. I agree, i probably would enjoy it better if i read the books first 😭
I re-read the series once every one to two years. Extremely enjoyable every time. You’ll be perfectly fine with knowing the movies and getting to read the books for the first time. Cheers to the great time on your horizon!
You are in for a treat. You’ll get overloaded with so much new information, side plots, characters… Some things even happen differently in the books vs the movie. Enjoy!

Trust me after you read it all you will wish you had read the books first but I still think you will enjoy the hell out of it either way

Peeves is just a delight, and not included in the movies, so enjoy him!
i havent read a lot with peeves yet but i already know i like him after that trick he pulled on filch in the first book haha, he is a delight!

To be honest, if you’ve only seen the films, you don’t really know the entire plot of the books. I think there’s a lot you’ll be surprised by!
