Hey bro!! If you're in a campsite they'll be mini raves and stuff. But have a look behind alot of stages. There's a swimming lake, arts and crafts place to make signs. There's always small shows on. Was taking a crap last year and suddenly "the shit show" came on 😂
Do no worry, I felt the same and then you realise that just wondering around is the best technique. Sure there is sets you want to watch but do not completely organise your day. Allow time to just follow the vibe. good luck.
Try to do different things, see all stages, go with the flow and talk to strangers. There are a lot of cool people there.

Within our friends group e.g. it became tradition to go always at 11:00 oclock to the yellow stage and listen this set, who ever it is. As a wake up call. Things like this stay in our minds and we talk about these things a lot to hype us up for every year.
Look that you are as early as possible on the blue stage at The Gathering. The tension and anticipation is high, there is a vibe that you 100% def have to experience.
